Ironically, the Gr.B cars seem to be the absolute worst to handle on dirt, while the trucks are massively fun and stable. You'd think the dedicated rally cars would be, you know... good at rallying.
I think there is some thing wrong with sag in the suspension. Ride hight ends up limiting drop out or sag. Some rally suspension has 40% sag. I think the trucks have a lot more travel that makes them stable.

So a dirt suspension with the right sag and progressive damping would fix things.

Honestly, the low amount of oval tracks in GT7 doesn't matter too much as they don't even add a significant amount of events each month anyway. If Polyphony were to add 3 newer Cup cars to the game, there would probably just be 3 races greeting them and there's enough tracks for that.

Though with a couple more American tracks added such as COTA, Road America, and the return of Indi; Polyphony could ideally make a decent little NASCAR championship with those plus what we have. Northern Isle feels basically like an Unlicensed Bristol and Blue Moon Bay is basically Pocono placed elsewhere.

Glad to see an iconic GT tradition still continues on

Heh, Polyphony Digital isn't even working on the movie; and their delaying habits still seep through.

However, NASCAR are keen to have more road races on their calendar. GT7 is perfect for NASCAR. ;)
Just one thing though. It's getting really annoying that they only leave most race cars with one default livery in their color selection. It's not enough, and also quite tedious to leave the rest to the livery editor. They need to show all the other race cars more love with more default liveries in their color selection, and if we were to have NASCAR, we should be expecting plenty of default liveries to choose from.

I mentioned, a while ago, PD may find it easier for players to create replicas, than for PD to gather licences. There are community liveries for the 2019 season Audi DTM. Liveries for the Gr.3 Supra to mimic Super GT300 Supras.
For sure, it’s annoying. I understand about offering skins for each model. I’d love that. PD created alt liveries for many of the Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars. Also, Racing liveries for AI cars in GT Sport.
Maybe the problem was the community made them too well. Even Kaz said he was blown away by what the GT community were creating(I think that was said during the Mazda 100th Anniversary update). That may have given them an out to lighten the load on building cars. I really don’t know.

We know PD do things in halves. Why only one alt livery for the Gr.3 Supra, STI, Viper, Huracan, etc.? Why not change the colors to have 20 choices each? I can’t call it. Those days of multiple liveries were last seen in GT Sport. I doubt we’ll see alt liveries/models like we saw in GT5 & GT6.

Take a look at GT7's current track list. Does GT7 look like a game that's going to add a car (let alone three) that's meant for ovals? Besides, we can still race the LM24 NASCAR on ovals. Meanwhile, the SF19 and SF23 are at least meant for non-oval circuits. Plus, we do have road cars that were made as homologation specials for NASCAR, like the Superbird.
I agree the G56 car would be best for covering all bases, but this track listing has more ovals than GT5 and 6. At least one stock car is definitely warranted.

Trying to create a custom race with variable weather, but only some circuits allow to choose different weather conditions between the start and finish. Is there a reason for this? Or a way to fix it?

Edit: Actually, just created a fix for myself. If you save race settings with Custom Weather selected, when you load it back, itll have two weather slots available.

AFAIK it depends on the length of the race.
The longer the race the more weather slots.

Have we ever had 2 content update the same month? Is there a chance to get the July Update the 7th august and the August update like the 26/27th?
This has happened before - the GT Sport update that introduced the Super Formulas was the second March 2019 update.

But I wouldn't hold your breath here, it's fairly certain they've skipped July to make sure they can tie in to the movie, like how they skipped January before the release of PSVR2. If anything, that's the trend, "no update the month before a major event".

As for update delaying: TGR Cup scheduling means there has to be something on August 7 to ensure the GR Corolla is playable in free practice for that championship's final round.

I don’t think the updated being tied to the movie in any shape or form is certain at all.

There aren't enough ovals for nascar ?
There is Northern Isle, Blue moon bay , Daytona , Route X and Broad bean (not a real oval but close) . GT5/6 didn't have Blue moon Bay or Northern Isle but had Twin Ring and Indi . Honestly the combo GT7 has is better because it has every variant of oval . Twin ring's oval isn't even a thing any more . Indi is alright but like we already have enough ovals and 1000$ if we did get nascar 9/10 lobbies will be Daytona .

Also fun fact. The reason GT Sport had three ovals ( I am counting broad bean) Is because PD originally intended to have seperate GR3 oval variants as evident in the source code. Instead we got oval BOP's .I guess they realized they would need to modify the real Gr.3 cars . The group system was going to be different than what we got , who else remembers that Gr.4 Miata that got removed after making its appearance?

I do hope by the time GT8 rolls around we have updated Gr.4 and 3's but considering there are so few real ICE cars available today due to government stupidity I don't even see how they can feild a new modern grid ( We have more huge ass trucks and SUV's today than ever . You can thank backwards emissions laws for killing economic cars and sports cars and replacing them with gas guzzling tanks )

So...we're waiting for the movie to release for the next update?

The eternal optimist in me hopes that it's a 'full' career with a need to get all the Licenses in order to play the new events. But I also know the perils of getting your hopes up
I'm still having my doubts, if we ever get anything besides new café menus and the occasional online event (e.g. Olympics, regional TTs). At this point I'd be head over heels for a new set of missions and I and S License races while I could imagine we might rather expect a revival of GT Academy in accordance to the story the film is based on. So maybe we get a career for some, but not for all ;)

I’m frankly surprised by the amount of posters who appear to think some link between the movie and the next update is a given. I’m not denying there could be, but I just don’t see the connection aside from the movie using the Gran Turismo name. GT7 is something completely separate.

It would make sense for promoting both the movie and the game.
Its not uncommun in the gaming industry.
Ex: forza motorsport 7 with fate of the furious car pack when that movie released.
Avengers game getting skins from the movies.
Call of duty with neymar, messi and pogba operators during world cup.
Tekken and mortal kombat with guest characters for recent at the time, games, movies or tv shows.

Has anyone actually tested the claim that it can rain on one part of a track while staying dry on another? The weather radar seems to have everything in chunks way too big for that, but maybe that isn’t an accurate representation? Personally I’ve only ever seen the whole track getting wet and drying at the same time.
