With regard to the ambulance do you think we will have the option to turn the siren off?

I noticed in the PlayStation chanel video it had the sirens blaring away, if I am gonna do races with it I hope one of the buttons will turn the siren off and just have the lights like with the GTR Pace Car of old games?

Is there any mention about that anywhere yet?

No idea, can you enable/disable sirens in pace cars? I'd wager the HIMEDIC siren works the same way.
If we are lucky, we get a button to operate the sirens so they're not constantly blaring, but regarding the emergency lights...

We've had drivable safety car(s) since GT4 and not once in any game so far, have we been given the option to turn the emergency lights on/off while we drive.

We did have the option to add/remove the emergency lights from the BMW M4 thru GTAuto in GT5(6?) thou.

The patch notes mention "Various sounds have been added to the Toyota Ambulance Himedic '21", so by virtue of that you would assume there must be a way to toggle between them (with off being one of the toggle settings).

I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a siren/lights toggle switch, as it’s not even possible to operate headlights at free will. Only in Scapes mode. :grumpy:

You can? You just can’t turn them off at night (only toggle between full and dipped)

Was I mishearing or do Japanese ambulance sirens also have speech warnings?

At the end of the trailer you can hear 'This is an emergency', or something very similar.

Edit: Oh right, this must be it.

Are you saying it’s possible to toggle between headlights on / off in daylight? All I get is flashing long beams and the game dictates the rest.
Yeah you can assign that to a button via the controller config in options.

Edit: no you can’t

No you cant turn the headlights on and off at will in the daytime you can only toggle High/low Beams or Toggle Flash and toggle High/low Beams.

And that only works if your inside a tunnel or its raining and the highlights are already on.

Ah I see, apologies will edit the post so no one’s confused

If you set a button to "Flash and Toggle High/Low Beams," instead of the default "Flash High Beams" option, you can turn the emergency lights on a safety car on and off at will. I've been doing it since GT Sport days. Sorry to inform you that you've been missing out.

I’m going to check this out now because I was certain I could turn the headlights off with my G29. There’s not enough buttons on the dual sense

It would still have been a bad update if there was a new track. More cars and circuits hardly help the game when the average update only adds 3-5 recycled events.
I believe they should just fix sim stuff, add some new features I had mentioned and others have mentioned and start including a track or two with those updates. It’s been awhile since we got a new track. Tracks breathe new life into the game in my opinion.

Does anyone have some frame drops on PS5 in quality mode ?
I've noticed it on various tracks and I can't remember have noticed it before

I noticed always in like Kyoto if you set it so you get sunrise or sunset during a race it chugs hard in some corners. Of course there’s always been something up with Deep Forest coming out of the the first tunnel, it locks up pretty bad there.

Most will call me crazy but I’m almost 100% sure GT7 looked better on release. And the game loaded way way way faster than it ever does for me now.

The C1 Corvette sounds unusual for a V8 engine. Where’s the deep rumble?
There isn’t one. It’s an old-ass, low compression, mechanical fuel injected engine designed in the post-war era with tolerances so wide you can almost hear the pistons slapping the cylinder walls. All cars back then sounded like boats under water.

I don’t know, it’s music to my ears. I don’t think they have a lot of the old cars sounding quite right. The preview startup when selecting in the garage is always close but driving them they don’t sound loud enough or raw enough.

The one in the game is (likely) the mild-cam dual-carb version, as the engine specs are closest to that real-world engine.

Unfortunately that is incorrect.

Just tried it out with the GT-R safety car both in singleplayer time trial and online lobby.

Doesn't matter if I assigned the 'Flash headlights' option or the 'Flash headlights and toggle high/low beams', neither made any difference to the emergency lights.

But if you have contradicting evidence, I'm more then happy to be proven wrong.

The current rate of acceptable payout 🤠
I guess he never did the one hour Spa / 24h.
Just to explain to him: when you win that race, what is really easy to do, you'll receive 1.000.000 plus the 500.000 clean drive bonus. Doesn't matter how often you crashed into other cars or walls, you always get this bonus there.

I think he knows that…

But a lot of us would like variety in our races with decent payouts. The credits should be relative to the amount of time and effort required.

You know like every other GT game before GT7

Yeah that's one of the reasons (there are too many reasons...) that made me stop playing this game for months. I am doing everything to make this game fun to my nine year old son (but even he is annoyed by the outdated cars, no qualityings, and stuff).

But if he wants a car in GT7, he have to earn it by himself. That's when he do the 24h Spa race, and wins by ease because the AI in this game is so stupid... (AI forgot to pit, took the wrong tires in rain, slowing down after a while to let him pass, ...)

Instead of having a Proper GT League or having longer Races we are getting a Ambulance...Oh Boy....
More like PD is prioritizing GTWS above those things and that ambulance is just a carrot on a stick to make people care and click on the livestream. Otherwise, have fun waiting nearly two months to drive it if you don’t accept the bribe.
