Bug found! In B-9: the demo driver has MT (offroad tyrs on) but when i drive i get KM (comfort medium tyres) on WTF!! 2 bugs in 30 minutes found? Who does nobody at PD recognise this?!?
If you had checked the constantly updated Known Issues list that is displayed on both the initial Gran Turismo 7 screen and also on the bottom left of the Main Menu, you would know these have been acknowledged and will be fixed on a later patch.

Do you have the manual shifter with the G29? If it rests in 1st it will change to first when you get control.
Yes i do, but its in neutral? Who does this matters? I am driving with paddles in manual anyway. So annoying , quality checks are cut off nowadays 🤯😤 for noe, i managed to get gold with automatic and 3. gear downshift in the corner!

One of the missions in "Moby Dick" is pretty much broken in terms of getting gold from what I've experienced so far.

It's the one with the Nissan GT500 at Fuji, you've got to pass Honda GT500 & the Porsche GTE before the chicane and it's more or less impossible thanks to a combination of dopey on-rails AI and hyper sensitive no-contact (not ever slight rubs) rule.

One of the following will happen each time at the chicane causing a fail:

  • NSX will decide to turn into you on entry
  • NSX will decide to bump you from behind
  • Porsche will decide to turn into you
  • Porsche decides it wants to fight you back into the left-hander then run you wide
  • NSX decides to PIT manoeuvre you
  • Porsche decides to move across and door you
  • Either Porsche and/or NSX will decide to send it into the uphill right-hander

I doubt they'll patch this either.
I've clocked in 200km+ of this and I'm tearing my hair out. I've done a BETTER time @ 1:14.728 than the YouTube video guides and all I got was 2nd at best. Everyone I've watched easily passed the Porsche and NSX well before the Chicane... :banghead: We need to raise awareness on this.

I have a friend (no GTP account) noting that he's experiencing a bug online and offline with the Ford GT GTE not letting him shift out of 1st gear at the Nurburgring when the car comes out of the pits. Anyone else experience?

...since I was gringing a bit for money, there is strange bug here and there occurring when deriving dirt tracks that DualSense controller looses main vibration (restarting game returns function), tirgers work, haptics work... Using mostly Audi S1 on 97.5k track

There a bug when adding either the adjustable Race or Manual transmission, did the cars PP drop to 237, the only way to get around it now is to set the transmission back to ‘Normal’

But they’ll be back no need to rush.

I did buy the Shelby 350 because I encountered a glitch. Went it see it, saw it was 496,000 or so and decided not to buy.

Couple of hours later and I’m playing the game. (On launch day) and show my 12yo daughter the game (she loves the livery editor). As I was showing the 350 it was suddenly 349,000 - so I snapped it up.

Next time I saw it was back at 490k or so.

Feel I stole it!

Can't help with the colors. D:

But Wikipedia says Pastel Yellow, Polar Silver, and Indian Red.
Also
• Artic Silver
• Fern White

For some reason in GTAuto Porsche only has Polar Silver, Artic Silver but "Metallic", RUF has India Red and Light Yellow "Pastel".

Thanks!

I haven’t seen the Celica there so I assumed it cycled out before I got to play. Maybe I’m not far enough yet?

It might be the same globally, although I hope not.

So I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if the "input smoothing" or whatever you want to call it for controllers is just broken at its core, but on really tight hairpins some of my higher HP(600-ish) AWD cars refuse to turn. The worst offender being turn 10 at Interlagos, where nothing I try will get it around the corner.

It's hard to tell in the video, but this was with the stick as far right as it would go. I even tried wiggling it a bit to see what would happen, but no dice.

The input smoothing is good enough in most situations, and iffy-but-manageable in some situations, but my GTR can't handle this specific corner at any speed. I've tried going even slower, changing the power and brake balance, ripping the handbrake, and even mashing the throttle, but nothing will allow the car to take that turn specifically. Ripping the handbrake would make it rotate enough to make the corner, but the weird steering angle limit applied to counter steering as well, so I couldn't correct the slide(I even tried turning counter steer assist on and it couldn't catch it with any amount of throttle input). The clip was recorded after I gave up and dropped the AI difficulty just to get the race over with.

I love the game overall and even found myself excited to get home and play today, but every time I really start getting into it a weird thing like this or the busted tire selection in off-road challenges/license tests pops up, and it just kills my mood.

I had this happen earlier, and under accelleration it was fine because the car was pulling the weight off the front. I raised it up and it fixed the issues.

I'm not sure how you guys are trying to pass them before the chicane. I was behind both cars until the final straight, following closely, and was able to make the pass on the straight.

I've had some of the best races of my life using the custom option and professional difficulty with both tire wear and fuel consumption high (to force multiple pit stops).

The game on that level automatically starts me in 10th and I don't change it.

My best finish in 4 races is 8th. I am not an elite racer so you guys might do better but it was as much fun as I could possibly have.

AI mistakes, yellow flags galore (2 of the races were at Laguna and the corkscrew was not kind to the AI), aggressive/combative AI driving... and, I believe a few AI drivers actually had it out for me, although I doubt that's programmed in to the game so it's probably in my mind. Lol

My first GT since GT5. National B final license is hell for me lol. The car just understeers. I guess it's easier on steering wheel? I played with a controller.

Got the call it arrived. Should be a fun thing. :)

Oh yea, the custom races are great. The Ai are so much better there. You can have some proper races finally.

Here's a money making method that is the most guaranteed win and is only about 15% less money per hour than the Gr. 4 at High Speed Ring.

Sunday Cup race at Daytona oval and using the Dodge Tomahawk S. The tune is at the end. Also I tried the Tomahawk S for the event at Route X and it makes a little less money per hour and is less fun without the challenge of avoiding lapped cars.

I have no problem saying I just suck at this game but the 2 cars pull a huge gap from me on the straight, making it tough for me to ride the slipstream. It doesn't explain that I have a better time than one of the YouTube videos.

That's around the same ball park for the car's value in real life, it was valued at £7million in 1996, adjust that for inflations and it's more or less £13-14million. Also, that's the only one they ever made.

@JoaoSilva @JDMKING13 weirdly the Thrustmaster GT-T feels better on PS5, feedback feels more 'detailed'
Yeah I know the history of that car very well, the Le Mans racer that never raced Le Mans. ☺️

I‘m also perfectly fine with cars mirroring their real life price, it’s something I secretly wanted for many years in the more serious racing games. However what I’m completely not fine with is the way we earn credits in the most efficient way. Instead of farming Fisherman’s ranch over and over again I would prefer to do all sorts of races in cars I enjoy and earn credits efficient as well. The time & effort you put into the game vs the rewards you get from it is completely out of whack.

EDIT: Never mind, I thought you meant IB-10. However, most of the things I wrote at the bottom sort of apply here too, especially turning off countersteering assistance.

I didn't really have much trouble with it, but I seem to be in the minority. What worked for me was anticipating the braking points and braking just a little bit earlier than normal (according to the shift indicator light). Also, the only assist I have on is ABS and the rest are entirely turned off, including any sort of racing line and the countersteering assist (which may be your problem if it is turned on).

If I’m not mistaken that’s doing a series of connected corners on Autopolis? Maybe try the gyro method of steering? I play on PS4 Pro with the controller and use that for steering. I find it much more precise than using the analog stick.

Some other tips:
  • play around with different camera views. I find bumper cam or roof cam the best ones for license tests.
  • play around with traction control (via the HUD menu while driving). I have it on 1 by default and always visible so I can easily change it to a higher or lower value with up/down on the D-pad.
I only play with the gyro steering (started using it in GT Sport and never looked back to the analog stick) and gold’ed all NB & NA license tests this way. Wanted to continue with license tests yesterday but then ran into that ”my dirt tyres gone MIA“ bug which basically makes it impossible to get gold on anything on a dirt track, and it’s even very challenging to get bronze. Waiting for PD to fix that bug with high priority, I hope somewhere next week we get another patch, if needed even just a quick hotfix only for this bug since it’s a show stopper for many people.

One thing I have never been a fan of in GT is still present. You can take a street car and make it the same power, weight and PP of a similar race car and be several seconds slower no matter what. Just did some testing with this guy to get it into Gr4 spec and it's ~3 seconds slower at Maggiore than the Gr4 Genesis G70. The Z is just a hair lighter and has about 20 more horsepower. 🤷‍♂️
