All new events done, all new cars obtained, plus obtained the only two available Porsches (paid $20 because I didn't wanna jack with it any longer).
The PP system has always been a headache. Now I can't sacrifice ride height to be able to put my Crappucino in the Kei Car Enduro after an engine swap. Oh well. Wait...this thing is just flowing with power... maybe it can run everyone down in the Kyoto Enduro... and win by half a stupid second! Does the AI EVER pit!?
It's decent. The patch, I mean. It's decent, but it won't change the world or anything.
AND... my truck doesn't have a lady's name, lol!

Oh, for what it's worth, even after the MTX I still have a few games that cost me more than GT7:
Virtual On: Operation Moongate was roughly $120 in 1997.
Shining Force 3 Episode 1 cost me over $300 last year.
Bounty Bob Strikes Back cost me $750 earlier this year.
I see it like playing in an arcade, though, you put money in periodically.
Now I might not spring for GT8, I might go to some classic wipEout instead or finally finish up extreme-G.

Also I find it interesting that the negative posts get more likes and reactions than the positive ones. I think that says enough about the community at this time.
It suggests the community in general is fed up of the game and what PD are delivering. I have nothing against positive opinion on GT7, but at the same time the negative opinion isn't without merit and if people aren't happy then they aren't happy and should be freely able to express that.

Not only that. But we live in a world where ppl are happy to spend ridiculous amount of money for crap their favorite brand builts.

These ppl are the reason why some brand don't give a f about ppl.

Take Apple for example, the 900usd cost to add wheel into your MAC (wheel you can get for 40usd in any normal store)

Same for microtransaction, ppl spending huge amounts of money for pay to win games... or get stupid skins

I mean geees, get some critical thinking you bunch of sheep. There's a lot of reason to not be happy and this is normal

And they're screaming at a brick wall.

Missing the point.
No, you're missing the point. You're suggesting people are wasting their time compaining as no one is listeninig. People are quite clearly listening, you for one. Will it change the development of GT7's future plans? Who knows.

There is evidence it has impacted them in the past. But does that even need to be the case to be able to express a negative opinion? No. Are people perfectly capable, willing and free to discuss negative opinions on something? Yes.

Do you have a right to feel positive about the game? Yes. Do you have a right to express positive opinions on the game? Yes. Is your right greater than that of those with negative opinions? No, they're equal.

After the release i was in the little camp of people that said it was ok like it was. I didn't understand people complaining that much. I was even vocal about that.

This turned around over the month as i saw how little it would take to have a far superior product and PD doing nothing about it.

I would suggest (i mean do what you want, i don't want to forbid anything ;-) ) that people not having any problems with the state of the game hold back on this discussions as they shouldnt be very interested in it.

People complaining definately have a point even if the rage and lack of understanding PD overwhelms us from time to time. :-)

OK so this update is a bit bland. However! I'm happy they added Rotary support for the Fanatec wheels. I was shopping for a new wheel yesterday and almost went for the McLaren wheel, because the rotaries wouldn't work on the Clubsport anyway. Now it seems it will work, which is cool.

Same here. I enjoyed the game for a while though I keep on watching on how PD is handling the issues. The idea was to try to enjoy the game even with it's flaws. It was in July when I started to feel the issues have grown bigger and couldn't be ignored while PD's effort is lackluster.

Shutting out one side of the debate won't help. Having only negative posts will just lead to people citing it as evidence that the game is universally hated. As long as people respect one another's opinion (or just that they are allowed to have their own opinion), then there is no problem with having both positive and negative here. FWIW, I'm sitting on the fence at the moment - some good, some bad, some bafflingly dumb things (like not even mentioning the engine swaps added in the updates, they are great fun and people have no idea they even exist).

I would say as well as lacklustre, its deliberately planned, a greedy strategy of having your cake and eating it with the MTX's of a free to play title in a full price game. Im betting if this game was free to play they would have made a fortune off of MTX and it would be more legitimate to do it. Greed is insatiable, and to facilitate it they have made a fun game really quite unpalatable the longer you play it. If they weren't regulated this game would be loot boxed to the hilt with all those engine parts, and probably would have you gambling on the outcomes of the world series too. The forum might not directly create substantive changes to this greedy behaviour, but if there was a groundswell of opinion / subsequently less people buy the game at launch next time then they will take some notice.

So I was quite excited about the prospect of a new update yesterday. Like a lot of people I was a bit dissapointed. But I did win an engine to put into my ford roadster so that was a plus, if only in a straight line. I enjoyed the wtc 800 race at tokyo. All in I am not sure what I was hoping for but I'm pretty sure I didn't get it. The worst part of the new update is that the game now crashes after every race. So now, despite the fact that I do really enjoy the game, I have to find something else to play. Any suggestions would be welcome. GT is the only race game I have tried. The f1 2022 could be fun but perhaps a bit limited.

If you want some arcade action, Grid Legends is worth a try and EA Play have a very cheap 1 month offer in most regions at the moment. Forza Horizon 5 is fantastic and you don't need an Xbox - I stream it with GPU on my iMac. Wreckfest is another good option, the vehicle physics are surprisingly good and varied for a demolition derby game.

Ive been hearing good things about assetto corsa competizione after its latest update so ive ordered that as an alternative. Grid legends is fun for a few weeks, Project cars 3 has a really good track roster and you can play with all vehicles straight away, Wreckfest is brilliant fun and dirt 2.0 is really cheap. As for F1 2020 or 2019 are your best options it doesn't change much, and next year there are more tracks added to the calendar so this year's entry at full price is bad idea.
