Buddy, I don't think this is the heads down showdown you for some reason keep expecting out of Sim Racers. Between GT7 and the much more accessible "My First Gran Turismo", PD doesn't need to worry about what is again a PC exclusive title. Odds are, No PC user is leaving their PC Sims for GT so lets stop pretending the Franchise is in some great danger courtesy of a far lesser known PC title.

Just attempted the Time Trail with the X2019 and Jesus Christ, the lack of a fan does NOT remove the fear factor of this damn thing. I consider myself decent around the track but at least for me, I have to ignore so many of my instincts to get a decent lap around here. It's right up there with when I attempted the X2010 challenge in GT5 (On a controller mind you).

This combo is just pure insanity. Who at PD decided to chose violence?

When did they add sounds to Windshield Wipers?

I remember this used to be a problem, so much so I was convinced it didn't make any sound since launch.

Was having a littlow ball with the wickid creation ford and heard it. Very good PD, stay sneaky

Any idea as to why some cars can't take tight turns? I drove my mazda 3 on eigerv Nordwand and i had to go at around 30 km/h so i can make the turn, i tried increasing the height but nothing
Might be the suspension is set too low? Or tires are too grippy for soft suspension.

If you've tried the time trial enough you should do the nations cup race at the top of the home screen. It's a X2019 race at the Ring

After seing ac evo nurburgring freeroam reveal today, gt7 needs to step up after ac evo comes out, they cant afford to sleep on it, for pc users it would be pointless to even think about fm 23,
TBH Assetto Corsa is not succesful om Playstation (and consoles in general) for 2 reasons:

-Lack of mods support that is what kept the original game relevant through the years
-Kunos is a small studio, with the first AC they outsourced the console versions and that caused quality issues.

Not sure how Kunos will handle ACE on consoles this time, but if they take the same approach as with the first game probably is not going to be as succesful as the PC version

Has anyone asked this question before:

Sony has been pushing for the release of old games and titles from the past 2 decades on the Playstation Stores, and we can find just about everything from the PS and PS1 era....

.... Why can't we find old GT 1, GT2, GT3 GT4 games ????
Why can't we even play them as is?

oh damn the sponsors and other Licenses right ? that must be it ? why is it so complicated ? can someone here please elaborate ? What stands in the way of getting those licenses ?
why are they people trying to make it difficult?

i think what he meant was the reverse...
with AC Evo coming out, people who have been long time fan of GT, could now graduate and leave GT and go to get a PC... (it wont be a large number either)....

the suggestion is for PD to retain customers via features and function additions.

having said that, i dont think Kaz is even concerned or care about it, even if it was the case.
Kaz just want to do his thing on PS, getting the most amount of players 7-77 to play with GT, whether those players move on to other things, he doesn't care either...

what happens on PC, iRacing or AC.... i dont think Kaz has any ill intent towards those titles.. it's just not the same philosophy.... GT is car racing that is more accessible to a wider audience, with some semblance of simulation, so it tries to avoids being Arcadey like NFS or Forza Horizon....

From my limited understanding they would have to re-pay for all of the licensed cars and music from those games again, which I imagine for some of the brands would be way more expensive than it was in 1997-2004. Not to mention it would make more sense to add a older car to GT7 if you must re-license it instead of paying for that specific car in GT2.

ACE isn't PC exclusive, its Early Acces is on PC, but after that console release has already been confirmed.
My mistake. Whenever I hear Early Access, PC only is the first thing that comes to mind.

Funny thing is I actually did the race first (when it was available) and somehow, that was...easier. Maybe having laser focus on other cars kinda distracted me for abit so it felt less insane but lapping the track by itself without worrying about other cars really hammered it home to me how nuts this combo is.

I do think it Will be different this time for ac evo, it Will bring a lot of features that the first game didin’t have, rely less on mods, more of complete base game, the nurburgring open world Will be part of the base game, witch means it will be on consoles as well when it releases.

Even through kunos is smaller they seem to be doing much more than the big giants,

If I were Kunos, I'd be really wishing January was the full release and not just Early Access.

There's a ton of hype around EVO, and it does make me think there'll be some disappointed people and some dissipation of that hype when the first EA build is, as Early Access versions always are, a smaller vertical slice rather than the full game packed with all the features they've been teasing.

(I do think full-fat EVO will be an amazing game for the record. Just not the version we get next month quite yet)

Maybe the other tyre manufacturers weren't so fond of that idea and intervened before the update dropped, which might be a bit understandable.

For instance, seeing the iconic Falken livery on Michelins is just wrong.
This is what I'm thinking. Pure speculation from me, but I wouldn't be surprised if PD deliberately pushed the Michelin sponsoring to provoke other tire manufacturers to participate (read: pay for) more in the game.

I look at it the other way, Early Access allows for (I estimate) a years worth of hype for the final release, if it's done well (and Kunos have a mixed record for that, the original AC was done well, ACC less so).

One really good example is Dirt Rally, which almost certainly wouldn't have ended up where it is today without it's early access approach. It's arguably a factor is CM getting the official WRC license.

I hope ACE is as great a game as it can be, but without VR support I won´t buy it.

Those 3 weeks I had without PSVR2 made me realize even more how boring playing flat became. It was just "a screen with dials".... And ACE could be the best game ever, but as with F124, no VR means no game.

PSVR2 GT7 has single handedly ruined all other "sims" for me.

So I bought a PS5 Slim Digital and GT7 both in the Sale as an option to have the cheapest entry to GT7 on PS5.

I actually like the FFB on the Dual sense controller. It is much better than that demo that you can try on the Demopods in stores.
The game looks pretty, a polished product. The Menu structure feels a bit complicated. I just finished the WTC world tour to finish the main " campaign" after 32 hours of total playtime.

Now I just want to mess around with some freeplay and maybe some time trials. I can do those Sophy races against the advanced A.I but I find the Emoji's very annoying. Is there a way to disable them?

I saw this the other day, but I didn't want to acknowledge it because reading the date of birth requirements made me feel incredibly old...
I just read and went "Wait, that is REALLY Young". Granted I know some countries where the drivers themselves can be insanely young, but this is barely comprehending life levels of youth. Maybe I'm just misinterpreting this.

I looked at it and probably thought about how it's one way of getting into motorsports through e-sports, then karting if that's what the competition suggests:
The winner will be eligible to receive a season of karting practice and race participation support as support for their efforts to become a racing driver.
Then again, there are some pretty young people in this e-sports scene who can put up a fight from what I seen over the years

Hit pause in a race, go to settings, display settings, third option for displaying car or driver name over the car. Switch it off.

I sense a returning DTM event is upon us...

PD must have seen player participation numbers spike during the JGTC and DTM events. Does Kudos Prime have a record of logins or percentage of players playing during the Weekly events?
