So, GT 7 is now at 14 million copies sold as per the making of Sophy video. Where does that put it compared to other GT titles?
Sport - but also it's not quite that simple, because the metric has changed.

It's no longer sales, but player numbers (and also that's outdated - it's 15m+ now), and you can't assume a 1:1 ratio of copies sold to people playing it - because it includes people who bought it second-hand, or have multiple accounts.

Let's say... 60% of people who bought it new played it, averaging two accounts each, while 40% never played it, and 20% of each sold it on to players with the same split (60% played, averaging two accounts each; 40% did not; 20% of each sold it on), a 15m-player playerbase would equate to 11 million copies sold.

Though that's just an example.

I'm curious to know if GTS was more profitable(and sold more copies) than GT6

Yeah, part of me is a bit worried about the sophy AI if it does end up in GT7 because I don't think I'll be able to catch it. Gotta hope for a difficulty slider like in AC.
I forgot where I heard about that, but I think that's been already confirmed.

Crazy stuff regarding the AI development. Really looking forward to what they do with it after it's fully polished. I wonder if they will be simply scalable to match players or if there will be separate individual AI that are developed to different levels.

Just a few random things I've thought of today while reading through the forum:

- Since there's a chance for future content updates, I wonder if we'll see expanded parts options as far as aero modifications and cosmetics is concerned. It would be nice to have multiple options for body panels so cars don't end up looking too similar. I know it's Polyphony we're talking about so I shouldn't hold my breath.

- I hope we have more options for wheels with centerlocks, or even be able to change lug patterns on any wheel. I will never put a 4 or 5 lug wheel set on a GT3, Super GT, or Le Mans/WEC car.

- I hope there are a few surprise cars that can't be seen in any dealership. I miss secret cars like in the first three games. It could be why we haven't seen a certain Toyota yet.:D

So I guess there's more legitimate reasons to not put B-Spec yet. As B-Spec would involve AI too. And previously the B-Spec AI would be as bad too as opponent AI (though it may give a challenge in races like GT4's Formula GT with B-Spec).
The player's going to have to start 30 seconds in front of the Sophy AI if there's no option to tweak it
1 lap magic but reversed position.

I guess someone else noticed that the roll bar on the 356 A Speedster is now gone.
Maybe it needs to be installed in GT Auto?

I'm so glad they removed the roll bar on the Porsche. I hope this applies to all street cars with a roll cage in GT sport and new ones for GT 7

I'm not sure it was removed. It's very likely a custom mod in the game as we have seen the roll hoops on the MX5 in menu. So it was probably added to the 356 in tuning.

The 356 comes with the roll bar as standard. It’s the equivalent of the RS model Porsches that have roll cages as standard. Could be a removable item option, as in the removing of rear wings/spoilers.

Either way, it's a custom mod feature, removal, addition. Whatever it is.

The 356 itself doesn't come with a roll hoop anyway, the specific model GT must use in the case of this is the 1500 GT Carrera. So to anyone who doesn't know that it's just a 356 and a roll hoop typically wouldn't have been standard.

Oh gosh. Were not talking about the normal 356s. It’s this competition model that we’re talking about. Goodness.

It’s not about one upping anyone. It’s about answering why the roll hoop is not shown.

Would be better than the original since you don't have to wait 90 seconds every time you try to beat it... 🙄

Does anyone know if those Nissan Z leaks from a few days ago were real?
Seems pretty legit to me. The scapes shot looks bang on here, it appears to be from a reputable publication, and well, it isn't the weirdest car to be added to GT7 is it? Just probably don't expect it from launch.

Yes well aware. Hence why I specifically mentioned that precise car in my post. I was merely pointing out that your post simply said the 356 came standard with a roll hoop which as a statement isn't wholly true without clarification. If someone didn't know what specific model GT7 has in the game then it could cause confusion.

We know why the roll hoop isn't shown, given that it appears the 356 being represented is the GS/GT then there must be a custom option in tuning to remove them that my post alluded to.

I would think so, but we must remember this is PD we are talking about. Not everything they do makes sense. I guess we'll find out in a month whether it can be removed on the Cobra too.
