Well, I was really happy with that first look of what is to come in GT7. Again, I was so happy that Kaz brought up the campaign mode. Seeing the used car section and tuning shop really brought a smile to face. I'm certainly not in the crowd of "Well, ermmm I didn't see a single tree move with a gust of wind, Kaz I am dissapoint" there's actually people like that too, amazing

My only little concern us no sign of a release date in sight.

I wouldn't read too much into the red dots for the tracks. I think they are purposely hiding some they don't want us to see. It appears the only ones showing are GT Sport tracks + Trial Mountain and Daytona.

I really hope you are right, because there are way too many locations in the US missing...

My guess is it'll be set up like Gran Turismo 4. Brand Central will have new cars as well as classic cars whereas the Used Car Dealer will feature older more 'everyday' cars of the 2000s, 90s, and 80s.

UCD is for all cArs with mileage and a discount, which you have to fix up to get their original power back....

But every single pedestrian cars should be in the New car dealership regardless of their original year of sale...

No doubt the Porsche 917 will be 20,000,000cr. and the Alfa 8C will be at least 10,000,000cr.
The Ford MKIV will stay 20,000,000cr, the DB3S will stay 10,000,000cr, and the Stingray Racer will stay 5,000,000cr.

Time to start grinding for 65,000,000cr when the game launches!

I hope that we can port over our stats and points and mileage and money from GTS.... That way we should definitely start getting our money...

Damn that credit limit...

There's probably a rule somewhere from the FIA that says you can't overtake someone by launching off the track and going over an opponent, so it makes sense that the chicane has been changed. As long as the monkey is still there, there's no problem.

Well, if they decide to add Smokey Mountain from GT3, they're going to have to do some serious terraforming on that hill :)

A couple things I noticed watching at better resolution and framerate.

On the long straight the car in front is slightly to the right. This causes less air to hit the right front tyre so it cools down slower compared to the front left tyre.

There are now more Traction Control and ABS settings. The mazda dials and dash indicate the car is on 6/8 TC and 2/8 ABS settings.

I don't have a 4k display but I suppose the tyre pressure readings are on the dash. Hopefully we can tune them as well.

Edit: also if someone can see what the 85c and 110c readouts are for?

Cars now have higher reflection resolutions. The paint and mirrors reflects the vehicles themselves now.
Yeah but apart that, it resembles so much GTS, the vegetation for example it looks basically the same and static one, also the car sounds are the same listening to the Mazda Vision GT,nothing special honestly. The good thing is that the old formula is back, but tecnichally it doesn't seem impressive like a GT should be

revamped GTS ps5 version and nothing more when it comes to visuals...
If I'm honest, I really rather if that's all GT7 is for visuals. Just refining GT Sport's graphics by improving other areas on the visuals like the backgrounds of tracks and fixing any rendering glitches found on GTS.

Another graphical leap at this stage would flat out annoy me, that would mean they would have to start all over again with modelling cars and race tracks. Even with the outsourcing they're doing now, I rather not have that.

Think about how GT Sport initially looked and compare it to what it was at release

Give it time, the games still in development

To be fair, they're using the same graphics engine as GTSport. And the art style is pretty much the same. I was disappointed at first too. But at least they showed the game in a much better state compared to GTSport. The 2016 reveal event was atrocious.

Looks like cars may have a life cycle again. Buy it, beat it and sell it. Maybe the cars we sell could stock the used car dealer. That way used cars would be random.

I was noticing that there wasn't really any difference between what you see out of the windshield and the rear view camera. Which is a major step forward in racing games. It'll be nice to be able to look at that and not have to guess about what car is behind you or be mesmerized by the horrible draw distance.

Yeah, you know, I forget sometimes that GTPlanet is as much a "Gran Turismo fan site" as Trump is a good president. Really, I should have expected the "Wow, I know we weren't given a release date which means the game is in development and who knows when we'll see 'cause it's a GT game, but it really looks, sounds and obviously plays like complete garage. 0/10."

I’m curious how the used dealership will work.

I hope GT7 has some sort of more in depth garage management built in. It’d be really cool if you could by an old banged up car for cheap and restore it, or pick up a car with some parts, unique paint schemes, and miles already on it, and manage the maintenance and wear on your own. The only other time I remember a game doing something like that was NFS Porsche Unleashed from 20 years ago:

I’d kill for a new game that could give this much garage depth, especially with an expansive list of road cars.

I’m sure we’ll learn more about the new and re-introduced features in the coming months.
