I'm pretty sure the flashing gear indicator signaling a braking zone, if you rely on that, flashes a fraction of a second earlier now, giving you enough time to react as opposed to being half a second too late.
I haven't tested it myself, but I have found this to be incredibly variable (pre this update) based on the car, track, tyres and corner - so it may be difficult to test/ prove.

It is indeed still variable. On Lake Louis it practically starts flashing before you enter the race 🤣 In Ferrari challenge at Dragon Trails for example it flashes pretty well but I only tested with a stock F8 Tributo, however I do remember it being late at this combo previously, but maybe I'm misremembering.

Pretty sure this has been in the game since launch.
I could be wrong, memory failing me at the moment! But I think you had to click the GT icon which opened up a menu, then scroll to the bottom of the menu to return to homepage.

I haven't tried the new update yet, hopefully it is just a one click process now

Edit : I read the OP message wrong, they do mention the menu.
This feature has been there since launch, apologies

I think some races have had the opponents updated to use appropriate DLC cars.

One example is that the Sunday Cup Classic race at Maggiore that's been in the game since launch now has Gallo using the 60s Alfa we got a few months ago.
A non-exhaustive list of these updated opponents that I've noticed by event as follows (I've only checked events that were in the game day 1 as update events did have DLC cars):

  • Sunday Cup at Maggiore Central has a Cappuccino now, other races are unchanged
  • Sunday Cup Classic at all three initial races has a Giulia and a Citroen DS now
  • Japanese FF 450 has no changes
  • European Sunday Cup 400 has no changes
  • Japanese FR 450 at Tsukuba has a 2021 BRZ now, at High Speed Ring has a Kenmeri and an NR-A Roadster now. Tokyo is unchanged
  • European Sunday Cup 500 has no changes
  • American FR 550 has a C1 Corvette now
  • American Sunday Cup 600 has a C1 Corvette and the Charger from this update now
  • Japanese Clubman Cup 550 has a 2021 BRZ now
  • Japanese 4WD 600 has the 2004 Impreza, the R32 Nismo and the GR Corolla now
  • European FR 550 has the M2 now
  • European Clubman Cup 600 has no changes I could see
  • Pickup Truck I didn't check, I assume nothing new
  • American Clubman Cup 700 has a C8 Corvette now
  • I'm bad at remembering which Porsches are DLC, but there's at least a road Cayman in the Porsche Cup now so there's probably others
  • Race of Turbo Sportscars has the new Giulia and the Sierra Cossie and the 400R
  • Schwarzwald League has the road Cayman and the 992 GT3
  • The GT-R Cup has the R32 Nismo and the 400R
That's all I've got time to check, but yeah, definitely a re-distribution of opponent cars.

I hope the dirt is for all tracks , The other dirt tracks don't get your car dirty for some reason but going off road on willow will get your car super dirty. In fact that track and le mans gets your car gunky after a few laps. Even if you never go off road .

-Now there is a countdown added for “auto return to track” when you go off the track.
-Some cars’ cluster panel are working fully, showing real-time engine temp etc…Porsche gt3 rs is a good example.
I saw that countdown last update. Good QOL change because I’d always get reset while making button inputs and subsequently crashing.

UI in VR still basically the same. Not sure if new, but your position in race has a background to make it more readable, and that's all I noticed.
