Guys, only...

1-Month-Car-Lease.jpg

month to go...

I haven't seen recent 20 pages here, but anyone noticed that the Swift and Impreza has European plates and the Scirocco has US (?) plate in those images?

I don't think that the bumper shape itself wouldn't be changed so far, but looks like the cars can equipped with different region plates, at least if the default bumper shape allows.

If that's the the case, then making replicas of certain cars such as below should be a lot easier.

Perhaps I'm missing something but surely that just depends on what real world car they scanned?

If I count them roughly, there are 105 duplicates. I only counted the variations on one certain car. I see the AMG GT-S and GT-R as duplicate, since they are basically the same car. Same for the Gr.3, Gr.4, Rally and Safety car variations of one model. I do not count the Nissan R33 and R34 as duplicate since they are not the same model.
I mean, these are at least distinct variations or evolutions of the same car. Unlike in GT6 where amongst its 1000+ cars, as an example, the 1989 Mazda MX-5 would appear 3 times, as the MX-5, the MX-5 Miata and the Eunos Roadster. This was then repeated 10 more times for different generations or evolution of the MX-5, and they were identical in every way apart from the names that are pulled from different commercial markets. I think similar duplication happened for the RX-7 (with éfini-badged variations), the Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT, the Lexus IS200/Toyota Altezza, the Honda S2000 (EU and US variations), Daihatsu Storia/Sirion, and multiple Infiniti/Nissan and Honda/Acura models. These are true duplicates, in my opinion, whereas at least with the AMG GT-S and GT-R they have different performance figures.

Watched this on my lunchbreak and there's some footage I haven't seen before, it's nothing totally new but it extends the Alpine at Goodwood footage, there's also some GT3 cars running at Le Mans, also some LMP1 cars running on a wet Le Mans, one of the TS050s spins out and rejoins straight away rather than waiting for the train of cars to go past.

There's also more footage of Daytona including a night time bit.

If this has already been posted, apologies, I tried to search for it but couldn't find it.

I can’t believe PD can’t do better with PS5 than what they’ve shown. I mean look at GT5 on PS3, more than a decade ago… it’s obviously a richer and more realistic rain effect technique. Sure, lacks the visual quality, but even if PD just used that and increased the resolution of the effect it would be much better.
To make this game work on both platforms, I think GT7 is using the GT Sport engine (PS4), when on the PS5 it will take advantage of performance where it can, FPS, RT , but because it's based on the PS4 ability's your not going to get the best that the PS5 can do.

A new interview further talked about Kaz adding entry level cars in GT:
――Is "GT7" recorded with many general cars?
Yamauchi: We have prepared a wide range of cars, but I don't think they are enough. For example, I think it is necessary to increase the number of entry-level cars. In addition, full-scale tuning is possible with "GT7". In the video that everyone in the media watched, the Volkswagen Beetle is as fast as the Porsche 911, but since it is possible, I think that it will be possible to race with a fairly wide range of cars. This time, we have recorded an element called performance points that reflects the results of the simulation, but it is no exaggeration to say that the mechanism is included to race all at once with a wide range of cars. Some cars are fast from the beginning, while others are tuned faster. They can be used as guidelines for racing.

I don't understand what is going on with the weather system in this game. I noticed that some of the footage uses cloud simulation but some footage features a regular skybox like on this video with the red cobra. If they have a robust cloud simulation in place why not use it all the time? Plus, they already showed the footage of cloud simulation used on willow springs.

What makes you say this is not being simulated?

According to N-BLOOD, the newsletter of Club Nismo, the latest Nissan Z (Version ST, US model) is coming to GT7. (Available at launch)

Edit: I haven't directly seen the news itself, but only seen the other guy's info.
This actually makes sense, the car's name is literally only "Z", so it might be on the last row that we didn't see in the 400 CARS photo
