I've just found a post from an Italian youtuber which he found on the GT Modding Server.
Nenkai shown a radar map implemented in the race menu and I have to say that is fantastic

Yes, every location has an accurate (for real world) or approximate (for fictional) location on this forecast radar. Le Mans actually shows the city and the other roads connected to the circuit, for example. Please keep in mind that this was first found around August 2022. It's been a year and it still isn't in the game. We don't know if or when it will be.

Fascinating to see and infuriating at the same time.

It makes no ****ing sense this isn´t in the game already.

...Or maybe because it just isn't finished in terms of features that goes with it.

It's too easy to jump to conclusions.

Let me quote YOUR OWN TWEET:

“This is the sort of thing I feel should've perhaps been available in the first place”

Aha.

Different context, the tweeet by @Nenkai is his opinion that PD should have had this feature finished and ready to be in the game in the first place.

The reply to yourself, is a commentary of why it might not actually be in the game now.

There's no contradiction there.

This

It is still a debug only feature right now. This is the first time they've visually enhanced it in the scope of perhaps, releasing it at one point.

Semantics. It´s the slightly condescending tone I got hung up on. Where exactly did I jump to conclusions?

I know it means absolutely zero in terms of future content, but my first reaction to seeing that Tokyo map was still "check where it's located in relation to R246".

To save anyone else the eyestrain of checking, the answer is: Extremely close, the map is centred slightly to the right of where R246's final corner would be - the fork you see just southwest of the map centre, the higher road there becomes R246's pit straight.

EDIT: In fact, based on that map, I'd say that if you looked left over the wall when approaching Tokyo South's pit hairpin, you should roughly be looking down onto R246's final corner.

Not semantics at all, they're completedly different statements that are in no way contracting one another. Those are the facts.

As to your conclusion, just a couple of posts ago you quite literally said
It makes no ****ing sense this isn´t in the game already.
That's a conclusion that you posted and the reply simply gave you a reason it may not be in the game already.

Now, I may be wrong, but I think your initial response may have simply been reflecting a similar opinion to the tweet, that it makes no sense a feature like this wasn't in the game already, rather than suggesting it's actually ready to be in the game already. If that is the case, your response obviousely was misread, but instead of calling @Nenkai out, you could have just clarified that.

I hope they release Sophy before any more weather updates didnt get a chance to race against a proper AI. Only care for weather for the endurance races and feel as though a radar is probably helpful if your doing gt World Series comps

Now I'm curious as to exact spot where Blue Moon Bay is based on those weather maps, same for Deep Forest and Trail Mountain.

In that Google pic at Route X, a nice CHP Explorer sits in the parking lot. Next emergency vehicle. ;)

Makes me think about that driver learner city or town Kaz had dreamt about. Would make use of all the flashing lights cars in this game. Seeing how we can't utilise them for a their purpose as is.

Something really cool I noticed about Sardegna.
If you visit the location it's marked at on the weather map in Google Maps, the exact same mountain range shows up.
Gotta love PD and their attention to detail sometimes.

It seems that since GT6 Polyphony begins the process of creating circuits from real altimetry and topography data, either to create real circuits or original creations.
Once the environment they want has been chosen, they take a huge map quadrant with real topography and create the circuit on it and decorate it with the scenery elements. The rest of the quadrant works as background.
It's a process similar in concept to the GT6 Map Editing App.

By the way, if anyone from Polyphony reads this, it's a tool that deserves another chance, if it didn't have the success it was intended to, it was because its launch was very late compared to GT6. A new implementation in GT7 would be very welcome.

Well for Blue Moon Bay, given a few clues like its name, its proximity to an airport, and its dot on the World Circuits map, it's most likely around here.

This is Half Moon Bay airport, just north of the town of Half Moon Bay itself, and south of San Francisco.

The airport is between Moss Beach & El Granada.

I've started to watch the video of the race, how long do I have to watch it for to get the Himedic on the 21st?

Logic dictates clicking it was probably enough, but this is PD, I'm not assuming anything 😂

It should be any amount of time. You can tell it's gone through because the button to watch the stream will say "entry submitted" instead of "entry available".

Thank you. It seems churlish when it's decently entertaining to watch, but I've been on holiday for a fortnight, I want to just get on and play everything I've missed out on.

Who cares about such things while the Game is a boring as hell with useless races in off-line...
Instead to have such a detail in the game they should ad some proper Races!!!

Is your entire account dedicated to bashing this game and its content?
Do you genuinely get joy from this?
Is this a practical use of your time that couldn't be spent doing something far more productive and useful?
