Oh I definitely am interested if you asked, great car choice to be honest. Less-so about the Silvia but the Japanese community I'm sure will appreciate it

Though like I've said previously, this is looking like a solid update
Sorry probably wasn't clear with me quoting your tweet at the end, but the first part of my post was referring to Kaz and the official tweets, not you.

i really though the bottom was this:

If we want to guess the speshul 25th anniversary car that involves FOMO, we need to think like Polyphony and come up with a car that's actually relevant to the occasion and give it a super speshul red-blue livery that includes the number 25 in any capacity.

My top guess is the DMC DeLorean S2 '04 because of its implied time travel value.
It'll take us on a speshul trip through Gran Turismo history in a 25-lap Driving Mission Gaming Tragedy Human Comedy event around the Tokyo Expresway paying out an almighty 27,500 Credits. The FOMO aspect will be the event's availability only until the next update, or the next week.

Yeee-haa.

I don’t mind the newer S14. The facelift transforms the exterior quite a lot. I know it’s not going to offer something radically different, but any car that revives old-school GT memories is a win in my book.
Sure, but when they're only adding three or four a month it's a bit much to get the same model two months apart, even if they are a bit different. Variety is the spice of life and all. If you like Silvia's you're set, if you don't, well not much else on offer.

I appreciate the new cars, but as someone who spends 95% of his time playing offline, I find it hard to motivate myself to do anything other than collect them. If only the AI could be as good across the board as it is in that one Gr.3 Maggiore race, custom races might actually be fun.
Even as an online player (Race A + B) I have zero interest in these cars. Let me rephrase that:
The cars are cool, but they're usually never used in any Race A or B. The only car added that I remember was the Cayman GT4 and everybody used it in Fuji Race A. You could have called it the Cayman Cup. Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars? They're always the same few that are competitive and they all came with the game at release.

At the end of the day it's always the same leitmotif: PD adds a bunch of cars here and there, even a track once every 3-6 months, but there isn't much to do with them. The core of the problem is not the number of cars or tracks. It's the USAGE, or lack of.
They also add a couple of events? Yeah you complete them within an hour, then what? You're done for an entire month. There's no career mode offline.

Again, as an online player in Sport mode (the only mode that allows matchmaking with a good amount of opponents) I don't know what to do with these cars since it's PD that tells me what type of cars I can choose from and what track I have to race on in a specific and very long period of time: ONE WEEK.

There's no freedom in multiplayer (again, Sport mode, the only one worth mentioning).

Do you know what would be a gamechanger for Gran Turismo? Multiplayer with a vast choice of lobbies based on car classes, a vast choice of cars for each car class, and in these lobbies you will race on a vast amount of tracks, that are in continuous rotation. No boredom. I'll never get tired of posting these screens...If you know this fun game, you know what I'm talking about:

I'm sorry but if the "25th anniversary" update doesn't bring any significant changes to offline and online in terms of game longevity I don't know what else would. A Spec 2.0 for GT7? I don't feel it.

They should release a package that includes every Sylvia variant ever made and get it over with.

Why the obsession with the Sylvia? Nothing wrong with them, but it's getting tedious.

Glad to see the Sierra but another S14 :indiff: and only 3 cars for a Anniversary update ??? These updates recently are pretty lackluster. The 4th 2th anniversary car will probably be yet another Gr.3 car Vision GT with a custom paintjob.

None of the cars are any of the classic GT cars that are missing, either. I'm really not expecting much of this update on the whole at all.

Probably a car with a 25th livery that you win doing a TT on one of the classic tracks.

I actually like that we're getting the facelifted S14 so soon after the last one. Simply because of the fact that after the Zenki dropped in September, it felt inevitable that the Kouki would also come out at some point in the game's lifecycle. So better to get it out of the way sooner, I say. Plus it's another 90's/00's coupe that I'm so fond of so no complaints from my end.

The Sierra and M2 are also both absolute wins as far as fleshing out the car list goes. An actual modern BMW and an iconic classic, both new to the series! If we don't get any new tracks or good events, at least the cars we got are great.

If it is a TT i wonder if that would be one that requires psn access or just a generic track TT that anybody can take part in.

How long before the server maintenance does the ingame update announcement usually show up? I still have two extra menu tickets to claim and redeem before the update drops, but I also want to start their expiration countdown as late as possible, in case they don't contain anything of use.

It’ll likely be online much like the current TT’s
Ive only just realised today that you dont need a psn subscription to take part in the online time trials, only for the daily races and multiplayer. I assumed as its called online TT i needed an active sub to take part.Live and learn.

I feel that the Castrol Supra will be the 25th Anniversary car. It makes the most sense IMO.
We already have the Castrol Supra livery in GT7, it's more likely to be a themed 25th Anniversay livery. Unless that's what you mean, but using the Supra GT500 as the base car.
