There's actually a way to tell. The LM Spec II didn't have front canards while the Test Car does.
I mean, it could be a customization option shown, but I doubt that. In gameplay, we've only seen factory stock cars in action so far, I didn't see anything like modified Supras or Skylines yet except for the menu screens.
It's hard to say at the moment.

But if the white one is a completely separate car from the Test Car it be another case of twins like the M6 GT3s.

In the “Racer” trailer Kaz talking about putting together a large crew to build a car. I wonder if this a hint to the actual gameplay feature? Maybe we will be able to hire car mechanics or something like that…

Nah, they're equally as bad as each other. Neither is trumping each other with the toxic community's they have. Pretending its one sided is only adding to that toxicity.
I think it's more a side effect of PS having more people, so the fanboys get "diluted". Also in my country it reached extreme levels with Xbox, so I do speak from a biased perspective. But PlayStation does have its "bad apples" as well.

I know right? PD seems to be the only game developer studio that doesn’t even want to sell its game. Why do we have to analyse every pixel of a trailer to discover what’s new?…
Speaking of which, when I got into Gran Turismo Sport, which was recently, it was amusing to catch a glimpse of PD's game design. I was not expecting to find timed checkpoints in a sim racer from 2017 for example.

On the other hand, PD is one of the studios that fit the most into Sony's ethos of "quality at all costs", so they're in a prime position to hype anything they do.

This kinda concerns me - Interiors in cars still seem to have that lowpoly 'play-dough' effect from GT Sport. The elimination of stuff like this from the 3rd person cam was what I was looking forward to most when it came to visuals on my PS5, hopefully this is only something that appears in replays.

maybe that's just a bag of replacement parts, considering its a Pontiac haha

Will there be any more "Behind the scene" trailer today?

Halloween weekend and (V8)Supercars are on. We’ll get our first shot of the Tickford XR8, making its return. The Racers clip will talk about Beginners to Professionals. Grassroots to FIA sanctioned events. Starting with a road car and mentioning the complexity of purpose built race cars. ;) All of that has nothing to do with anything.:sly:

Loving the constant stuff coming out! Might be short, but it's great seeing the promotion of the game picking up.

I don't know if I'm imagining, but do the cars look a little more "grounded"? As in, the tires seem more connected to the surface? Pay attention to how the cars move during turn-in:

Interesting shot regardless, with a Group C beast, Castrol Supra, the Ford GT and the Nismo.

Keep the footage coming PD! :D

Maybe the Michelin collaboration wasn't only marketing. Even by looking at the onboards everything looks more natural now

Yeah hopefully!

I also noticed in the original announcment trailer, when they showed the onboard gameplay on Trial Mountain, that if you look at the tire status the tire temps seem more dynamic then in GT Sport. In Sport you never see the cold tire indicator unless remaining stationary for a little while. Here you can see them warming up through the corners, under breaking etc.

See timestamped YT link her:

I think that (even though text at the bottom mentions only PS5) new scenes in these new "Behind the scenes" trailers are from the PS4 version. They completely lack RT reflections and shaders / lighting and look different to the earlier footage and just like in the GT Sport. It's also like that in e.g. scene with Dodge Challenger from earlier video.

iirc there's no Ray Tracing in races, only in Scapes and the Garage (Livery Editor also I think)

Thing was choked down to like 320hp and was made to do standing starts. It didn't like any of it.
Guess they really dumbed it down to such an extent. I bet in these so-called "multi-class" events in the Campaign Mode, they would force players to dumb down their cars to an almost bizarre extent (for example, in a race car-only event with 600PP, if you use a Gr. 1 car, you would have to turn down the power to almost half of the original value).

Okay, this is weird.

I've been watching this video several times and then a funny hypothesis came to my mind. It's definitely not just another video with alternate scenes. There are 2 main things on this video that made me find it really weird:

1 - Audio and video are NOT synchronized, we can see the video is basically brand-new while the audio is the same from the actual/original "Collector" video. Use Yamauchi's lip movements as he speaks for reference and you'll notice it.

2 - This episode is about car collection, right? So what does an SF19 being edited on the livery editor have to do with it? This particular scene takes a serious amount of time of the video, it's not a quick glimpse. The original video shows footage that are much more convincing within the actual theme.

So, there goes my theory. I think they unintentionally leaked the video (without its real audio) from one of the next episodes, and it would probably be called "Livery Designing" or something else. Because nothing is connected on this, from the audio-video desync to the totally meaningless SF19 being edited while Kaz says GT7 will have more than 400 cars.

They just happen to coincidentally have the same time (1:10), so they start & end continuously.
Sounds like you're right considering PlayStation Germany has pulled the bugged video from their social media.

(If anyone asks, I already downloaded the Twitter version of that video.)

But these are replay scenes in these trailers. From what we know and have seen now RT will be present in replays, garage and some other "not race" fragments of the game. Unfortunately as of today every footage from livery editor or scapes, shows that there is no RT there, which I hope will be fixed before release.

was Volvo bought by geely as well? because otherwise im not sure why Volvo wasn't in gt sport. another European brand I want in gt is Skoda but that is highly unlikely
Yeah... Volvo was bought (100%) by Geely in 2010. New Polestars (hybrid & electric models) are even "Made in China". While they're fully owned by Geely, they only own 51% of Lotus since 2017. That being said, the Tesla Roadster was a converted Lotus and was built at the Lotus plant in England. And this model is also not in GT Sport (but still in GT6).

GT Sport was released the same year (2017) as Geely bought 51% in stakes of Lotus. They're definitely the reason why Lotus was included in the GTS Beta and isn't anymore now. Also i want that Roadster back.

Now lets hope that Geely won't take over 50% of Daimler anytime soon. Geely is their largest investor and chinese hold around 15% of it. Otherwise we can say bye-bye to Mercedes in GT8 too.

They definitely aren't. I've literally spoken to Geely, and Volvo, and Polestar, and Lotus, and Geely is not the reason no matter how many times people say it. I mean, I worked for Geely, writing internal brand newsletter pieces and speaking to all the PRs across the brands, so...

Lotus is simply a case of the brand feeling their agreement was not commensurate with the valuation of other brands' agreements. UK car manufacturers speak to each other pretty regularly (and have organisations for doing so), and Lotus pretty much discovered that they were getting less than an equivalent brand (not named, but I expect it to be McLaren). I suspect they were getting less money due to the contract paying out diminishing returns and the year delay on GT Sport resulting in a lower payment, but I've never had that confirmed.

Basically it's not Geely, it's money. Oh, for Polestar, they didn't want to be in games, and then Ghost Games (of the same Sweden as Polestar) approached them and asked them to be the cover car, rather than just being one brand among many.

Even if it did, I don't see how it would be any good for you as a fan. They're never going to include full focus on NASCAR or any individual series. You'd get the cars and a couple of tracks and that'd be about it.
I think the best thing with NASCAR is the livery possibilities, same with why so many of us want the F1 to be used, one car from every series for livery editing is a gold mine, would love to see it.
I wish they bought their formula GT into this game whether it represents a modern or early 2000's F1 car vaugley would be nice to put liveries on and being their own car no restrictions

Its' more so that its just extremely evident that both sides are dishing out equal levels of stupidity and that it's definitely not isolated to one side, nor is any side any better in that regard.

Now that we know that the 2J Chaparral is returning, kinda bums me out the 917/30 wasn't chosen for the GT Pebble Beach award among the nominees.
I'm hoping Kazunori decided not to chose it because its coming to the game anyway lol.

How I would have loved if he had picked the 1973 Porsche but I will like forward to the Ferrari, Le Mans movie racing recreation coming up when the car appears! :)
True, but its also a vintage Ferrari Le Mans car, so it will likely be around 15-20 million credits. Beautiful car, but only a small percentage of players will ever get to the point of being able to unlock it. I also believe most players will choose the P4 over the 512s if given the option between two vintage Ferrari Race cars. The 512S is a curious choice for sure, but Kazunori picking the cars by hand is what makes the Pebble Beach cars special I suppose.

I've heard similar stuff from elsewhere, pretty bizarre that they think they're bring the same value as [redacted] when there's a lot of boxes they're leaving unchecked so to speak.
