I miss the Alfa Romeo GT from GT4 🥲

I honestly think my favourite kind of car to race is the sort of low-to-mid-end late 90's/early 00's coupe that used to be so common in racing games. Cars like the aforementioned Alfa, Fiat Coupe, Mitsubishi FTO, '03 Audi TT, Honda Prelude... Besides the Audi which is in GT, how often do you see these types of cars these days?

Me too - and I just thought of a few more as well. Hyundai Tiburon, DC5 Integra, Dodge SRT-4, Chevy Cobalt SS, Toyota MR-S? What on earth happened to these cars in newer racing games?

So I got a question regarding Sportsmanship Rating and Driver Rating.

How does these really work?

I got bumped off the road by someone and my SR went up?

And I finished in 3rd, the DR went up but in the next race I finished 5th and it went down a bit. I thought DR is based on how many positions you went from your starting position?

In this case nobody would do qualifying laps, would they? You loose and gain DR in relation to the other drivers DR and finishing position. If you finish higher than someone with higher DR you gain, he looses.

Seems like this car is taking a really long time to come back around, but maybe it just seems like that, since I'm waiting on it too. Need it for my alt ID play through.

well time moved on and "kids" nowadays are more into hypercars and stuff like that in games...at least that is the feeling i have

I was trying it out on the Neo-Classic at Willow. Absolute disaster 🤣

Took me at least a dozen tries to get 1st place using the Escudo. Hard tires and fuel management 6 should keep you from having to pit. Definitely a tough race though.

Pour one out for this mad lad who went the GT2 route. That's the only race in that series I couldn't cheese with the Escudo.

Leave Sven alone. He's explained it a thousand times. It really does need a sticky, though. Someone asks about it seemingly everyday.

Just look up chess ELO and that should give you an idea.

Unlikely of course but crossed my mind.

Given that they removed snow tracks, it's likely they have no snow shader which would be the easier way to do that then to retexture the entire menu. But who knows, maybe they have a trick or two up their sleeve.

Probably just for the trophy. Sport mode was fun but I like hot lapping more, met too many questionable drivers yesterday. I'd probably go back to Sport if the track/cars is interesting enough though.

GT7 Daily Race Discussion

I’m really enjoying Race C this week. Yes, there’s no strategy required and, yes, they’re mostly one make races, but it’s such a fun track to drive and so rewarding when you get it right. I finally managed to break into the 1:17s in qualifying which has ensured I’m racing at the pointy end...

And only finishing position counts for DR calculations, nothing else. ut it is heavily dependent on the DR of the other drivers finishing ahead and behind you. Race against lower DR players gains you little, can cost you lots.
