Gran Turismo 7 Livery Editor - General Discussion Thread

I'm just reiterating what I've said before previously in this thread. Still no fix for me when wanting to just paint a car. Even after the 1.12 patch. Its bizarre thing I have no decals applied anywhere on any of my vehicles. It happens with any car I pick. I pick what color I want like matte white or whatever. It'll show it on the car and I will hit apply design and it'll fluctuate between 30-33%. The background music will play but it won't go past 33 percent. I legitimately waited over 30 minutes one time to see if it would just brute force it's way through but to no avail. It's maddening because all I want to do is simply paint a car that's it. It has been happening since the beginning and the patches haven't addressed it yet I'm starting to doubt that they will. If anyone has any work arounds to this problem or have experienced the same thing please let me know.
I don't have it that bad but when I save a livery that is complex with decals it freezes the game after backing out of GT AUTO. Feel bad for ya. I don't even like driving cars if I can't paint them first.

Fairly simple design, decided to use one of the in-game fictional brands. It's supposed to be just bland, really.

Carbon Fibre. Why is this not a colour option?
Trying to edit a car (M6 endurance Gr3) that has carbon fibre wing, mirror, side skirts, and hood vents. All I want to do is paint the main body colour and leave the rest as carbon but as soon as I paint it paints all panels. I’ve tried some carbon panels but they look crap. I’m trying to wrap the side skirts back to carbon but all the carbon bits decals are square and then you end up with decals leaking onto the door panels, or on to the wings.
Why can you not wrap individual panels? I hate that I you have to get multiple decals and layer them just fill a roof to make it a different colour

I don't know if this has been asked already, but I imported some of my liveries from GT Sport and updated them. As I saved them I wanted to share them public, but I do not see an option for doing that. Is it only possible to share GT7 designed liveries?
Also I saw the option that liveries can be downloaded and are made uneditable by the original user, how to do that? (Cool option btw.)
Thanks in advance for any advice/help

Carbon Fibre.
Leave the car paint itself stock and "paint" it with a square decal colored of your choice. Ramp up depth and angle to 10.

As I saved them I wanted to share them public, but I do not see an option for doing that.
Save the style. You can then share that.

Why would you want to lock liveries? People can't re-share your work anyway and just edit stuff for their own use, i.e. change the racing number of a car or replace certain (wrong) decals with the correct ones on a replica livery.

Thx, wil try this later today

Could have thrown my controller at the TV so many times making this livery. So frustrating.
Worst thing is I quite like the livery but I hate the car drive!

Amazing work! That livery appears so simple at first but it's super complex. Amazing effort, especially given that you've absolutely nailed it!

Amazing job! Simple but looks greats. I’m still at beginner level with liveries. But the decals around the headlights and the multi colours decals around the grill and on vents etc.., I assume you made/edited these on a computer?

Thank you! I made the gradient dot pattern on my ipad yes, and I used the basic shapes to cover around the headlights.
Most of the other shapes were made using some blueprints, which I don't really like, it looks blurry/messy but I couldn't find another way to make it work.

I know exactly what you mean when you think it looks blurry or messy. I’m struggling trying to line stuff up and it really bugs me when I can’t do it. But then I think..when I’m racing Im not going to see the tiny mistake.
I’d love to do stuff like you do with the gradients but I wouldn’t know where to start.

GReddy/Trust GR Supra GT4.

Another one imported from GTS and perfected in GT7.

I'm in the process of moving over and updating/correcting about 10 or so Gr4 Supra liveries 😂 it's mainly a headache because one decal that I shared among all of them isn't available in GT7. It was a specific number board I used to use a lot and just modify it for different cars. I just used a new one that I found on GT7 which I kind of like better but it also allowed me to move the number board around and make better placement of the overall designs since I'm not trying to be sport mode friendly.

Here's one. Putting new windshield banners on all of them and moving the number to the front quarter panel and moving the main designs to be more centered on the door

That moment when you spend half your sunday on a livery and it doesn't save... 0% after 15 minutes, can't cancel can't do nothing. Disconnected from Internet, nothing. Restarted the game and everything is gone. Thank you very much PD.

Lost connection to PSN a couple times while inside the editor (it tells you in lower right corner that connection was lost) but i could still continue so i didn't think anything bad about it. When i was done with the livery it was "rendering" forever and just got stuck at 0%. Turning off my connection did absolutely do nothing. So yeah, i'd actually prefer being yeeted... lost like two hours of work there.

That's when i panically saved my design, which the game actually did before kicking me out. When I got back in the small preview-image showed the saved livery but when I loaded it every progress made was gone :banghead:
