If these are the events...DISAPPOINTMENT...
No championships and no car focused events.....
👎 👎 :banghead: :banghead: 🤡 🤡
Adding meaningful events..

But there's so many, many great European and Asian tracks not in game.
Yeah, even if we limit it solely to courses previously seen in GT, like Silverstone, the Goodwood Hillclimb, the Monaco GP, the Ascari Race Resort, and Twin Ring Motegi. Then there are courses beyond those areas, like Kyalami, the Dubai Autodrome, or Phillip Island. And this is all while I'd be most excited to see either the return of Twin Ring Motegi, or the debut of Lime Rock Park.

EDIT: Not to mention that for reasons beyond my understanding, the west layout of Suzuka has been absent for a good while. I truly miss it...

I think I found someone who kind enough to share the far more complete patch notes.

If I’m not wrong, there are list of new events and VRR options

At 0:36 sec there are five lines ending in “1hour”. Anyone able to translate those lines?

“Vehicle behavior system” is very concerning. Here’s hoping they didn’t ruin how cars feel when driving or the changes aren’t so drastic you basically have to learn how to drive your favorites all over again.

This could potentially result in horrible handling, similar to how they updated the damage awhile back that they ultimately needed to fix by dialing way back in a subsequent update because their “improvement” to it was garbage.

From what I can gather, we've got:

- 4 new events: a WTC 800 at the Nurburgring, a Japanese 4WD 600 at the Nurburgring and Tokyo Expressway, and a Porsche Cup at Kyoto.

- 2 new extra menus: one for Toyota family cars, and one for the Ford GT lineup.

- Some new cafe conversations for a bunch of cars, but who genuinely cares about those anyway
Interesting. I bet the Toyota family car menu will feature the new Alphard, but also the Prius and the Crown. The Ford GT menu seems a lot easier to determine, with my guess being the original GT40, the '06 GT, and the '17 GT. I wonder what the rewards will be? I could see one of the three Gr.3-spec GTs being a reward for the latter, just as you get the Honda-engined SF19 for the recent Honda Motorsports menu. For the Toyota family car menu, my bet is a five-star ticket, or maybe a six-star parts ticket.

I'm also real happy that a DTM racer is coming to Gr.2 - I didn't think it'd actually happen. Hopefully the cars from Mercedes-AMG, Aston Martin, and BMW are coming as well.

I don't mind the new Nurburgring layouts, either, especially since they were last seen in the PS3 era. Maybe Suzuka west could return some day, after all.

Personally, I'm also excited to see the latest quintet of engine swaps. I don't know if I already mentioned this ITT, but I was thinking the LS9 from the C6 ZR1 could go into the Pontiac GTO Judge or perhaps the Corvette C2, while the D1GP BRZ engine could go into the 2019 GR Supra, and then the 2JZ could go into the 2020 iteration. Finally, the Aventador SV engine could go into either the Countach LP400, the Diablo GT, or perhaps even the Miura Prototype.

Something's not clear, is April 4 the day the SF23 are actually going to be released in the game or is it just the day it was planned to be "formally" announced?
April 4 seems to be the announcement day from the Super Formula side.

“Other events have also been changed, including the track locations for the “Pickup Truck Race”, which will now take place at Willow Springs, Daytona International Speedway, and Colorado Springs.”

What do you mean by that? It’s already taking place at those 3 locations.

Surprise new feature for me are the 2 extra Nurburgring layouts, i didn’t expect this right after the Grand Valley update. A pitty they forgot about the Müllenbachschleife though, that little Nurburgring area is perfect for low PP cars.

I wonder if we have to redo all the circuit experience and license tests now that their settings are changed and leaderboards wiped (assuming time requirements will also be changed to reflect the new state of the game compared to launch)?

Or if we just keep our previous results.

Haven’t been wiped after earlier physics/suspension changes. Probably no different here.

Edit, scratch that, I saw some patch notes indicating wiped leaderboards in another thread. Sorry.

Yeah PD has explicitly indicated that leaderboards will be wiped this time around.

Long overdue considering all the physics changes since launch. But I wonder if this mean our results themselves will be invalidated or just the leaderboard records...

Just wondering why they are going backwards spending time refreshing old events, the Human Comedy events, Course Experience are one and done on payouts, instead of adding additional new ones that can be repeated.
(maybe the stats show only a small portion of the player base has completed?)

120Hz and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is something my TV does support.

Awesome, what a great update, I can only applaud, how good you are Kaz. We are already nervous thinking about the wonderful that you will present to us in the May update, thank you all. Thanks gtplanet for the info.

So we will can win credits again in the mIssions, licenses and circuit experience?

I better not have to do my license tests again. I have two left. They can suck my ass if they reset me.
They did this in GTSport and you kept the gold, silver or bronze award but you couldn’t earn any more credits. All that will happen will be you won‘t have a PB for these events anymore

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.31 Details: 120Hz + VRR, New Cars, Events, Track Layouts, Physics Changes, and More

The full details of Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.31 update have leaked from Japan, and it’s a big one. Although it might not have the major headline features we saw in the last update, 1.31 still brings a wide variety of changes and new content...
Hey, just wanted to let you know that there is a typo under the Legendary Cars Price Adjustments section, where, within the section, a “Y” is missing, “As was announced last year, Gran Turismo has partnered with Hagerty to bring dynamic pricing to GT7’s Legendar Cars dealership.”

Just read the full leaked details for this coming update and WOW. I have a feeling there is going to be a huge uptick in people annoyed and angry with the game after the update goes live. Sounds like there will be significant changes to many aspects of the actual racing, tunes, strategies and PP points for cars.
I am fully prepared to have to mess with all of my tunes for specific PP restricted events and adjust tune and pit strategies once again in regards to tire wear from the sound of it.
I also read a statement specifically regarding Tokyo 600 event and it made me think they’re nerfing the Escudo (and maybe even AMG Black) exploit tunes.
