Hmm, no datamine cars eh? That rules out the RX-7, Yellowbird and the Lancia I predicted. Oh well.

I'm leaning towards the Espace F1 too, there's been a lot of hype around lately just like there was lots of hype around the GT-ONE before that was added. Makes me wonder if someone knows something.

Either of the '98 R390 or 911 GT1 would be excellent choices. We're long overdue a classic racing car.

Perhaps another Volvo or Škoda? Neither of those two manufacturers have had another car added since they were first introduced to the game. Perhaps it's finally time for the Škoda 1100 OHC '57 to make it's racing game debut...

Since we are going with the theme of “not datamine cars”, I’ll go with these 6 as I feel that will be how many cars appear in the next content update:

  • Nissan R390 GT1 ‘98 (would complete the original Gran Turismo 3 holy trinity and being a popular race car in the series only emphasizes any reason for it to return).
  • Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) ‘04 (would finally fill out the Corvette generations and as this was a premium in Gran Turismo 6, I feel it has a relatively strong chance of returning).
  • McLaren P1 ‘13 (would complete the original hypercar holy trinity and if the GTR variant can appear, then I think the chance of the road-going version appearing is a good one).
  • Pagani Zonda Cinque ‘09 (a bit left-field but I can see Pagani having another car added at some point and perhaps Polyphony Digital would like to keep the theme of mid/late 00’s supercars being added of which that’s why I could potentially see this one but I’m not entirely optimistic).
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII ‘01 (2 things: yes I know Mitsubishi themselves don’t particularly like this car and yes, the Evo VIII was added in the previous update so would seem very unlikely to have back-to-back Evo’s and yet, Polyphony Digital may throw a curveball and this would be just that; and would be a generation filler).
  • Renault Espace F1 ‘94 (with all the recent speculation and how it would be 30 years old now, perhaps this could be the opportune time to add it in order to attract new players due to its quirkiness and madness behind it).

This is not a wishlist, but neither is a prediction

But this is the type of curved ball Kaz could do:
An old 95 year old F1 Audi for the road....
