Graphics enthusiast like you can enjoy the PS5, but some people enjoy games and don't care about graphics.

I'm certainly on the graphics whore group, as I really enjoy my GT7 and PS5 :cheers:

Played this game for about 5 days and highly disappointed. Posted my ps5 for sale, hopefully to recoup some of my money lost, on getting a system to just play this game.

I gotta do better research next time I make a bold move on getting back into gaming for a franchise I grew up on.

You might have bought the PS5 just for GT7 (so in your case the game has served a system seller), but as others have pointed out there are tons of more games worth playing. You get 20 free games just through the PS Plus collection alone, and there are some really, really good games among those. My personal recommendation would be Persona 5, though that was removed from the lineup back in May. However if you claimed it until then you can still play it now. Other games that come to mind are God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, Resident Evil 7, Uncharted 4 and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. You get to play all those games for free, which is an incredible amount of added value to get on top of your PS5. Trust me, try a few of those games and you'll have a blast for sure.
 
Come on, console gaming in general is quite a cheap hobby all things considered. What might squeeze the wallet is if you decide to go for very high end TV and audio equipment (though you can absolutely still get great TVs without spending a fortune) as well as rigs.

I miss Top Gear Test Track lobbies. I miss measuring my 1/4 times at Route X. I miss people actually giving a damn about drag racing in GT.

Times change, people change, players grow up and prioritize the different aspects of their lives differently.

It's natural for any game. Did the lack of progression from GT6 to GT7 drive the wedge deeper? Certainly. But most players have either switched to PC/different console, or just quit gaming altogether.

Hell, with my studies, my job, and trying to maintain a social life, I'm thinking of quitting altogether as well. I'm barely on GTPlanet nowadays too. I just check this thread for any updates on open lobby network stability. Even then, I'd be hesitant on dusting off my console and reinstalling the game.

Tbf, I went into buying a PS4 just for that, but then games that release at a later date end up in my library.

You'd be stretched very thin, hair follicle thin to find someone with only one PS4 / PS5 title on their shelf lol

Not so strange in this era where some have digital only games ;). But yes get your point, particularly when some level of a subscription service is decent value. You can even just get it for a month or 2, for hardly any outlay snd taste all kinds of games. I'm currently playing (and really enjoying) Detroit Human, uncharted, football manager (on series x) and walking dead telltale (series x) along with gt7. Recently finished Remains of edith finch (not that it takes too long...) which was one of the best, most powerful experiences I've had in my 30 year plus gaming career.

Most of which I'd never bother to buy outright before sub services. Certainly not edith finch and that was incredible!

And if you a gt7 only type person, you can still sell the console and get most of your money back at present, if you're disappointed with the game.

Dude, there are plenty of great games that you can play on PS5. I bought a new PS4 Pro because PS5 are still scarce here (haven't buy a PS4 since it's release) mainly for GT7 (in which I'm also disappointed) but I ended up enjoying a lot of great games.

Also the difference between PS4 and PS5 is quite massive especially those with crossgen games. You'd enjoy them, don't sell it.
 
Is that the Porsche VGT in the middle or does it look like something older? No idea on the LMP, but the other car might be an S14 Silvia.

Looking at the rear wing pylons, it's definitely the VW IDR, the Porsche Vision GT Spyder we knew about.

Not sure about the third car. Either way, seems like another set of cars with no where new to race them and amass the ton of credits we'll need to buy them.

Its gotta be a Z30 Soarer. The S14 on the list is a kouki Ks aero model which has an obvious wing on it and more angular bodywork.

Soarers also had sunroofs. Why wouldn't they after all, being a 90s luxury car.

that's whats throwing me off.

I'm not fully convinced with that sunroof.

Looking at the list and there is s14_ks_aero_96 , so you are most likely right about that

with the IDR coming and obviously not on the Datamined list, I think that S14 isn't the K's aero model. They very well could've just put a plain S14 in it, and the K's Aero comes later, like how there's two S13 silvias.

Very well could be a Q's

The silhouette car has a small spoiler on it, matching the standard K's (non aero) model.
 
The Porsche is indeed in the silhouettes and we have yet again only 3 cars. :banghead:

Good lord, at this point I'll probably create my own GT just so I can get ONE station wagon.


Assuming no additions/changes of any events: the ID.R and the Porsche VGT are useless because they're eletric cars and evs in current races simply don't have enough batteries.

At least the third car, which seems to be a normal road car, can race at Tokyo 600.


Oh well... here's hope for more events, bug fixes and whatever there is in the next update...
