I find it very odd that Dragon Trail Gardens gets rain and night settings, when Seaside is by far the more beloved variant.

Same deal with Brands Hatch and Goodwood not having rain, when Britain is literally infamous for how rainy it is.
Rain at Brands Hatch would make my day. I've been creating as close as I can get to a BTCC race, with cars all tweaked so that I can lap them within a second of the actual track record, but some actual weather would shake things up brilliantly. I can also confirm that Goodwood, which is less than 8 miles from my house, definitely gets rain in real life!

Kazunori is at Pebble Beach, confirmed.

I love how every reply is just people demanding random features and cars. Makes it a surprise he even bothers posting things anymore.

I will say though - does this not have potential to change the silhouette posting time? Normally he is quite consistent in posting it in a small window, but if he's at Pebble Beach then it could throw it off a little as he's in another timezone. Not that it matters anyway, just a curious thought.

No silhouettes and having a surprise can be fun too, if the cars and hopefully the track are good selections.

I wouldn't put that out of the realm of possibility, seeing how it's around 6:30 PM there right now.

edit: or he forgot his laptop with that juicy silhouette3:jpg

Jpgs are so year one. PNGs are the future.
Who built the engine? McLaren? Audi? Lamborghini? JUDD????
Apparently Judd. Going off the teaser they released, its definately got the distinct Judd Drone as opposed the Audi/Lamborghini sound to my ears.

PD Logic- pointless unskippable video crashes livestream.

The current weekly race A allows for many examples of dirty driving without consequences and yet they take the "Sportsmanship" video so seriously that it crashes a livestream until it is played in full.

For god sakes, it's a watch-once 5min video, sheesh. Just watch it and it won't show up ever again. Really don't see the problem here.

The main problem is that it's glitchy and there are probably a lot of people who livestream that don't realize that the video could be causing the livestream to crash. Also it shows what supposedly isn't meant to happen, yet the penalty system many times doesn't punish people for when it does happen.

I meant is the inconsistency graphical? And do you play on ps5..
Yes, I play on PS5. And the tracks are inconsistent, everyone knows that, regardless of the console you play on.

What are the best in your opinion? I think most of the American tracks look great. Some European ones are worse like Le Mans
Watkins Glen is great, Spa in some cases looks great, in other places it looks bland. Kyoto looks good imo. Deep Forest, eh... It looks great but if you compare it with Trial Mountain, the details really fall short.

Yeah, I think Watkins Glen and Le Mans are good examples.

LeMans doesn’t only look bad, the performance on this track is also atrocious.

Watkins Glen is fantastic in every regard.

imo, on PS4 Slim:

Good:
  • Trial Mountain, probably the best looking track in the game, really good trackside detail, only missing rain
  • Nürburgring, also great detail but most notably the best showcase for the weather and ToD systems
  • Tokyo Expressway, great atmosphere, full weather

Bad:
  • Dragon Trail, huge downgrade over GT Sport, bad vegetation, low res textures
  • Spa, great detail but some sections have gigantic FPS drops, has gotten better since launch but still not great
  • Special Stage Route X, shadows appear right in front of you, reflection detail also a huge downgrade over Sport

Performance is all over the place on PS4.

In GTS I can run a full 20 car grid in N24, Spa or La Sarthe and not have a single frame drop (at least not as bad and noticeable), while in GT7, which looks exactly the same as the previous game, I have to limit my custom races to 9 or 10 cars because otherwise it gets really bad in most tracks regardless of time and weather, with Spa being the worst offender.

Also, some cars can look absolutely horrid while in-game.

As far as my testing.. On PS5, there's three or four mediocre looking tracks. The rest is up there imo.

All American tracks look great. Most Japanese and Asian look great, apart from Bathurst.

On Europe, tracks like Dragon Trail and St. Croix have problems.

What I really hate is some oddities like random corners with bad polygon-count, when the very same track has perfect looking corners everywhere else (St. Croix).

Tracks like Bathurst have bad polygon count relating to the track markers.

Cars on the other hand look close to perfect on the PS5, apart from the cockpit LOD when you are using the external camera.

I think I will make a Graphics thread with these problems too. They should be fixable, at least on PS5..

bad looking tracks:
St Croix (random corners)
Bathurst (low-poly markings)
Le Mans (Big fences, trees pop-in and disappointing trackside detail on the straight)
Dragon Trail (Weird looking trees and awful vegetation pop-in on the last corner).

Yeah... Dragon Trail needs an urgent graphical update...

In this last Time Trial I took my Gold quickly (only 26 km) and ran away.

Unlike the Trial Mountain TT, I did over 2,000 kilometers with a smile on my face. ;)

Bathurst has always looked sub-par even in GTS, and that's probably due to it being a GT6 port than entirely remade.

No excuse for the others though.
