Yeah the concept of the Custom Race mode is outstanding.

But they kinda took the shine away from it
Sophy AI is coming though, someday..maybe not this year, maybe not next one either. Let copium embrace us. Sophy will fix everything

I just don't like the hypocrisy of the people who say it's the worst game ever, and then still continue to play it.
Like if it's so bad then can't you just stop playing, and find something else to do? Maybe play GT4 or something I don't know.

Personally I just revisit the older games (and other franchises like ACC) for the unique circuits, like Infineon (now Sonoma), Kyalami & Zolder.

I mean the ones that were featured back in GT5 and even then @Nenkai showed on twitter that there is cut championship featuring these cars in GT7 itself. To be clear, I mean cars like Porsche 917K, Ford Mark IV, Ferrari 330 P4 and etc.

Going further more, there is no proper utilization of group c, jgtc and other classic race cars from 80s-90s. They just shove them all and call it a day.

Where is Group C champiomship? JGTC/Classic race cars, there is just none sadly
I wish people would stop using this as an argument. Every GT game has had cut event content, and this is true for basically every game in development anyway.

Please just read my messages carefully and I hope you'll understand my frustration

Not when GT7 career is lackluster. Literally ending only on Gr.3 Championship and yes I'm aware of how many GT5 career events they cut during development, but how about older titles? GT4 had one cut championship and some mission races, that's it. Think about it

I'm really hoping we get a big aftermarket content update at some point. More visible parts, especially wheels. There are tons of brands and wheel styles that deserve to be in the game. I keep tagging PD on Instragram every time Forgeline posts some legit race car using their wheels. I'd love to see the hometown wheel brand in GT and it should be obvious since they're used in international-level motorsports all the time. Forgeline is providing the wheels for the new Corvette GT3 and Mustang GT4. IMSA-raced NSX GT3s used Forgeline wheels also. They've been making race wheels for decades.

Speaking of American motorsports wheels, American Racing is providing the wheels for the new Mustang GT3. Legitness abounds so lets get these new motorsports wheels in the game!

It's a question of licensing to be fair. But I would hope for the best with PD's good parthership with Michelin, if I understood correctly

Something on the aftermarket topic, isn't it strange that parts won via roulette tickets have a "Recommended Retail Price", like we can have the ability to set the price ourselves, but the game offers a recommended ball-park price.

Whether something comes of this, such as an online player marketplace Forza-style, remains to be seen. Remember we also had Snow Tyres in GT Sport that had no use.

Weird thing is that https://www.gtplanet.net/gt-world-finals-quiz-ferrari-vgt-20221122/ during november, players could get a car early and it would be featured in december 2022 update, so who knows
That's not true.

The competition ran from November 27 to December 4 (as actually stated in that article) and the car was delivered to eligible players on December 15th in the December update. Players who didn't get early access had to wait a week before they could buy it.

Nobody had the car in November. Well, except the guy running the demo build in the Ferrari press conference at the World Finals.

And even then, AI in custom races is just pinnacle of absurdity.

-95% Throttle? Check
-Putting soft tyres everytime after rain stops for a bit? Check
-Slowing down for no reason for a player? Check
The last point frustrates me to no end. The AI's pace is completely dependent on the player's and you can't do anything about it. Even if I easily win, I just want authentic races where the AI is going all out at all times without scripted speed adjustments.

it maybe just needs extending to allow you to set your own Custom series similar to the real world - i.e........Chosen tracks/points allocation. Resulting in an ongoing leader board etc / maybe points for fastest laps option - most of whats needed is already there, it would open up many Series options to pursue, whatever your preferences

Tell me if I'm talking nonsense, but wouldn't it be cool to have some quirky Missions focused around emergency vehicles?

There's the obvious Cop & Robbers mode, but you have to drive in a safe manner.

We could have an Ambulance Time Trial with a track filled with AI cars. Cars could even react to sirens and move out of your way.

How about performing a Safety Car lap to start a race, you need to keep the cars bunched up and in order.

Could even have a Mission starting from the pitlane, you get called out and need to pick-up the leader.

I've always thought PD should also expand upon Cone Challenges with Precision Driving Courses like they have in the police. Stick you on the infield and navigate a technical course.

I realise some could find these tedious. But I think they're in the spirit of Mission events and pretty easy to implement.

People have been asking for more missions and more grinding events like tokyo, le mans and sardegna for more than a year without great results. I wouldnt put my hopes too high. Best we will get will probably still be inferior to the those 3.

it seems like a pic released with the article has a yellow box on the world circuits, and it means we'll get a new track. I've seen a tweet on GT SGP profile.

What track is it?

Gilles Villeneuve? That other japanese track? Who guessing right now, maybe pikes peak
Yeah I've also seen this reddit post

But then again, it's not really a trustful source so I doubt it could mean anything. Gilles Villeneuve would still be an awesome addition though.

Agree. Many of GT7 rims lean toward modern sports/racing wheels, and there aren't many suitable wheels for vintage and retro cars.
Also, there aren't many rims with today's trendy designs like rotiform's turbofan, so I feel a little unsatisfactory when I want to make a car that looks good like a show car.

There was a glitch in the previous version showing thumbnails of AI cars with aftermarket rims that didn't appear in the game, but this is more than just a remnant of cut content, I hope it meant they planned to add more rims in the future.

As you all know, last month we got the aston martin valkyrie as dlc. But one thing people might not have noticed is there has been a video of the valkyrie in the aston martin gt7 channel for some time.
There are more examples like this in brand channels of gt7. Would it be reasonable to expect these cars to get the same treatment as the valkyrie and really come to gt7?
Here are some of the cars from brand channels in gt7:
-ford puma rally1
-chevy corvette z06 '23
-jaguar I-type 5
-mclaren artura and 765LT
-radical sr10
-pagani huayra R
-lamborghini countach lpi 800-4
-lexus is500 F sport and lfa
-ktm x-bow gtx and gt2
Lol

Some more photos from the shuffle racing lobbies I've been running with friends.
I actually don't think there's any valid justification for this not being a built-in part of the game anymore, it remains insanely fun and has easily been the most fun I've had in lobbies since the game launched. I genuinely recommend you give it a go if you've people to do so with.

We've run a whole range from 300 odd to 700pp and each has produced incredible racing, a lot of which was extremely close. It feels a lot more balanced than GT5 shuffles seemed.
I genuinely, sincerely hope the feature makes a full return one day. It's such an incredible amount of fun and it's a shame so many miss out on it now.

I've got a Google Sheets version of the Kerfuffle somewhere, built for GT Sport so all the cars will still be in it, if you want to give it a try.

You basically need to enter the players' names and a starter car for each (they're numbered), then put in the total race time at the end of the race. It then decides what everyone's next car should be - and keeps track across eight races (and does all the scoring too).

Takes three or four races to get its eye in, but everyone's pretty clustered after that bar the occasional crash.

People and gamers should really enjoy the games we have now. After seeing what's happened to the movie and music industry I feel like games are next. Once these dudes retire, the ones that started all of this and for some reason are still doing this, we're going to end up with nothing but Fortnite and CoD sequels.

The "dudes that started all of this" are the ones in charge of the studios and publishers pumping out "nothing but Fortnite and CoD sequels."

Interesting.
Some new features for Sport Mode I see as well, plus something to scapes and world events
What can they be? 🤔

Nice find. Could be anything or nothing though.
Fingers crossed the next update is a good one.

EDIT: This was my 911th post. Iconic.

Interesting is that there is no „red dot” near legendary cars nor used ones. It is in brand central tough which can indicate added MC20 but where Corvette C1 should go?
