@Famine how does licensing work in Granturismo? Does PD have an all encompassing license for the life cycle of the game, wherein they have free range to any model under said manufacturer license? Or are they limited to certain models?

I understand the low car selection is due to them needing to model out hundreds of cars to meet their standard, sometimes outsourcing the modeling.

But... can they model any car they want as long as they have the license?



Because I really want a wide bodied Nissan Pao with an SR20 swap.... 😂😂

Is there a Japanese equivalent of this forum? I’d be fascinated to see what they’re saying. Wasn’t there a lot of prestige attributed to GT due to the e sports side of Sport. The handling of multiplayer has been a disaster with 7 despite there being some amazing racing to be had.

There are many, but not sure which/if any is most similar to this (which imo is by far the best English-language one), and PD/Sony (not so much Kaz, but he’s certainly not coming out unscathed) seem to be getting hammered. I have a feeling that when the dust settles the Japanese outlook will be that this fiasco was all caused by letting Sony get too foreign and ‘Americanized’. I haven’t seen data, but I suspect a higher percentage of J players avoid online and stick to single-player stuff only, which I think will help us all out if PD does react to what they’re saying. Assuming Sony lets them ofc.

I’m calling it now. Big changes/update by next weekend.

Nothing technical about it. There isn't any. GT7 is missing about half, if not more, of its actual game. No excuse for this to have missing championships and races from GTS.

Hey so I have finished the Cafe menus and won the GT Championship... I've got my licenses... still a few missions to complete. Anyhow... my question is... where's my beloved Mangusta and Pantera? I saw no sign of them anywhere. Ferrari Daytona 3645? check. Ferrari Dino? Check. I didn't encounter any De Tomasos... coming in a later update?

There isnt races for karts, gr2, gr1, lmp, f1, supercars...

The Pantera is in the game. It was in the UCD on release day. I marked it on my wishlist as I couldn’t buy it at the time. You just have to wait for it to appear again.

In other news, I've started playing gt6 again as I didn't get past half way before life took over a few years back. It's still a brilliant game with such variety and character. Maybe I'll say the same about gt7 in 10 years.

I assume they will rotate through the legend car dealership the next couple of weeks.

Worst case scenario, I believe the full rotation is something like 3 months. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's impossible to know exactly, we have no idea if the rate is going to be adjusted once or more even.

Probably in time there will be. In any case, I did some kart races and they’re a lot of fun. Same for gr2 and f1.

There’s so many people here wanting to try different combinations. I’m sure we could fill a lobby if we put out minds to something else other than focusing on the negatives of the game in its current state.

That’s like saying I should get access to the final boss because I paid for the game. You knew from the get go you wouldn’t have access to all the cars from the start.

Yeah that sucked. I haven’t finished the cafe yet but that was the only car I bought to do any of the books apart from the initial car.

The more I read on here and other reviewers elsewhere, the game is actually a bit of a disaster and nothing more than a not even subtle cashgrab from people who have already paid a not insignificant price to begin with..not sure if PD had any say on the matter or whether it came from Sony, it’s not a good look at all, it’s also the only GT game I never got on release day and I’m more glad of that and sad too at the same time that it’s come to this…I’m more than happy to stick to my PC gaming for now and not even worry about getting a PS5

Yea I thought this was a bit odd. From memory you could get the F150 as a championship prize, but that was a 1 in 3 chance! Anyway, given the F150 was a prize in that particular menu book, I decided to go buy the Tundra and actually quite enjoyed it!

I did the International B license today and noticed the graduation test is a duplicate of the graduation test for the B license in GT3. Are there any other duplicate tests from older games in GT7?
