Hopefully get some news soon, should not be too long now. Maybe within the next week or so until Sony show off their new fancy UI and cooling solution.

Got European football finals coming up and Sony posted this ad which has gone private straight away...

Edit: First PS5 Global Ad

I wonder what the back of the PS5 looks like. It would be great if you could link up two PS5s for better VR support and higher resolutions and multiple display support.

I think Sony itself have no idea what they're doing in terms of marketing.

Honestly, I think they’re still waiting on what MS are doing with the Series X price. We most likely would’ve had much more information on both consoles if corona didn’t happen and both companies decided to go to E3

I think the most effective use of the adaptive trigger [in Gran Turismo 7] is for representing the operation of the antilock brake system (ABS) while braking. A typical ABS releases brake pressure intermittently while the driver applies pressure to the pedal. The adaptive trigger is suited for recreating this pedal feel, and it will allow the player to accurately feel and understand the relationship between the braking force they want and the tire’s grip.

Compared to the rumble force feedback we had in the past, the special character of the haptic feedback is that it has a bigger range of frequencies it can produce.

What this means, is that sound design and tactile design can be handled in a continuous, integrated manner. — Kazunori Yamauchi // President, Polyphony Digital

We’ll have more to share in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled.

Sony knows exactly what they're doing [marketing wise], and the ball is entirely in MS' court. MS is at the disadvantage on console so if they come at a lower price point than the PS5, they have an edge. If they release the price early, and Sony matches, they're doomed lol. This is great news for consumers if this is the stand off we're experiencing.

While I don't care about the controller hype too much, I think the next round of info will probably focus on it.

Another thing that leads me to believe that GT7 will launch with PS5 (or slightly after) is that iirc a GT game has never been announced before its respective platform. Or am I wrong?

GT7 for launch still possible, of course. I hope ! But I think it will be release in 2021, first half.

Yes. They showed off GT2000 at E3 2000, before PS2 released. Vision Gran Turismo was shown off at E3 2005, a year before PS3 was even shown off.

Ok those didn't end up being the final game titles, but they were still shown off before the console came out, and in the case of GT2000/GT3, it WAS supposed to be a launch title.

As Covid cases seem to be increasing in Japan, I've been starting to doubt that GT7 will be out this year. But it'd be a welcome surprise for sure if PD can pull it off launching with the PS5 or after it in December.

It'll be interesting to feel the feedback while braking on bumpy surfaces. Maybe even trying to brake at off-camber corners. Somewhere like Lago Centre II.

T1 and the left after passing under the Liquid Moly bridge. The nose should become light, while trying to brake for both turns.

Also, Nurburgring. Any configuration. Wonder if PD will program in brake fade for road cars.

May I remind you that the only fully-fledged, numbered GT title released in other than Q4 was GT3? November/early December is just the best time to launch consoles and games.

Sony is the leader. No need for them to speak first. The PS5 logo is everywhere during champions league games but still no price, launch games...

Don't expect anything and no disappointment. I used to look for GT news everywhere, now I just wait.
As you, yourself, say. PS5 marketing is already well underway with the Champions League advertising and the new TV ad.

Sony will have known their strategy for at least 6 months. Alongside their console launch window and launch titles. For titles, they still need to be wary about not just hitting dates, but also spacing said titles to maximise sales & impact.

One thing seems clear to me. The titles we’ve seen so far all look to target, if not PS5 launch window, then within 12 months of launch.

Just yesterday a Sony exec stated (they believed) their launch window software line-up was the strongest for any PlayStation console.

Everyone knows the Price(499$) and Release Time(mid.Nov.) BUT NOBODY want's reveal it !...Stupid.

There are two PS5 sku’s. Could be upto $100 price difference between the two.

Not anymore ;) Games that come out in spring or even summer can sell very well. Also, racing seasons usually start at that time. I think GT7 can be released outside of holidays.

And GT3 is the best-selling episode :D

You can't underestimate Christmas 'though.

GT3 was a paradigm shift graphically and therefore not a fair benchmark IMHO.

Those are "guesstimations", and inferences, not facts.

Judging by your angsty reaction, I'd say the marketing teams' call to delay announcements is working as planned. They have people constantly refreshing google searches for any news on the upcoming consoles.

I don't understimate christmas.

I'm just saying that games can sell very well outside of this period ;)

Otherwise, Gran Turismo Twitter continues to maintain interest around GT7 :

With each new GT title being about to release, I always feel like PD try to feed the fans with as little information as they can  like, they’re feeding us with a freaking GIF made out of a 2 month old- and the only trailer released  challenging us how much can we take...

Guess it’s a part of the human drama experience. Hell, always has been

That's how desperate people are for new information, and Sony knows it. So they just make people wait longer:lol:

If the PS5 comes out in 2020 I’ll be happy. I don’t plan to see GT7 in 2020, but I’ll happily play ACC in (hopefully) 60FPS thanks to the much more powerful PS5. There’s so many games out there that I’m not even sweating GT7 coming out at launch. Hopefully it’s not 2022, but at this point no one knows.

I feel like Neon Lighting under the Cars will not be added into Gran Turismo 7. A bit of a shame. Oh well, still looking forward to the (hopefully) 1350 Cars that will be in the game.
