Its getting harder and harder to predict the updates, have been so off latest months, now we cant even rely much on datamine list only few has been added from there lately, i am still happy we get suprices, and maserati mc20 will be a great addition to the game for supercar lineup, i wish they have skipped the van through, and instead of that it would be better off With something in the lines off Lexus lfa or dodge challanger demon been waiting for ever for those,

The lexus lfa is in the tomica town scape. Dont loose hope

I think some people need to manage their expectations a bit with the GT7 car selections...

Yes, I don't think most of us will be using the Himedic (Kazbulance?) that much 2 weeks after the update drops (hell, I can't even play the game at the moment, my PS4 died earlier this year and I'm saving up to pick up a PS5 with GT7 in autumn), but don't forget that having weird cars is part of what makes GT games special.

I have to agree that with the current crazy high standards and even crazier development times PD has, it can sound tempting to think an emergency vehicle is a waste of time and resources when most of the community would rather have different types of cars. But the problem isn't the vehicle itself, it's the lack of a gamemode/event where that vehicle belongs and can be used. Even if it is a one-make race or series like in previous GT titles.

We are all in the same boat here, no one is 100% right or wrong with their car wishlists/preferences, but please, understand that GT7 isn't a super competitive race sim, it's a love letter to cars that desperately needs changes to how its gamemodes and progression system work. So be reasonable with your expectations and be nice to each other.

PS: just a quick personal take, I know PD has a very close partnership with Toyota but having 2 Toyotas in a 4 car update is a bit too much imo, especially when there are relevant manufacturers missing from the game...

"Yes custom races offers a fantastic sandbox to create those missed events you keep referring to, if you're still lazy then refer to the great thread here and try replicate them, it's easy you don't have to do any thinking just like your daily life! copy other peoples settings and away you go!
Yes the payouts are rubbish we can all agree but I thought this was a driving simulator not monopoly".

And as stated in my post - something you have conveniently ignored - why is it up to the player to do this? You don't have to do this in Assetto Corsa, Grid, Project Cars, Metropolis Street Racer, Forza, Need for Speed...

I didn't ignore it, you just can't seem to read. I've addressed it in our previous encounter as well which you seemed to ignore a lot of points in that, and now you're ignoring points here.

"why is it up to the player to do this?" - Com on man seriously? they're allowing people freedom to make their own races alongside the existing races they have, I can 100% guarantee if they didn't have custom race option you'd be complaining that we don't have the freedom to do so...

There are plenty of races already in GT7 that PD have done for you, if you want more than that you have the custom races.
You're making it out as if there are no races at all which is just not true.
You don't have to do this in Assetto Corsa, Grid, Project Cars, Metropolis Street Racer, Forza, Need for Speed...
Yeah and they have the same amount of races as GT7, have you actually looked at them
Quite frankly your argument has no merit.

Next thing you'll want PD to hold your hand and drive the cars for you.

There are plenty of races, but there's not plenty of championships. Again, a list have been provided, care to counter?

You said the other titles have the same amount of races? Go ahead, list them. You say my argument had no credit, here's the microphone, prove it.

And no, PD driving cars for us is not wanted... Unless you are referring to B-spec mode, which was awesome.

oh so now I must find the information for your statements... well done... that's not how it works

But let's roll with it then NFS unbound has 200 activities,
as of update 1.31 there were 200 events for GT7, there are more now,
For ACC you can look here for 19 events which is quite a lot less than GT7.
Grid Legends has the “Driven to Glory” campaign that has 36 races.
PC2 has 130 races, of which are tracked on this very forum.

I truly believe the game is at a point where people are trying to make light of every single thing they can to alleviate the frustration from PDs priorities sometimes. Because based on the complaints and frustration I've seen before in the past over some of the new additions, it seems everyone has just accepted whatever is at this point.
Not me, career is garbage and I'm still sad about it

Instead of adding real life Porsche GT3 car, they add a goofy suzuka VGT, yes let that sink in. Thr problem is that instead of adding a proper cars, 10% of the car roster in GT7 is utter garbage. I wonder who bought that Mini VGT for 1KK credits

If you are saying the argument has no value it is up to you to back it up. Can you imagine someone criticising an environment scientist by simply going "you're wrong the environment had changed for thousands of years" ? No, they'd be expected to refer to how strong the collection of O Zone at the end of the iodosphere is compared to when records began and even further into micro analysis

Also, you reference activities. I referenced championships, so please, do enlighten me further. You have made the claim, please substantiate it.

You haven't provided anything for any of your points... I've had to find it for you

I've literally proved you are inaccurate on all of your points.

Jeeps, Buses, and Vans oh my! I love the ambulance coming to the game it will some crazy custom races. I can do a Jeeps, Buses, and Vans series with the Willy, the Sambabus (swapped of course), Alphard and the new ambulance van. Here we come Fuji raceway 🤣. Life is too short to spend so much time complaining. I love GT but I'm not blind it has declined steady since GT5. I don't expect anything different from the next GT so I am going to enjoy it for what I can.

Have you? Show me where you've shown the championships, endurance races, etc. I can't see that, aside from two games, I listed many others.

Also you're referring to butthurt, is that what you internalise for any form of critique? It seems you have a rather immature viewpoint on the world.

Might I remind you... you said this:

all you listed were some names of games with nothing to back it up. in fact any of your messages have nothing to back them up, you think silhouettes have tracks in them for christ sake

From prior form, the silhouettes have been a large part of the content. Perhaps accompanied by a new "menu" but that is not really enough to elevate it above a drip feed update.

Perhaps you will be right and there will be tracks and more. Which, had you said from the off, may have averted any unnecessary hostility from you.

Consider that in the future. I don't expect to be wrong, if I am, cool, be interesting what is added.

Again to be frank... you're an idiot
GT7 is way below the expected numbers of events for a GT numbered game. Maybe not for a game of today, but when you have the name Gran Turismo and a number after it, people expected more events, series and championships.

It’s off topic but: this game feels unfinished with regards to events to many of the player base.

I’m looking forward to the Maserati and mildly the Toyota purely as im in the championship

But... we have the 911 RSR and the 911 GT3 RS in game... I know none of them are a "proper" Porsche GT3 car but you can't really say that's a priority when these cars have their own spots in game. About the VGTs, you can't really compare them to anything else, especially in a case like Suzuki, VW or Peugeot when they create an oportunity for a Gr.3/Gr.4 car that wouldn't exist otherwise.
They aren't my personal choice either, but they represent such a small part of the in-game cars that I really don't care, I have only used them in Sport mode and I can live without most of them, and tbh the GT series isn't a stranger to concept cars, it's just that they look different nowadays.

I may be in the minority or even a very quiet majority that thinks this is a great car line up for the update. A real mix. A sports car, a hyper car, a vintage car and a wacky vehicle. I plan on driving all 4 of them and I am looking forward to the liveries on the HiMedic. People doing the reverse of usual and turning an emergency vehicle into a safety car!

^MC20 is not a hypercar. Not remotely. It looks great, but compared to it's peers that's about it. It doesn't sound great, it's overweight, and it's outclassed in every performance dimension by a plain jane (relatively speaking) 911 Turbo.

I find it odd that the Morizo is listed as a 2022 model. I know the world doesn't revolve around the US but no Morizos were delivered in the US before March of this year. I wasn't aware that deliveries in Japan were that much earlier. Also it's my understanding that the Morizo being added to GT7 is LHD, which would mean it's 100% a USDM car with a 2023 MY designation, lol.
Pretty sure the ambulance will be the most popular car in the game for livery creators. We'll also get lots of meme races with 'em.

Personally I haze zero interest in US muscle cars, be it from the 50's upto the present day. But I understand there's a big community for them.

The GR Corolla will be one of my most used cars. The MC20 looks interesting as it's not massively overpowered like so many modern supercars.
Point of clarification here. The Corvette has never been (nor is it now) a muscle car. And for the MC20, I'm curious to see what curb weight it comes in at in GT7. IRL Maserati massively lied about it's weight - it's several hundred lbs heavier than stated.
Surprised not too many are welcoming the new Vette. The van is understandable but the Corvette is iconic. I thought Corvettes were generally welcomed. The C1 almost completes the Corvette family in GT7 and is a must have in any Corvette collection.
The C1 Vettes were crap when it came to performance. That may have something to do with the lack of enthusiasm.
You don't get it, do you? The way people drive in online races I am simply surprised it took them so long to add an ambulance. Next update I hope they add a trauma helicopter
I'm waiting for service dogs.
I mean...ambulances are supposed to be driven fast and thrown around alot so at least it makes more sense than the Alphard. 😂
I remember reading an interview were Kaz talked about liking emergency service cars and wishing to find a way to add them to GT
I don't know about in your country, but here in the US the ambulances sure as hell are not thrown around a lot (lol) or driven particularly fast. That's not how things work (again, here at least).

Car additions are a snooze fest imo. I’m not expecting the corrolla to be anything different than the Yaris, atleast you can swap the Yaris. The wambulence could be fun if you can swap in a 2jz or 3uz. Hoping for new tracks and new swaps to save the update.
