Downloaded, yes. Played, no. Not until the servers come back online.
Yeah I just downloaded it. A bit odd that it's not published once the servers are back up.

The lobby issues are way to important to not have mentioned them in the patch fixes, very concerning.

The most unsettling thing about the car additions so far is how the game initially made a big deal out of having three separate car dealerships. However, five of the six cars added since release have been Brand Central exclusives. One would think they’d do more to flesh out these new sections of the game.

Well, it released exactly what I was expecting. Barely any more events (9 races that take less than 2 hours to complete), 3 cars, no tracks, a buckload of comestic and bug fixes.

As for the cars:

-Toyota GR010 - Welcome edition.

-Roadster Shop Rampage - Sigh... Was it too much to ask for the ORIGINAL stock 1970-1980 Camaro that WE can customize and tune AS WE LIKE?

-Suzuki VGT - Ugh... Another VGT. But at the very least, the car is really beautiful. Just a shame it's a fictional car and thus has no soul in it.

I'd argue this 3 car update is worse than the 1st.

In order to play these new events, it is necessary to unlock and accept Menu Books No. 40, 41, and 42 in the Café.
 - Adjusted the rewards for Arcade Races and Custom Races;
 - Added the 'Race Settings' option to the Quick Menu of Custom Races.

This is exciting. I wonder how much it is Adjusted?

Why is this huge.?

Yes, very small impacts will now be tolerated but surely it also means that deliberate acts will be more commonly ignored?
Very-small impacts were already tolerated.

I can only surmise that the penalty threshold has been raised to a more-sensible level.

Why is this IMHO "huge and will be appreciated by many", you asked? I'd have thought that the regular (to put it mildly) complaints I hear in online streams would make the answer self-evident.

Also, I'm of the opinion that deliberate acts would generally be above the impact threshold, provided they set it sensibly. Sabotage by other drivers is most-often intended to punt you off the road. That sort of impact is much-greater than rubbing shoulders / elbows in the normal argy-bargy of racing.

Man update after update I'm hoping they will bring back amount of smoke and particles effects like before but nothing...
And now there's no exhaust backfire on race cars either...
Real shame for chase cam users...
They removed backfire effects from the exhausts?! Why would they do that??

Good question... tried 911 rsr, 787b, clk lm all at night absolutely none and all had it before...
Out of interest, which console are you using?

Having exhaust flashes from my max tuned Prius was hilarious. It'll be a sad day if they've removed that...

Now that I'm looking at the Kei Car Cup I think that the Suzuki Cappuccino from the previous update was actually a great addition. It is superiour to the Daihatsu Copen thanks to being rear wheel drive, while also avoiding the dreaded MR layout of the Honda Beat and S660. The hour-long endurance race on Autopolis should be much more doable with the Cappuccino as well, in case you were struggling with it before.

Ah... My first GT update on PS5.
Takes 12 minutes to copy, a fair bit better than on PS4 but much slower than I was expecting for this lightning-fast SSD. Maybe it wants more than 60GB free space to move things fast.
