@Famine , from the article ...
This stars the movie-liveried GT-R GT3, requiring you to lap the Red Bull Ring as fast as possible. There’s double the prize money of a usual time trial, so if you can set a time within 3% of the global world record you’ll earn two million credits.
2 million credits is the standard reward for Gold (3% of WR time) in the weekly time trials. Still a decent reward, but if you wanted to correct the article.

I nailed my Maserati price prediction, but well overshot the Corvette one, mostly because the in-game car is (likely) the standard dual-carb model (the in-game hp/torque numbers are closest to the standard dual-carb engine) rather than the dual-carb model with the hot camshaft or either of the fuel-injected models. Still, it could have been worse - there also was a single 4-barrel carb model.
Wondering what is with the extra gauges?
Judging by various YouTube videos, those are from the factory.

Meh, issue with triggers and stuttering is still there :s Also, I've lost hope for anything more than 4/5 events each update, time to move forward and finish other games.

Yea, agree with most that this is underwhelming. Two cars available now, and two cars behind a 'bribe-wall.' You want them early, then you have to sign up for our stuff! Whatever.

Before its official release, Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO Edition '22 car will be available for you to sample in Round 7 of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup (TGR GT Cup) on August 27. It will also be available for test drives in practice mode once the server maintenance on Monday, August 7 has been completed. Also, players who enter the TGR GT Cup and register a time in the Points Ranking (any round) using their Online ID, will receive this car as a gift. The car will be delivered on August 28. It will also be available to purchase from Brand Central in late September.
Per the patch notes, for those who are participating in the Toyota Cup can drive the Corolla now (albeit at one track), however, you do not get the car until after the Atlanta event is over. We all get how that works. But a derivative part of that is for the RA race, you wont be able to do any custom paint colors or liveries... I hate when all the cars look basically identical.

At least we get a free GTR (even if it is just for promotional purposes) which I'll promptly be selling for the 125k or whatever it's worth.

Of course it feels lacking. Extra wait for an update that brings 2 cars + an additional 2 stretched out over the month at one-time availability. Until the end of September. 4 races, all with pathetic rewards, all based on the same rulesets we already had.

This update doesn't do much new, doesn't bring much old, and is meant to fill a 3 month period.
The new engine swaps arent exactly exciting either,to me that is.Why lock a car released with this update until the end of Sept is beyond me.

Except you can't sell that one as it's DLC. You can sell the one(s) you bought (or won through the Wheel of Despair) though.

As for the price, I'd sell now - the 213,730 Cr. it's worth at this moment is just off the 2-week high.

Not surprised by the update content. The rule rather than the exception has been that have been lacking. I don't expect much so I'm never disappointed. Kind of sucks how they time gated 2 vehicles. I was looking forward to doing Jeeps, Buses and Vans! 😓 I guess I will have to wait on that. Oh well what can you do 🤷🏾‍♂️

Added a new zoom layer to the weather radar. I assume more zooming out than in so that's a good thing. :-)
Nope
Weather appears to move slower tho, at least on the Nordschleife

The new weather radar zoom is 100km from centre to edge; the previous most zoomed out version was 50km.
Always been 150km

They are unrealistically quick moving because of shorter races and time compression. If you set time compression to 1x in custom race you will have realistic weather pattern.
Race duration determines weather speed, not time advance speed.

In brand central, the new livery for the Nissan GTR was already showing "acquired" even before I clicked on the banner to obtain it.

Can I require it in some other way then? Or why do pd advertise its in the update …
All of the information you want on this topic is in the article on GTPlanet's front page right now - and posted on the previous page. And the article from Friday.

Like the special picks on LCD/UCD. Missed the R32 Nismo from a couple of months ago. Got that, the MC20, Corvette, Jaguar VGT from a roulette through the menus and a GTR in movie trim. Productive.

69 Camaro engine swap.......So you can make the car even more powerful but still cannot equip it with a roll cage. Dumb.
You'll be safe without one... it is not Wreckfest. Just kidding, but I understand why they would prioritize a change that affects gameplay above one that doesn't.

Why has PD seemingly stopped adding new Menu Books on a regular basis? GT Sport has some nice event themes that still haven’t carried over to GT7, which is getting really absurd at this point:

All Japan GT Car Championships
Clio Cup
Compétition de France
Lamborghini Cup
Mazda Roadsters Cup
Midship Challenge
MINI Challenge
Nostalgic 1979
Passion of Dr. Wankel (Rotary engines)
Real Circuit Tours
Supra Legend
Tourist Trophy (Audi TT)
Z Heritage
World Hatchback Championship

To name a few… Instead we keep getting a myriad of those boring Extra Menus, which contain absolutely zero gameplay. And the few events they are adding are just more of the same events from previous Menu Books.

Hate to say this, but so far, this update feels lacking in so many ways.

Surprised? No different to every other update released so far.
