Anyways, has anyone been able to determine if the "weekly specials" in the UCD and LCD are all predetermined yet?

You'd think with a game so "boring" that people would move on to oh I don't know, other games?
Not necessarily (because nuances). I know people who stopped playing GT because they do not find it fun compared to other games. Those who stick to GT despite finding it kinda boring have other reasons to play it. For me it’s because GT is my preferred form of escapism. Having an enjoyable time driving cars keeps me playing, whereas others need more than just that.

Point I was making is those that at this point have nothing better to do other than spew all sorts of negative nonsense, not even remotely criticism or constructive in anyway just straight up nonsensical whining (Bonus points if they include exclamation points, make beyond garbage hot takes or throw "US" in there as if THEY represent you and I, when they don't) and then swear off the game and the series...only to then come back the next month, or whenever the next news comes around, and repeat the process. Maybe its just me but when I've played a game that I clearly am not enjoying after quite some time and feeling like its not getting any better or the series for that matter, I just stop playing period. No discussions, no responses to it or about it, just move on (as I did when I was at peak frustration with NFS Shift 2). Just seems weird to continually do this pointless habit if you cannot find remotely any enjoyment. If you aren't even remotely convinced the game or series will change and you supposedly have no hope it will, why even bother continuing? Why wait to just move on? What's stopping you?

Its not just here or with GT: Lately, I've noticed one person for instance doing the same in the Forza portion as well, dogging any news and everything about Forza with an overwhelmingly negative attitude that contributes absolutely nothing to the conversation while seemingly implying to not be interested because its apparently so bad (And again, godawful hot takes). So frankly, I just find the attitude in general tiresome to come across. Fanboyism, trolling, whatever's going on is just annoying and this is coming from someone who is in no shape at the moment to enjoy either example (Purely due to hardware and cost reasons).

Well, the things I complain most about also happen to be the things I care most about. I try to do it constructively though, which I agree some people aren’t very good at. You only assume people aren’t enjoying the game because their posts give you the impression they don’t. The thing is, people can post whatever they want as long as they aren’t breaking any rules. Don’t like it? Consider blocking them.

You are absolutely correct, people have every right to post their opinions here, as long as they arent breaking the AUP. That said, while people have that right, I do somewhat agree with the sentiments that @RACECAR is saying. If someones only purpose is to be negative, they aren't making good use of their own time.

Though people who only post to provoke a negative reaction aren't benefitting the community either.

Personally, I'm not posting as much about GT7 anymore because 1. I haven't played it for at least 3 monts and 2. Any criticism I do post is just rinse and repeat at this point. My criticisms still exist, they are constructive from my perspective, but they aren't adding anything new to any discussion. I will engage here and there, but it's far more selective and ideally where I can add something new.

I retain an interest in all things Gran Tursimo and what updates are coming to GT7 etc. Maybe I will play it again at some point, but not for now.

I wonder if the GT Movie promotional stuff means that no GT Award would be awarded at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this year.
I'm not sure how the two things are linked at all.

Kazunori Yamauchi is still "there" as a judge, although he is being represented by someone else this year. I don't have any particular reason to believe there won't be a GT Award.

Is your entire account dedicated to bashing this game and its content?
Do you genuinely get joy from this?
Is this a practical use of your time that couldn't be spent doing something far more productive and useful?
I liked/Played the game a lot when it came out but after a while it was getting boring to Race always the same cicuits to get the good payouts...
GT5/6 I played almost everyday because there was much more to ''play''(offline)...
There was B-Spec, Seasonal Events etc...
So i am not here to bash I just wanna have a ''Proper'' GT game like it was in the old days...
It's actually very sad how they didn't use the Potential of the Game to have real GT game!!!

The 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport Figoni Coupé won the Gran Turismo Trophy

Great car that two tone of black and white is a real stunner. One more win for Alfa Romeo at Pebble regarding the GT Award not couting the Carozetto since its « racing » car.
We may be able to race the two side by side one day !!

As for me, im still waiting for really NEW GR3 cars like Porsche, Aston etc.
New events in sport mode.
Otherwise ACC or Iracing is prefferable for me.

Something that probably of minor attention: The GT6-era Pit Stop blog is back online since around last month (it only displayed a critical WordPress error message since late 2022). According to Wayback Machine's captures, this lasted roughly from October 2022 until April 2023 - the first working capture is from June 6, 2023.

I found this out the same day GT's Twitter account posted about the GR GT Cup matching issue (albeit that using the same text as on the GT website).
Just few months later, the Pit Stop blog is dead again with an Account Suspended message.

I want to try all Gr.4 cars on the Gr.4 630 PP race at Brand's Hatch and on the WTC600 race at Spa. Spa seems very tricky as many Gr.4 cars tend to be really slow on the straights/accelerting when nerfed to 600 PP. I did it by lowering the ECU %.

Is there any way to bring down there PP a bit more without having to abandon Race Hard tires?

Thanks!

Buy a power restrictor and ballast to further decrease the power and add weight respectively.

This video uses that song from the Fittipaldi VGT trailer from GT Sport. Anyone find out what it's called? They're killing me with this

If song apps aren't detecting it, it might be another trailer-only song by Daiki Kasho. Wouldn't be the first time for him as well, since he did do the song for the Subaru VGT trailer.

...Or maybe because it just isn't finished in terms of features that goes with it.

It's too easy to jump to conclusions.
Are you aware of other features that are WIP that could have gameplay or QoL implications?

Not expecting you to reveal anything. But I do remember the selling cars feature was in the works for some time. I do wonder if promised features like Endurance races aren’t yet in the game. Because PD are working on additional functionality, ie changing drivers, pit strategy etc.

BTW, It's about this time we'd expect talk to be ramping up about the next update. Obvious reasons why that's not the case this time around. But I wonder if PD are going to switch their update scedule to earlier in the month?

Probably not; the blurb for the Himedic in the last update mentioned it being purchasable in Brand Central "late September" (or similar), which is a strong indication the September update will go back to its usual slot late in the month.

Hey guys, I left GTS in 2021 and just got GT7 at the start of the month, I've started doing sport mode races just now and I'm not sure if I'm blind or anything but I can't seem to find the fastest lap of the race whenever the race ends, doesn't show up anywhere.

Yeah, it only shows the race length and how far you were behind the leader now.

In general, GT7 is missing quite a few common sense QoL things that were in GTS.
