Is he the only one able to datamine GT7? If not, can anyone else confirm this info? And is there an actual original post of this guy, or is it just "according to someone who was told by another someone who saw someone posting that before May update release"? It would be nice to at least confirm those lines actually being in games files.

And then, as Famine said in another thread, there's been plenty of other similar stuff hidden in GT games before, but never released. So even if those lines are in the game, it doesn't mean we will get those cars in the next update or even at all.
There was somebody here who was modding GT Sport (adding more cars on track etc) i think this datamining of GT7 is possible on PS4.

Given the paltry content updates thus far, I was half expecting PD to have been working on something big to be revealed at the state of play.

Evidently not.
God of War: Ragnorak is out this year. Possibly also The Last of Us Remake. Neither have been showcased or even had dates yet. There will be further Summer Games Festival events. Plus at least a couple more State of Plays before the end of the year.

PSVR2 is up in the air as we haven’t seen a full hardware reveal yet. Let alone a date.

Talking about leftovers, GTS had Willys text string, also all GT6 brands. Lotus even had a logo. Maybe more GT6 brands will return and go to GT7. But still, that association might be weak on itself. Most likely in my opinion based more on GT7 list and additions in GTS and 7 updates:
Autobacs combined with Lexus and Subaru GT300 cars can make a batch like 2008 GT500 that came in one GTS update;
Cadillac, Buick, Chrysler, contain lots of muscle classic cars that can go with C3 Corvette, Boss Mustang etc;
Caterham is probably nearest to Lotus but not Lotus, also it could go against BAC Mono;
Cizeta is highly popular premium but there are some issues I have heard in these forums (licensing AFAIR);
Isuzu is probably the largest Japanese brand not in GT7;
Dome has Zero which fits into retrofuturistic style like RX500, also it has some racecars;
Mine's, Blitz, Mugen, Spoon etc especially premium tuned cars would make it easy to add new brands and licensing probably isnt that hard since both Amuse have returned.

EDIT grammar

There are numerous people doing these things and the ID’s posted up above where double checked by others. As you say, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re coming in the next couple of updates. Although the last two updates cars all being listed together (if we can take the images as accurate) maybe indicates this.

Something called Spec DB is the failsafe way to know what’s coming (at least based on GT Sport experience). But that isn’t being used in GT7 yet. The track info is from numerous areas of the game. That’s more speculative as you need to ask whether PD would put assets in GT7 for tracks that aren’t planned.

everyone knows about that one. There are also thumbnails for Elise '11 and its title in game.
It was also selectable in the Geneva Motor Show build, but there's no footage of anyone driving it in that show.

EDIT: Also I don't think the entirety of GT6 manufacturers being in GT Sport's manufacturer table means anything, to be honest.

I was on the Super Formula website and noticed this livery contest -

Also a very cool reference library for existing liveries.

Sorry mate but you’re going to have to start backing up your claims with sources & evidence. Critical & player reception, retail performance, and Sony’s continued investment in the franchise, all point to PD making the correct decisions for GT7. It may not be for you, but that’s irrelevant to the bigger picture.

You're asking too much of GTPlanet's regulars.

I think the fact Sony wants to make Gran Turismo shows and movies is proof enough they see Gran Turismo as one of their core brands along with Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War and Horizon.

What most people on forums like these fail to realize is that 99% of racing game players are casuals. They don't care about the finer details of the games they play. I find GT7 very casual-friendly TBH, as are other hot racing games today.

Someone once told me forums are the dinosaurs of social media and it does feel like places like these are host to a number of near extinct species whose only comfort is liking each other's posts until they finally die out of frustration at their discovered irrelevance.

The general section of GT7 here is miserable next to the dedicated sections where no redundant negative threads exist and people always help each other, as originally intended when forums were first created.

No they aren't.

Yes they do.

It's almost like people are mad at the state that GT7 is in, and they're voicing it, regardless of the reasoning you believe is conspiratorial and circlejerk-y.

I haven't tried the 86, might give it a go. I've got a 700PP tune for the Gr3 NSX which isn't bad, and a 680ish tune for the Gr4 BMW. I'm currently trying a 700PP tuned up M3 (the 2009 version) but I can't get more than two laps out of it, even with the fuel mix set to 6. That third pitstop kills me every time, my lunchtime race just now I actually finished while in the pits! I think I need to try something lighter and less thirsty, which is a shame because the M3 handles really nicely.
Any ideas?

Oh, I like the 155 as an idea. I love touring cars and even tried to wangle a 155 as a company car once (didn't manage), so when it was first in Haggerty's I put it on the wish list, hoping I'd have enough money when it came round again. I like the way it handles but I'd discounted for this race it because it looked a bit underpowered against the modern Gr4 cars. I'll have to check what difficulty I'm on though. I think it's the middle one, not quite sure how to change it tbh.
Sorry, I meant to say I used HARD tyres, not soft.

Anyways, with the GrB 86, you only need to pit once. I start on Fuel 1 to pass a heap of cars on the first lap, then change to fuel map 6, pit after 3 or 4 laps, and coast to an easy win.

Often the rain comes in this race. I might change to intermediates if it looks halfway heavy, or not if the radar indicates it may pass. The 4WD gives a huge advantage, and even with Racing Hards, I can get away with enough traction if I use TC5 for the rain.

It really is a doddle in this car. In dry conditions, geared to 330 km/h for the long straights, it blasts past all other cars.

Most of the forums I used to follow (covering various subjects) have either died off completely. Or host a handful of posters who want to, being polite, let off steam. More like a feedback forum rather than the general discussions we used to have back in the day.

On the football forum I follow. We had calls for the manager to be sacked and players to be sold throughout the season. We ended up winning the title.😆

Feedback and constructive criticism is a great thing. Many people offer it directly to Kaz and other PD devs on Twitter. Forums are less personal and anonymous. So you tend to get more hyperbole.

Edit: With all that said, I just checked Resetera and this was the top thread.👀

Someone needs to tell Kaz about this!!

I hope if it does return it’s part of a pack with the Toyota GT-ONE & Porsche 911 GT1 ‘98. That would allow PD to do a proper GT1 (Gr.2) Championship or Mission race.

We do have the ‘97 996 GT1 road car. But this is the only model that was produced in any significant numbers for the road. The ‘98 model is the more significant race car as it won Le Mans.

The monkey paw curls, Kaz will end up giving us a mix of all the years and have no consistency.

99 GT-ONE
The original 911 GT1
98 CLK-LM (in-game already)
97 F1 GTR (in-game already)
The Hybrid Panoz GTR-1
Road car version of the R390 which won't be Gr.2
Hennessey Venom GT because they got it mixed up with the Lotus GT1

Wow, that thread was an eyeopener to me. Surprised to see so many on ResetEra saying nice things about the game, some of them with 3-digit playtime.

Sucks about the recent FFB issues, but in some respects the game is actually at its best. Wasn't expecting them to improve the rain effects and the weather radar, for example. And there's always small tweaks like the GT Auto menu or the Wide Car notice above the cars (useful when searching for Styles).

I still think the game will keep growing with more interesting content and issues hopefully fixed. PD works slowly but isn't oblivious to the issues.

I actually enjoyed GTS a fair bit and that game had a **** GT League mode, lol. GT7 is mostly better.

Bold of you to assume they even know Hennessey exists :lol:

PD have been doing something to the atmospheric & particle effects. I can’t put my finger on it. There are fewer moments when GT7 clearly looks like a game. Heat haze, mist effects, more grass/gravel kicked up. Plus revised rain effects. Maybe more work on motion blur?

Maybe it was there before and I didn't notice, but doing a race at the Nürburgring I noticed that when it's only slightly misty, there are fog patches that form on the low points of the track. Little details like that really add up.

Kaz
I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again.

After three months your team hasn’t done much to prevent this. The game outright promotes it by offering very few events with good payouts.

Kaz
We would really appreciate it if everyone could watch over the growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a somewhat longer term point of view.

Then why on earth add even more “up arrows” to the dealership? These encourage players to rush and buy the cars as fast as possible.

Kaz
In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions.

:lol:

You're arguing with/laughing at somebody who's not actually there.

I realized that, too.

Thats shows one more, GT7 is still in development state and not finished..

Cizeta is highly popular premium but there are some issues I have heard in these forums (licensing AFAIR);
Another is that Cizeta founder Claudio Zampolli had already passed away, and that the company is set to be under new ownership, and with plans for a modernized V16T with a quad-turbo engine.
