Traditionally, the events in GT have been sorted into tiers, by the licence required to enter them by the League they're in (Beginner, Amateur, Professional, Expert, Extreme, Endurance) or both systems together.
In GT7, we have licence-free beginner events like the Sunday Cup, as usual. You earn roughly 100,000Cr/hour here.
You then need the B-licence to progress, payouts improve to roughly 300,000Cr/h.
You reach A-licence events, payouts increase up to 500~900,000Cr/h.
Everything's going fine, then you get a cake and watch the credits. Often GT games have two sets of end credits, and the REAL ending is far away at this point.
The campaign ended here at launch, despite the existence of IB, IA and S licences.
The early-April economy update added three end-game events in a much higher pay-tier, around what I'd expect from IA or S events. At the end of April, one more was added, the Spa 1-hour.
In the other four months, the only other events added have been more events for B and A licence, leaving a great chasm in the campaign between the four races that pay well, and everything else, as if they're some events from Menu Book 75 that were released early.
It's a disheartening situation for players who've put a lot of time in. Menus 1-39 are the beginning, many of us finished them in March, we have a sneak-preview for the late-middle of the game, and no ending. No Laguna Seca 200 Miles, no Nürburgring endurance, no major championships, no events for the MP4/4, F1500T-A, or X2019.
At this rate, I may soon just start launching the game once a month to see if there's a new grind yet.
Yep, in essence, we got only half or a third of the game at launch. This is further supported by the "one journey ends, another begins" message at the end of the credits.

The fact that they still haven't used the IB and above licenses yet after all this time makes me think a big update is coming, they're saving the licenses for Seasonals, or they're going to continue dripfeeding us via the cafe (which would suck, honestly).

PD needs to work on their V8 engine sounds like... A LOT. The GTO just doesn't sound good and that's pretty disappointing. I guess American cars just can't be prioritized because they just aren't as popular as European and Asia-Pacific vehicles?

I suppose one of my all-time favorite cars being added distracted me from the fact that the update just isn't good =/

Selling cars is a "near term" update that hasn't happened in the 4 months since they promised it. Kaz wants us to look at things from a "long term point of view".

If more than 4 months is "near term", what's long term? How long does he really expect us to wait for it to be finished? Who knows!

I'm honestly expecting the drip feed to continue for years. We might have IA events by 2024.

I have no hope for a single large update anymore, just spreading the future content incredibly thin so we can watch it slowly piece together.

This is exactly whats gonna happen. I was hoping for tons of content by the end of the year, but at this rate...

It was a punch to the gut to see the new layouts were for one of my least favorite tracks in GT7.. and the fact the 'new' track is just a mini dirt track inside of CBC. YUCK! I wish so bad PD had added motorcycles to GT instead of rally/dirt racing. I loved Tourist Trophy and was really looking forward to what they could do with it but no. We're stuck with the pitiful dirt/rally stuff. I hate the way it feels/handles. It's like PD thinks driving on dirt is the exact same as driving on a sheet of ice. Oh well. That Watkins Glen update just spoiled me rotten. I want a new race track dang it!!

May i say here, that the worst thing about the Development of GT7 since it's release for PD is not that people quit the game for good (they already paid full price). It's that a lot of us will remember this when/if GT8 comes out. I know at least i will not pay full price. I will wait a lot of month and evaluate the state of the game.

Which manufacture does the MP4/4 come under?Ive searched styles under honda and mclaren but nothing shows for me,this is on the website not via console.

Maybe try leave that blank but have MP44 as a search term? In answer to your question, I've no idea.

Cheers for that, never had much success with the search in the past so never use it,however i did 2 separate searches, marlboro and camel and they showed up.Strange that it doesnt show up under vehicles though. 👍

Just checked but under pontiac we only have the transam,no GTO.Go figure.

you can just put the marlboro livery on a F1500 and save yourself 7 million
this is probably what I will do for now, because after acquiring all Group C cars I am tired with grinding. I will definately keep having just fun with this game.

Not really, they have quite different driving characteristics. Drove both last night at Spa. F1500 has a little higher top end, longer/fewer gears and the rear is more prone to step out. The MP4/4 is super planted and easier to drive.

The MP4 is my favorite new car in a long time, love it!

Extra Menu Book: Spend 2.4Mil credits on Gr.2 cars (with no Gr.2 events) to get a random engine

What a bargain.
All I can say is that PD is so out of touch with....reality. This is embarrassing. They don't even know what they're doing anymore.

On a side note, something that really p***es me off is that they add new and exciting tracks to the game, but they barely use them in Sport mode. Most of the time it's always the same 3-4 on rotation. The fact that there are only 3 races that change only once a week doesn't help at all.
I'm still waiting for a full matchmaking with all car classes/groups and tracks. With both locked BoP and tuning setups allowed. Something like FM has. I know that'll never happen because, as I said, they're so out of touch with reality.

I was talking in terms of doing a custom 80s F1 race. Doesn't really matter if the McLaren handles differently to the (fake) Lotus if they are the only 2 cars available. Still missing Ferrari, Ligier, Tyrells, Williams, Arrows, Benetton, Lola, etc to make it realistic. You can however get those liveries for the F1500, so can just spend 20 million for a full field of them and use your imagination.
