I haven't come across the Murcielago yet in game, just stumbled on this on youtube . . .

. . . my god they actually nailed it!

You can actually hear an audible click of the paddles in both the upshifts and downshifts. Thats actually amazing.

Why the SQUAD song keep playing every time I grind the American Sunday Cup at Daytona? Literally that's the only song that plays and it always plays. Are songs scripted for events now, or is it because I disabled half the race soundtrack? :ouch:

I’m kinda surprised from all the negative talk about the GT7 AI why these pepper 🌶 races have not been discussed more… The ai races you super competitive.. it actually feels like a real race… there is tire wear fuel depletion and yea the chase the rabbit sequence sucks but once you going it’s good racing.. Another cool features is the time lapse during the whole event… even if you retry the race or leave the race the time on the track keeps going.. I did the event so many times it got dark.. the event felt alive and not so much scripted… I also tried to get slick and buy better tires but had to tune the power down a lil bit… still took 5th
Is it possible to make a high pepper custom race with a similar fun level? I haven't checked it out yet.

I just take screenshots and transfer them onto a USB.
This still saves them as a .jpg that ruins the quality a bunch. Massively annoying.

For example, on my TV this is as crisp as can be, and every single badge has visible depth to it. On the exported screen shot the Aqua and Hybrid badges look like flat, blurry decals.

Not being able to make a lot of credits is understandably disappointing for some but I actually like it.

I owned GT sport from the day it was released, what was that 4 years ago almost? For all that time I primarily played PC2. Despite that, I had millions of credits built up and unused because they're only a handful of cars I really wanted to buy and even fewer cars that I used regularly.

Right now, I love the idea that I have to be really prudent with my use of credits. The game is only 2 days old and I'm already staring at the tuning menu agonizing over whether I want to spend that 600 credits on a muffler or not. I dig that

Having a blast. Just finished the WTC 600 championship using my E30 there. Driving the thing hard. Having the GT DD definitely lets me push harder and catch more mistakes. Really feels like I'm on the ragged edge.

Also, I appreciate that the championships only keep track of your final position for the series. Gone are the days of feeling bad because I got 9 out of 10 golds on a championship but that one BS race I didn't get it. I took 1st, 4th, and 2nd in the WTC 600 to get the championship win and it felt great. I just could not catch up to the faster cars pushing this little thing as hard as I could.

It's the best way to do it unfortunately.

Edit: I believe there is a way to save screenshots as PNG's.

This is how you win the Daytona truck race with under 420pp. 🤣 I just missed out in this video but the method still works.

Doing this event as we speak and it is NOT fun. 😂 The AI is straight up pulling pit maneuvers on me.

I remember being a little kid making rudimentary spread sheets on graph paper; complete with my own rating system, as I weighed the pros and cons of picking my next car, my next mod, and mapping out the cost analysis of modding a current car vs buying a better new one. In fact, I already made a mistake on which mustang I bought today! Shouldn’t have bought the Shelby

Fantastic race. Very disciplined and smart racing from you. Loved to see the AI overtake you at the end.

There isn't really a "100%". Or a "GT Mode".

All you need to complete the Cafe and get the Gold "Finale" trophy is to finish Menu Book 39 - and you only need your A-Licence for that. You'd need all the licences for the other Gold Trophy, "Hard Work Pays Off". You only need 15 Circuit Experiences for the highest Trophy available there, and after that it's just a case of driving 8,197 miles while online and taking a couple of photos and buying a couple of cars to hit the Platinum.

Anything else you do on top of that is just extra.
And to that National A point… surely these 39 menu books can’t be all we’re getting, right?

It hardly feels like half of what one would imagine a GT game should have, and no cars more advanced than Gr.3 featured in the championships.

If there’s not more coming, the licences serve no purpose beyond bragging rights and credits. And that would be very sad.

Wait, really? No GT500, Group 1 or open wheel stuff at all?

Do you have those sort of cars in your garage? Maybe they don't appear unless you do,?

Why.. Whats wrong with the Shelby? :mischievous:
Nothing at all.

However, it wasn’t worth the 50K premium (or whatever it was) over the other 2016 mustang

I could have mod’d the standard 2016 mustang to suit my needs for 20K

I don’t have anything in Gr.1 and Gr.2, but that wouldn’t have any bearing on the menu books. Perhaps the other world circuit events.

But in general, the Cafe stuff seems to be the structured career of the game. I pretty much refuse to believe that we aren’t getting more - again, as of now there’s no need for any licence beyond National A, and that seems beyond illogical.

I love this game, but right now it feels like half of it is missing.

EDIT: Sorry, this was a reply to @Samus

Additional menus, missions, track experiences and whatnot should surely be added commensurately with new tracks and cars' arrival in future updates.

Not unreasonable to expect this IMHO.

As things stand, there's already a heap more content to get through than GT6 had, the latter taking me only a couple o' days to complete 100%.

If you go to the main screen, you will see news on future updates. These include more World Circuit events, Mission races, etc.

Is there no way to go into your PS5 settings and change the format to PNGs?

I wish I knew that earlier. It would've saved me some time. I'm definitely doing that now.

Though, I did find another way to keep the quality. You go to showcase and share the pictures you've taken, just put something in the description first. Then, go onto your gallery page (or whatever it's called) on the Gran Turismo website under GT7, then you look at your shared pictures. Now, you can straight up save your pictures as PNGs from there sadly as they'll be in webp format, but there's converters online that I have been using to convert the webp pictures to png. I've done this with most of my pictures so far. The only problem is that sharing pictures on GT7 is rather tedious, especially when I have to type something with my controller.

Took me 2 hours to gold S-10…. Ahhh yess the good ol days!!
I had to walk away after one hour. Even when you get the first half of the lap without spinning, going off track, or otherwise bottling the attempt, you still have to be mistake free for the second half of the lap. :irked:

I bought it because I was hoping that the flat plane crank engine in the real GT350/R would have been better than the boring noise I remember from the 2016 Mustang GT in GT Sport. Alas, I was wrong. It doesn't sound lusty even with a racing muffler on it. The ZL1 1LE with a racing muffler however....

And with that Camaro, I have my first funny video. An American muscle race at Daytona. No PP limits just invites the sledgehammers to come in & win easy...if they don't crash it away.

:guilty: But it sounds just like it does in real life. It sounds amazing.

The car in the game doesn't sound like the real car, IMO. Either that or my memory is fading fast. Every YT video I've seen about the GT350 has put emphasis on the exhaust note. And it sounds awesome. I don't get that same feeling from the game.
