PD offices are Fukuoka, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.

If I remember correctly based on GT7 intro movie, developers listed are only Japanese which is Fukuoka and Tokyo, I assume. It is unclear what Los Angeles and Amsterdam offices is doing.
Only the offices in Japan do game development. The other ones deal with licensing. I'm actually curious to see if Valkyrie (studio that Sony bought back in December) is getting involved with the GT IP since they worked in multiple Forza Motorsport games.

Is anybody talking about easter eggs in GT7 yet? I don't see a thread for it. I've heard about the kangaroos at Mount Panorama, the monkey and grizzly bears at Trial Mountain, and I just now learned that Daytona has a dual Space X rocket booster landing which is rad @R1600Turbo. Is anybody logging these?
@Famine was going to publish an article on them earlier today, but there was a... change of plans. 🤔

Still offline?
Wow...
Do we at least kniw what exactly is wrong? Is there a critical bug and we will get another update or did they just forgot to include new Music Rally Events for us to enjoy?
Maybe this is a way to make us play all of the Music Rally...

Some people are just over exaggerating. PD messed up, true, but it's hardly worth destroying your disc over. Or selling your consoles over.
Not destroying disc but the boycott should be launched.
Some people.

Just watch their regret when the "sorry for the outage" is a huge chunk of credits and reversal of the prize changes.
They'd have regret unlike certain company.

If you want to boycott Sony and/or PD then by all means go ahead. I might just join you in a week if the game server(s) still isn't up by then. I am giving it a maximum of a week for this to be fixed before I consider it time to say **** PD. ;)

I wonder if the servers are still down due to the earthquake they had
Earthquakes of that strength happen every now and then. We had a worse one in Tokyo just last year (though as far as I remember there weren't any power outages then). The earthquake has nothing to do with this at all.

Now it has reached red score for the user.

Deserved very much. It's GT7's actual score without the shilling.
Having played the game now for some hours I gotta say that I'm quite disappointed.
The game just feels completely empty and boring. Guess I was expecting too much when they announced "the return of the GT mode".
GT was overrated anyway. The return of the GT mode would only mean the bad things GT had done before are returned. What's good of used cars? They're only limiting you to the access of all cars in the game. What's good of the map menu? Who cares about menu this ain't a real menu simulator. The events are also repetitive that it's only races on circuits with different laps and cars. Moreover, they can't ever get AI and racing right, cheated using rubberbanding before. And this is supposed to be a racing game (of which they focus to add irrelevant gimmicks rather than addressing that).
Going to interesting regarding players that use GT to escape realism. Now, those people really can't afford a C63 or Shelby GT350.

It's the reason to buy video games. Making players work up to buy a virtual car is just wasting time. Because those cars and money aren't real anyways.
Ok. I figured out why GT7 servers are still down...

That because I took a free day tomorrow from job to play GT7. That is definately the reason why they cut it down. Maybe i will go to work instead so the rest of you can play it xC
Better not play the game even after the GT7 servers are up again.

For PD you can just start it now. No need for maximum of a week. This isn't a one time thing PD has done this for decades. So no for PD you should start the boycott ASAP, you've given them decades.

I could but I really want to stay somewhat positive that things will improve as they did with GTS and GT5's tough launches. I've been around for a long time, yes, but this is the first time PD have really made a game with so many questionable decisions that I'd consider boycotting them. This is the first time where PD has deliberately designed a game economy around MTXs. Which regardless of how you stand on it, is always a questionable practice. Sure there were MTXs in Sport and 6 but they didn't have too much of a negative impact on the gameplay.

This server issue they're facing right now is only icing on top of a very bittersweet cake. Like I said I'll give it a week.

Wow, It's almost 24 hrs, since the server went down, For a game that's out,for just over a week this doesn't bode well, for always online BS! There should be a law in place that this is only needed for online activity and not for games that have 80% single player activity! I bought the game to play! And should not have too worry about some fracking server somewhere! the save game data is really small, and should have been separated from the main servers too begin with! this is really unacceptable in my view!!! Compensation is definitely a must now!

Doesn't change the fact was still that they had tough launch, updates shouldn't be condoned (even if those are free). So it's an indirect delay that the proper game had happened after those updates that improved the game, while the players are given half-baked games to play for a meanwhile. That's still also the decision that should be taken care of. And questionable decisions aren't only about MTX, but what's listed on here or here for example. And they still kinda don't address a good chunk of those too, or GTS' problems among their updates.

by me writing this post, its been 05.24pm in Japan. I am not sure if PD staff taking overtime or just leaving stuff and going home like nothing happened.

Also in IT there is a policy that does not allow you to deploy something on production environment one day before weekend or holiday. If they also implement this stuff, then we need to wait another 2 days for nothing, until next Monday.

But I HOPE NOT.

Happy waiting!

Starting to look like we need to wait until Monday at least..

Oh well, F1 season beginning this weekend. I understand why people are frustrated. I am slightly too, feeling like I dodged a bullet by only buying this game to PS4. Pre-order just over 60€, not paid a dime on anything, I have lost more in sports bets at times. Plus this game provided some of its value due to my low expectations. Definitely not the full value, absolutely not.

Hopefully the game gets fixed, and rather sooner than later these issues, all data must be restored (obvious I know lol). I am thankful that someone mentioned the cars did not disappear. That would have broken my hopes almost completely for this game. Because I really like collecting cars, as much as the racing bit almost. And I put so much time for my F50, 911 strasse, One-77, Huayra and F40. F50 took a lot of time to get enough credits, did not have any of the rally races yet at that point. All these 5 are like over 10M, not bothering to do the exact math.

Yeah, no clue what happens next or when the game is back up. We'll see what happens 🤔

Game is down since 2 days... ok

But I hope to PD, they'll fix it before this weekend, when more gamers playing the game.

True, but not looking good.. Depends on how you view this. Because I now guess that PD may take the weekend to lick their wounds and plan for a better future of the game for all.

But yes, starting to get low key pessimistic too. It is possible they just fix the 1.07 to work as intended on Monday at latest, restore everything. Less credits earned from races => more pushy to microtransactions etc. And act like nothing happened, maybe give a small reward for the malfunctions. 🤔
