I absolutely LOVE just heading into a race and getting all loaded and ready to go in like 5 seconds. I saw the PS4 loading takes upwards of a minute???

Geez, with all the menus this game has lord have mercy on them :ouch:
Yeah it takes a LOT of time! Even on the menus!!

That caught me by surprise in the first test with rally.
We need to talk about the rally mission with the S1 Quattro . . .

1) - Why the hell is there a Toyota Tacoma?!!
2) - Why does said Tacoma feel the need to move across and block into the first sharp corner?
3) - Why does the Tacoma then feel the need to either push us out with in the next corner to PIT manoeuvre us on the apex?!!

The entire mission is what I was griping about. The A110 WILL T-bone you if you get ahead of it leading up to that hairpin.

Shamelessly so, at that.

Is there an upgrade to change a car's fitment or does that have to be done manually through the tuning menu?

Fitted a widebody onto my '07 Swift and it just looks a bit stupid with the wheels tucked in so much. Haven't unlocked the "Racing" and "Extreme" menus for the Tuning Shop just yet...

Just got out of that mission.

The cars are basically on-rails and will not concede the position and just hit you if you're in their programmed line. Failed so many times because the Tacoma or the Alpine rammed ME!

In the end, good old full send got me through it.

I have a question before I make a decision to buy the game. When you are offline, can you use the cars that you've owned from your garage? I can't remember if GT Sport allowed you to do that.
Offline? You mean like when the servers aren't working? If that's what you mean then no you can't. You must be connected to the internet to use your personal cars.

wheels.

set the style to wide in that menu.

They are backed directly by Sony. They charge $70 for the game. They can already afford it.
Umm.. That's not how a healthy business operates. There are budgets and ROIs. I'll bet GT costs a huge amount of money to develop and a very large portion of that is licensing the hundreds of cars, tracks, music etc.

If a business is owned by another larger business, that doesn't mean they have infinite funds just fyi..

And because game prices haven't changed in a couple decades, yet there is inflation, means that games realistically should cost even more than $70.. But that's why they offer micro-transactions to help offset that cost..

Do people not use their brains anymore? Nothing is free. There is a cost to everything.

I think Jimmy Broadbent and Super GT's times were around the 2:16-2:18 mark, Dan Suzuki who usually does iRacing did a 2:20 on his first Gold run.
This is just false. I don't think super gt has even done that license test. 2.16 would be ridiculous if not downright impossible too. A high 2.18 is probably the absolute limit you can get. No way Jimmy got that either. Dan Suzuki got a 2.24, not 2.20. A good lap would be below 2.22

Um, yes he did. They were part of his review.

How do you find out the weather conditions for a race? never know what tyres too use if the skys a bit cloudy, starts dry then rains , expected some kinda info on race screen.
Every time in did the Schwarzwald race at the Nurburgring 24hr the weather was different....to the point i felt the game was mocking me. I'd start on dry tyres, nice and sunny then as soon as i got onto the Nordschleife it would start raining, so i'd quit the race, change tyres to wet ones, and low and behold it didn't start raining until i was on the back straight.

It seems that only certain cars can have anti-lag? I've equipped a fully customisable ECU like Rupert said to do in order to use the anti-lag system, but it's still showing up as "N/A" for my '07 Swift.

(obviously I have a turbo equipped too, lol)

EDIT: Seems that only cars with a turbocharger equipped from the factory can have the anti-lag system fitted. That's quite disappointing...

Is it possible to fit a carbon hood, or do I have to decal it like in GTS?
You cannot. There is a carbon fiber "paint" that you can buy, but you can only spray the whole car with it. So if you just want a carbon hood, you need to paint the whole car with the carbon paint ship, then apply colored stickers to the rest of the body in the livery editor. Like so:

I don't understand why they did this. but whatever

I've probably got less than 10 hrs down (job, PS5 is in the main family room, etc), and even I've been "offered" the chance to buy a Veyron. So far, the cynical push to microtransactions is my only real bugbear. Well, that and the fact that all my Collection decals have disappeared. I presume because they will only reappear when the people who created the decals in GTS reupload them in GT7. I've just had to do that with all mine that weren't shared on GTS.

Bit of a hack to equalise the "field audio" on replays (usually the player/object car is obnoxiously louder than every other car):

  • Player car volume to 0.5
  • Opponent car volume between 2.5-3.0

Replays will sound more "racey" as opposed to one noise car with a bunch of back-up singers.

@DJFridge partially so, but more like they were trying to replicate how some cars are invite-only IRL, if you look at the cars that are invite-only, they're the ones which require an invite in the real world.

Does anyone know how or if you can actually change the size of the screen display ?
When doing the first set up it gave me the impression that you can but I cant see how or where to do it ?

I'm just on a base model PS4 and running into a 24'' monitor. It's not really a major issue as it's only about 5mm I'm missing and dont really notice while driving, but I'm only on a 24'' screen so would be good to be able to use all of it.

Same for me, except I'm on a 32"

Is there a streamer mode OST option like transmission mode in GT Sport? I didn't see it in sound options or Showcase. Hard to avoid copyright when the game loves to only play Lenny Izibarre in the missions.

I think you can do that with GT Menu (top left icon)/Options/Video Output.

Thanks O604 ... I thought I had looked through every menu, will double check when I'm home tonight.
I only get to play late at night, hope its just my tired eyes that have missed the option !

So, has anyone figured out how to export photos from the PS5 to a USB stick yet? I've pulled two off the GT website and the compression is absolutely atrocious.
I just take screenshots and transfer them onto a USB.

I bought the AMG GT Black Series yesterday and immediately took it to the Nurburgring to see how it would go. I started my first lap and immediately went off the track at the first corner because I overestimated the braking performance of the car. However once I got it going, it was brilliant and performed exactly as I expected it to. I made a few mistakes but the way everything felt was very realistic, and I don't just mean the car. The track itself felt way better than GT Sport. Each bump, camber change, ripple strip and curb stone felt the exact same as Assetto Corsa, even upsetting the car in the same way. I was able to steer with the throttle, using it to rotate the car through the corners. To say that the physics are a slight improvement over GT Sport is a lie; the experience was scarily similar to Assetto Corsa. Combine that with the graphics and a more realistic sound (the mod in Assetto Corsa sounds like the regular AMG GT, which is wrong) and you have one hell of a package. It doesn't get any better.

I’ve seen some methods here for grinding out credits, but haven’t seen the one that I’ve been using. I’ll just leave this here.

If you have Sardegna Windmills unlocked (Menu Book 38 in the Café), it offers a 3 lap rally race that takes a little under 4 minutes yet pays out 97.5k (just don’t hit the single other opponents’ car).

Effectively, this can earn you up to 1.462.500 credits per hour - if you don’t take any break.

Edit: Fishermans Ranch is more efficient. Also 97.5k payout, but just one lap which takes 3:15 or less. 1.7 million per hour.
