With that supposed IMSA partnership, I had a potential idea. What if we get a Bonus Menu featuring the Mazda MX-5 Cup? The races wouldn't feature the NA-based touring car, but instead the more typical NA, ND, and once we get them, the NB and NC as well. There'd be rounds at Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca, and Watkins Glen, with a future round at the Daytona Road Course. Hopefully, if they're added, there could also be rounds at the Indy road course and Lime Rock, as well.

This was a "Championship" event shown back in the GT7 trailers, that hasn't appeared in the game as of yet.

"Championship" as in those multiple race events now at the bottom of the World Circuits region select screen.

No idea why this was delayed or scrapped, but perhaps the IMSA partnership has something to do with it. Something of note is that this championship was located in the "Americas" region, so likely only used circuits from there. This was before the partnership was announced, before Watkins Glen & Road Atlanta were added, and before we had the Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) (the one that comes with a rollcage as standard)

Something notable that may well be nothing but I'm sure will be heavily speculated on: there's a part of the Manufacturers Cup event at the Showdown that's not being revealed until day-of-show. It could just be PD wanting to stop the participants practicing that race in advance, but if you're a new track believer I guess it's something you could pin your hopes to.

I am disappointed the ambulance is going to be locked behind something else, and can't just be purchased. That's 2 new cars that can actually be bought, and 2 locked away behind a one-time source until "a future update".

I don't believe there's a good reason to lock them like this. A special livery or something, sure. Not this.

I hope this doesn't become a pattern.

I do feel sorry for those who can't move on. Reminiscing about the past is one thing, it's the continued anger I don't understand.

As someone who was there with Gran Turismo from the very start, well before in fact. I can acknowledge GT7 is a flawed masterpiece and would love to sit down with Kaz to spell out how I could make it my perfect game. But it's not my game, it's his. It's through his vision we now have a franchise that allows me to play out so many dreams I had as a kid. On an absolute base monetary level, it's a £50 game that has given me daily enjoyment for some 18 months. I just wish other forms of entertainment provided the same level of value!

You really need to progress further than Cafe menu 1 so you don’t have to continually repeat the first 4 races,

Sounds like a you problem since that’s how you’re spending 300 hours in the game.

If you stop focusing on earning money and rather on enjoying the driving in the game, life seems more positive fyi.

I played a career mode for aroundish of 30 hours + 40 from completionist of beating all licenses and missions, I'm not a good driver so it took me this long, yes I admit.

Then I would enjoy custom races and just driving around the game, feeling that career mode is quite empty.

I would do Super GT/N24 races

Do my own silly tunes of some cars, to parody AT class category in N24

So yes, I was doing all of that for 300 hours. I could play much more than that in span of an year, if career mode was good enough.



Edit: The problem is that I don't even want to spend money in this game, because there is no proper content for it. No classic historical races, a lot of cars are just downright useless because of that, again go watch RoflWaffle video and if you won't understand this then I'm afraid that we have to end our discussion. I'm hating GT7, because it could've been much better game, much better game. AAA studio is filled with greediness and laziness, so one would think that GT7's our ray of hope, just like Elden ring...coming back to GT4's roots, but no all of that was just marketing.

Going further more, there is no proper utilization of group c, jgtc and other classic race cars from 80s-90s. They just shove them all and call it a day.

And that's it. Even then you see as best as 5 of them in a grid far away already. Does it feel like a good representation of such legendary race cars to you? Again my problem is that they couldn't just make something more specific on top of that, just making game itself longer in a better way.

No that’s not what I’m saying at all…

I’m saying you don’t have to race the same 4 races and that other cars can be used,

Gr.2 specific races are missing, but the cars can be detuned for other races, with the PP system of course

To earn proper money you only have 4 races, that's all since launch of the game. They've only added 1 Hour Spa race...in span of 18 months.

Problem is that we only have that, just these PP races after campaign that is very lacking in content and freedom as well. It's okay to have these PP races, rewarding good players with tunes, but at the same time we're missing so many specific races.

And let me tell you that besides Gr.2 category we got a lot of events missing. You know how fun could be Like the Wind championship? And don't get me started on endurance races.

Finishing the circuit experience nets you quite a lot of credits, you could try that or again… focus on driving what you have and enjoy driving in the game… you know like actually playing it.

Because I'm a longterm GT fan, coming from ps2 era days. Because I like driving in this game, because I like how pretty this game looks. So there is that. But that's unfortunately not enough to justify it as a game.

Again, the game could be much better. I want this game to be better...yet, PD is gonna do PD things and milk this fanbase till it's dry.

And even then, AI in custom races is just pinnacle of absurdity.
