Gran Turismo 7 Master Car List

After about all of the hours of checking and cross-referencing, I've update the car list in the Guide - not the one in the first post yet, as the format is slightly different.

There's 404 cars on that list now. Please feel free to go and check it for anything flagged in the thread I might have missed.

Oh and if anyone says "404! Car list not found! LOL!" I'll ban you until Gran Turismo 9 comes out :grumpy:
The RX-8 is shown on the license screen in the State of Play video at 9:31 as the Mazda RX-8 Spirit R '12, totally new to the series rather than the Type S that was premium before. Same screen also shows the Subaru BRZ STI Sport '18.

Must be a pain of a task to update the lists with 130 or so new cars twice though, don't envy you on that!

That's probably because you're looking at the wrong thing:

Why? I don't recall seeing it anywhere attached to a year.

I don't recall seeing it anywhere yet. If you're going to throw a random car or date correction at me, at least let me know where it is you saw it.

I have also just spotted that DS is separate from Citroen, so I'll move the DS3 out even though it was still a Citroen until 2016.
You can see subaru brz sti sport 18 at 9:30 min in state of play video

I notice the TS050 is missing from Toyota list:

Also more of a question is this Jaguar VGT from the SOL seems to be a "Hertiage" version that different from the normal and the SV model that's already on list.

That's two cars I see to be missing on the list.

I tried to figure out some of the missing cars by using the car list of GT Sport and the latest information about GT7. So I put them all in a list. It' may not be the best but in most cases I managed to figure out the codenames PD were using. There may be some mistakes and still some missing cars, so the list should be checked and corrected if necessary but I think it may help us fans have a better view of the cars to be featured in the game. In some cases I didn't go into figuring out the exact names, for example the Porsche 911, because I always had a hard time with their names. By the way, after the Porsche Cayman Gr.4 there's a car starting which I couldn't figure out what it could be. On my list there are 419 cars, not counting the upcoming cars of Genesys and the latest Porsche VGT.

The cars which have their full names, those are taken from GT Sport. And the "New" or the green cells mean that the cars were not in the complete GT Sport car list.

GT7 Car List

Edit: I just have noticed that the Master Car List is up to date. Never mind. It was great fun to work on a list though. 😅

This is actually a really good point. The widebody on the BMW turns it into effectively a different car. From the road to the Group 2 touring car. If there are any other dramatic body kits, combined with possible engine swaps and liveries, you could artificially increase the car count.
No doubt saves on licensing similar race cars.

Welcome to all new cars, where I would like to see more Daihatsu, the GTTi is a good example, more Fiat, the Dino is another example, Maserati deserved more, like all brands with only one model.
The Porsche 959 is what I really expected to see on this list,,, and many others!... as we see in other games.
A strong applause for the return of 2J, the champion of its class, a good taste for Italian cars, the Mangusta can even mitigate the lack of Miura, until it appears.

Really? It's the very first car.

Depends what you're wishing for, but there's quite a few in the forums yes.
Hi, good job for the list,

Concerning the Peugeot 205 T16, it's not a 1984 version, but the 205 T16 Evo 2 from 1986. The 1986 version is the only one to receive aerodinamic parts, front and rear spoilers.
It's the same Evo 2 from GT4/5 and 6, these games had 3 versions, the 205 T16 "street" 1985, 205 T16 "rally" 1985, and the 205 T16 Evo 2 1986.

I'll be holding my breath, perhaps the Ariel Atom is there?

This thread isn't a wishlist. We have myriad other places for that. This one is for identifying cars found in official GT7 media only.
the Mangusta can even mitigate the lack of Miura, until it appears.
The Miura has been in every game since GT5, and is still in GT7.
By the way, after the Porsche Cayman Gr.4 there's a car starting which I couldn't figure out what it could be.
Directly after the Cayman it's the Dodge Challenge R/T '70, then the Chaparral 2J and 2X VGT, then the Dodge Charger Hellcat Safety Car and regular Hellcat.
it's 205 T16 Evo 2 from 1986
👍

I'll transcribe the list over to this thread shortly, I hope.

Any other errors not previously noted, regard them as trap streets for sites that just copy our content for their own. Like the site that copied our GT7 list recently (including the obvious Ford GPW, which I put there for that reason, and forgot to remove one of the asterisks when reformatting) and the place that copied our GT Sport list verbatim which nobody in four years has spotted has a "Lecus" in it.

You know who you are.

No, not in the September trailer:

It's the Aston, Mercedes-AMG, Jaguar SV, and Lambo V12.
No, this one.
I'm interested about these findings in the September trailer:

1. At 1:22, you get to see 4 cars (Lamborghini V12 VGT, Jaguar SV VGT, Mercedes Benz VGT and Aston Martin DP-100 VGT). Anyway, in the GT Café exhibition (?) scene (1:55), the picture in the left frame reveals 5 cars (the aforementioned with slightly different positions and a mysterious yellow car in the back). It looks like a Lamborghini Diablo GT or maybe the Nissan Skyline GT500 '99 Pennzoil, but they might be an odd take for a VGT collection.

2. In the first Brighton Antiques scene (1:50), just behind Sarah title, it could be seen the Aston Martin DB5 with a couple of unidentifiable cars on its right side. The farthest one could be an Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 Lungo Berlinetta, yet the other one has a foreign shape. I suggest it could be a Shelby Cobra 427, the rumoured 550 Spyder, or even, resemble the shape of a Jaguar C-Type (except for the windshield).

Yellow car might be the EF7.

I think all GT fans have tears of joy, but only @Famine has tears trying to check each cars between videos and the list.

...and now, he says other websites try to copy the list, impossible... I think, or maybe a little bit...
I already seen some of my GTSport photos illustrating a GTPlanet article, into some other dark websites (and they still keep the "photo credit to zeptrans", so cute).

Me too. But now I'm done. Feel free to use my list as well and if it helps, GTPlanet may use that list for adding the missing cars.

GT7 Updated Car List

Edit:
Directly after the Cayman it's the Dodge Challenge R/T '70, then the Chaparral 2J and 2X VGT, then the Dodge Charger Hellcat Safety Car and regular Hellcat.

Thanks for the help. Only the Dodge Challenger R/T '70 was weird for me to be there because its codename just doesn't fit. The same goes to the Superbird and for the Detomaso Pantera. But it doesn't matter. I think the list is complete now. Anyone may use it. :)

I love it really. I used to have notebooks I wrote it all in back in the GT1 days!

Anyway, post #1 updated - I've got 415 cars and 60 manufacturers. There's a good chance there'll be something here or there not on there that should be, and there'll doubtless be a debate over whether it's a 308 GTB or GTBi (but not a QV! Heavens no!), but for now I shall...

This just looks like a list of GT Sport cars. I haven't seen the 300ZX, or the X-Bow, or the VIZIV anywhere in GT7 media. Can you let me know where you've seen them?

The RCZ, older BRZ, and Honda VGT are on the "400 Cars" image, but I must have missed them. Which is odd as I remember the RCZ very clearly...

Here's the X-Bow:

Also, I want to point out that the Ford Focus RS and Shelby GT350R are 2018 and 2016 model years, respectively, as seen in the Brand Central section.

Not counting the Genesis concepts (and the mysterious disappearance of the Fittipaldi EF7, Nissan Z32 and Red Bull X2014 Standard), we're looking at 417 cars now.

Just have to wait for the launch-day car list, hope there are a few more surprises in there.
