Sooo, opinions about the new physics?
I don't like it, cars seem to be slightly less responsive and/or have input lag of varying degrees compared to before. The 1997 F1 GTR LongTail is noticeably 'Looser' feeling when driving it around Sardegna and the 1995 one is even worse now. Before the physics update cars seemed much more snappier and gave quicker response to inputs.

What a fantastic machine! To drive, to see (I threw away the wing), to hear (Sport Exhaust)...

I don't know what PD is going to do
That's exactly where you should have stopped.

Buuut to set a precedent, the current Nations title holder spoke out on Twitter about the game and still got invited to the World Series Showdown.

Nothing to see here.

Could this be down to your tune considering it was tuned to the prior physics system

I look forward to seeing locations like Moraine Lake, Lake Louise and Banff. ;)
I said that in February 2022. But it wasn't the first time I mentioned these locations here.

For me it's the second most beautiful place on Planet Earth. (the first is Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland).

So today I was amazed to see the new Scapes. I almost went to tears. (Of course, I'm not going to delve into my emotional relationship with this place here).

Scapes from Town of Banff itself will be welcome as well. ;)

Question: as someone who hasn't touched the game since late May, should i come back? I want to return but it seems like with every step forward they take another step backwards

I just made a joke to that extent in another thread, but it was a bit unkind...

As with previous GT titles, it does require one to make a bit of an effort or imagination to get the very most out of it, but for all its flaws it's still an absolutely brilliant game that has plenty of scope for enjoyment, so I'd say a definite yes in terms of coming back to it. It's never going to keep everyone happy, but it is already better than any other GT title IMHO, even though there is room for improvement in many areas.

Are you asking if the Pontiac GTO is available in Legends Cars yet?

If so, the answer would be "no", given that the Legends Car dealer doesn't update until 0000 UTC each day, and that's more than two and a half hours away.

The GTPlanet Update 1.20 Article
The other two more Legends Cars added today won’t actually become available to purchase until tomorrow, Friday August 26, when the store page is updated at 0000 UTC.

Two of my favorite Sardegna cars, the Lambo VGT and Mazda LM55 VGT Gr.1 both received additional 22pp. Now both are over 800pp.

Any idea what this is?

Are those involved celebs or regular esports drivers?

I think it’s a popular esports place / Internet cafe having a LAN party with some local content creators if I had to guess from browsing their twitter and website

Traditionally, the events in GT have been sorted into tiers, by the licence required to enter them by the League they're in (Beginner, Amateur, Professional, Expert, Extreme, Endurance) or both systems together.
In GT7, we have licence-free beginner events like the Sunday Cup, as usual. You earn roughly 100,000Cr/hour here.
You then need the B-licence to progress, payouts improve to roughly 300,000Cr/h.
You reach A-licence events, payouts increase up to 500~900,000Cr/h.
Everything's going fine, then you get a cake and watch the credits. Often GT games have two sets of end credits, and the REAL ending is far away at this point.
The campaign ended here at launch, despite the existence of IB, IA and S licences.
The early-April economy update added three end-game events in a much higher pay-tier, around what I'd expect from IA or S events. At the end of April, one more was added, the Spa 1-hour.
In the other four months, the only other events added have been more events for B and A licence, leaving a great chasm in the campaign between the four races that pay well, and everything else, as if they're some events from Menu Book 75 that were released early.
It's a disheartening situation for players who've put a lot of time in. Menus 1-39 are the beginning, many of us finished them in March, we have a sneak-preview for the late-middle of the game, and no ending. No Laguna Seca 200 Miles, no Nürburgring endurance, no major championships, no events for the MP4/4, F1500T-A, or X2019.
At this rate, I may soon just start launching the game once a month to see if there's a new grind yet.

I find it funny the new events don't even give enough combined to buy the 500k Dior car.

Really wish I knew what they were smoking with events and why they refuse to listen to the criticisms regarding them. Alien to me. I'm sure no other company operates like this nowadays.

So how's the MP4/4 feel like? If it handles with some fun characteristics, I'll get it. If it just feels like the other open wheels cars, Ill avoid it

I can't imagine it takes more development time and effort to create an event that pays the same as the 3 "end game" grind events than it does to create a new Sunday Cup 5 months after release.

What gives, PD?
Idk, but apparently they don't want too many GT fans to be excited about it. Seems like they're halfway doing what we want them to do.
