Luke Reilly in the IGN video mentioned that they have yet to experience the game and that it will change in a month. I wonder if it's NDA or if there really won't be any copies sent to media outlets before the release. Do any of you remember how it was for previous titles? Having someone play the game would be the only way of knowing if wheel FFB improved in any way, instead of hearing the same PR bullcrap about DualSense again and again.

Also - 3D Audio is essentially Surround audio, right? I can't believe that it's sold as a big feature in 2022, but I guess that's on Sony...

Not to sound too negative - the GT Cafe looks like FM4 Autovista on steroids and is an awesome feature. The (supposed) switch to PP-related online racing also is incredible, of course there will be meta cars but it still should provide a lot of variety on tracks. In general, I am decently excited, though after experiencing AC/ACC FFB on PC, I really, really would like to see some improvement in GT7.

Great to see that heavy smoke is back

I'm a bit slow:

Can anyone explain to me how I'd be able to experience the equivalent of Arcade Mode, my favourite "feature" (along with online) of previous versions of GT?

Arcade Mode has seen me over in GT6 since they shut the servers down, such is my love for it...

I believe it's available once you go to a certain track, see 'Arcade Race' and 'Custom Race' above.

I can't really express what the GT series and mostly especially GT4 has teached me.

Kaz is always talking about trying to create a new generation of fans or at least inspiring anyone to learn about the history of the automotive industry and racing, right?

Well, I was one of those people, back at 2004/05 with Gran Turismo 4. Still just a kid, looking at cars in the street thinking "hey, that's a car from GT4! It's a Renault! It's from France!".
It may seem silly, but really, Gran Turismo was my only way of discovering and understanding this whole automotive world. I was playing AND reading GT. My father also has a very important role in all of this because he was always playing GT with me and everytime I had a question like "where this brand is from?" he explained to me.

Now today I kinda understand Kaz. It's funny to look back and see that some people today might go through the exact same experience I had 20 years ago.
Yeah agreed - anyone who thinks "ah GT Cafe, what a waste of time" etc, just remember that its not designed for you (or many of us!) - it's for the player new to the world of GT, someone who is learning about the wide variety of cars across the world for the first time!

Here is one thing that nobody is talking about.
I haven't seen a championship or a league. Essentially you go to a race track (world circuits) and you pick an event. Jordan mentioned in his article and video that there will be around 100 race events....
This reminds me of forza 4 career mode. At least forza 4 they had championships.

Uhmm, the bottom part says Championship?

I'm very happy with everything I saw last night but in all honesty I was expecting these 5 cars to be somewhere in there...
Toyota GT One
Nissan R390 GT1 (race version)
Porsche 911 GT1 (race version)
Bentley Speed 8 and
newer Audi R8 street version...

So essentially now one is forced to use HD all the time to: check fuel consumption in gr cars with no fuel gauge and also to check weather??

There should be an option in online lobbies to turn off the weather map and put everyone in the same conditions.

3D audio is virtual surround sound. Nothing new generally speaking, but the difference is that this is integrated to the PS5 directly. Most PS5 games support it, but if you don't use headphones it doesn't matter.

It's worked with speakers and not just headphones for a while now

It's more then likely gonna be something you can toggle through as the other items were on GT Sport. You could do it both on pad and wheel.
