GRAN TURISMO 7 - RADICAL SR3 SL 2013 ONE-MAKE SERIES - LOBBY SATURDAYS @ 7:30P.M. EASTERN STANDARD TIME

Wait I can use my own cars now for the Manufacturer's Championship? You couldn't in GTS. It was the sponsored cars only. But that means I now have to buy the Gr.3 and Gr.4 Genesis G70s. And buy equipment for them.
Yeah. So if your manufacturer has more than 1 car for a class and you own them a you can run whichever 1 you want for different races. Toyota drivers have 2 cars each in gr3 and 4. It's a bit messy at the moment

And @Kermit_2142 there was a countdown timer on my screen.

I wanted to be supportive of the new Genesis manufacturer Gran Turismo is helping to get on their feet. But if I had known the way this would work in GT7. It would have chosen Dodge or Toyota as my manufacturer. Since I already own cars for both racing classes with these manufacturers.

Wait I have both the Gr.4 cars for Toyota. Does mean if I had pick Toyota. Could I have switched cars mid season.

You can pick whichever Toyota car from that class suits the track best at each round.
That's both kind of neat and messed up at same time. Because all Manufacturer that don't have that choice are at a disadvantage. Not sure if I like that part honestly.

Well at least my Gr.4 Genesis is 4WD. Just have to wish for rain at every Gr.4 race on the schedule. Anyone know a good native rain God specialist?

Given that I couldn’t see anyone on track before the race I guess it was just my turn to draw the short straw.
They did remove a lot of options but, the timer was on the screen for me too. Not sure why you couldn't see it. Reset your router and check all your settings. There's always a chance you accidentally bumped something. Best I can tell you.

Some of the ideas I had for my new league are impossible with the current lobby limitations. I wonder if some of it has something to do with the interaction between the PS4 and PS5 systems. It seems like they were trying to eliminate as many loading screens as possible.

@Kermit_2142 Yes, 30 Minutes per race. It was odd, there were all cars on track but blue arrows on the track map seemed to be one short when you mentioned you couldn't see the full HUD. You would probably have better luck as the event host. I have to reset the router before I start the lobby or else Wilso, 359 and Pigems have a hard time connecting. Probably because I have a PS4 and they have PS5's???

It's the first time PDI has made Gran Turismo for more than one console. I expected worse honestly. Not sure how far into making GT7 the idea was hatched. Probably thought up by Sony who can't keep up the PS5s in stock. And out of the scalpers hands. Which could be solved by making consoles in store purchases only and limiting how many consoles one customer can buy at one time.

P. S. Oh, there's is now a rumor of a PC version. Guess Sony wants that internet money.

I'm out as well. So long as PD thinks this is an acceptable state for their servers and lobbies to be in I'm not interested in doing any serious racing.

I'm not brave enough to deal with that at Bathurst with heavy damage.

Wimp.

I regret to announce that I will not be attending tonight's races. To much going on tonight.

Oh recommend not using wall penalties tonight. A 5 second penalty on top of car damage is is just adding insult to injury in my opinion. Gran Turismo could simply not have to use the wall penalty if light damage was as sensitive as heavy damage to impacts. Also if the purpose of the wall penalty is to prevent wall riding. The penalty detection isn't sensitive enough for that purpose. As you can get away with a minor scrape.

I will have the lobby open. It was a pleasure racing with you @Kermit_2142. Should you create a series, I would consider joining.

I was slammed multiple times last night at Brands Hatch Indy and no one was given penalties. Clearly punted of in T3 while passing for P1. Qualified 1st three times in a row to get punted off down do 10th or more. Not bothering with the Nations races tonight. Still fuming from last nights trash "etiquette". And Nations is a repeat of last weeks Toyota race but with the 919 as meta, not the GR010 or whatever it is.

Hey how is this postponement going to work. Are you moving all the races back or are you moving Mt Panorama to the end of the schedule?

This news kinda sad for me for a number of reasons. 1. I'm free tonight and maybe looking forward to boredom if no one else shows. 2. I was more looking forward to Broad Bean Raceway since I've raced so few races there. Likely I practiced some at some at both tracks. Oh by the way you may want to run x2 fuel at BB Raceway. Fuel range is very close for comfort. 3. I'm also liked that Daytona will be on the 4th of July weekend. I was going request them to be night races. So we can pretend to see fireworks at the of the races.

PDF updated. Sorry about not being on the forums as much. New job and other responsibilities have taken up a lot of time.

I'm also not very keen on GT7 anymore. Unable to practice the past few weeks and decided to opt out of the GTWS and Toyota Championships. Cramming in races without practice hoping for rank 200 or higher in the region only to find out that its top 32 finalists, not top 200 per region. Sony's way to keep familiar faces at the events with little chance for newcomers to gain the sponsorships. Not to mention the absence of a valid penalty system due to the difference in performance between the PS4 and PS5 consoles. Getting slammed off to watch the dirty cheat drive off without so much as a -0.500 Second Penalty doesn't sit well with me. Punting someone off like that in GT Sport was -8 to -10 Seconds easily.

Instead of worrying about it I've chosen to stop "participating". A.C.C. and a few other games are better in my opinion. The truth is I didn't have internet when playing them. Shutdown happened, sim racing and online gaming exploded, and I watched it all from an internet dead-zone as people with names eerily similar to mine show up out of nowhere and start racing and winning online and in real life races.

Anyway, I really hope attendance improves over then next few weeks.

Well then I'm very sorry to announce I might not be available for next Saturday. Broad Bean Raceway was one of the races I was most interested in too.
