I don't get why people are complaining about PD plummeting the economy of the game to push for microtransactions. I mean:

-Car prices are overly inflated in recent years.
-Payouts are getting smaller and with less purchasing power.
-You spend more money to race than you can earn from it.

It is definitely a Real Driving Simulator. 🤣🤣🤣

I dont care. When Sony has time to nerf the credits, they also have time to bring back 1.06

Get PD and Sony managers out of their warm beds to fix this disaster.

And i think they also can effort programmers who work at night.

It's not a matter of money. It's a matter of honor. In Japan in a situation like this the programmers would never think of leaving until the game is working again properly. That's why you see fewer issues with Japanese games than Western ones. 👍

More of a matter of a society creating increasingly barbaric working expectations that encourages men to work as much as possible so they can be deemed as successful, but yeah.. same end goal I suppose.

Crunch is also a massive problem in Japanese game companies and offices in general, but as long as a game doesn't have bugs who cares what the workers go through right?

Thanks for the pop psychology lesson Mr. Japanophile. Doesn't exactly stop the fact that Polyphony is in the eye of a ****icane of their own volition and are showing no signs of backing down, are they?

Also lmao, there are just as many issues with Japanese games as there are with Western games, this is such a silly sentiment.

If only I had access to this $100 game I purchased.

PD still didn't allow players to sell prize cars there, didn't remove the 20 million credit limit or address the garage limit, still neglect the Gr. X class issue being largely useless, or addressing the limits provided by N-Class, address the UX issue in the game there, allow to adjust HUD, etc.

But what I said there happened for real. The reduced payout for the races, and not only the currently main best way to grind money (and not as good as the grind in older games still). So them making it worse (there's fixed WTC 800 race, but the change makes this worse overall) did happen.

I loved the birthday gift in GT. Even if sometimes it was a cheap car but the idea itself was so cool. Even that is gone! Oh and no 360 degrees camera view or dashcam in 2022 is a joke.

Western devs are lazy and thats why crunch exist. I knew a person who worked as a high level programer on norton antivirus since the mid 90's. He complained about crunch but also told us 75% of the year they goofed off and did less work than most normal people do on a day to day. If you have to crunch to produce a polished product , tough cookie. No one cries when the construction workers come home tired and have to wake up at 6 am the next morning or when lawyers get 4 hours of sleep to win big cases.

What on earth are you going on about? Do you have a detailed insight into how well known 'western' devs Polyphony and Sony from that well known 'western' country, Japan work and how that is a relevant comparison to your preconceptions about a construction worker or lawyer?

I understand people's frustration (and share some of it) about GT7 being down for a day and some questionable decisions on the in game economy but some of the stuff on here today boggles the mind...

They've intentionally waited till the game is outside of PSN's 14-day refund policy before they made this morning's absolute joke of an update.

Absolutely predatory scumbag business tactics at play here and no effort made to hide it. Sony is the new EA.

Don’t forget the overall inflation that’s going on right now 🤔 next update might bring higher prices to everything, including tuning.

Your 14 day return policy is revoked right after you start downloading the game so I don’t see how it matters.

Now this is just getting out of hand, they are following the exact same schedule as GTS in terms of server maintenance and updates. They didn’t break the game like this on purpose, you guys need to chill.

So I made more calculations and, aproximately, to get the 270 cars of the Brand Central you would have to play (before the patch) for 90 hours the Fisherman's Ranch race to get the 157 million credits all those cars combined cost.
