I predict the update is coming on Thursday 14th. That would be around 1 month before the December's one (last year came on 14th December, so 12th or 19th this year), 1 week after the PS5 Pro release, and last day of Viper's Time trial (probably one car of the update will replace as the next time trial...)
Still think this week. Given GT7 was one of the few games used to show off the PRO’s capabilities it would be a weird look to not have the patch ready for launch.
The online discussion would be dominated by “looks the same” posts by people who don’t know the game hasn’t been patched yet.

Weird post maybe ? It should not be the only content ?

You’d think Kaz would be in Japan if PD was to release the PS5 Pro update and possibly more in the next few days. But as far as I can tell he is standing at the foot of an European mountain.

Why would it be necessarry for him to be in Japan though? I am pretty sure GT7 was one of the earliest games to be working on the PS5 Pro.
I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary for him, but it would only seem reasonable not to travel when your studio is having a big release. So I’m thinking it might not be this week.

That's a stretch my man.
Maybe, but it’s also becoming a stretch to expect a GT7 update for the PS5 Pro launch when there’s still no confirmation on that front, and Kaz isn’t exactly feeding the hype by posting random things which indicate he’s on vacation, or something else low-key. I hope I’m wrong, but I’d hate to build up anticipation for something that remains as speculation with only three days to go.

Kaz isn't exactly a hype man though. Don't know why he would change that for a patch that enables Ray Tracing during gameplay..

His silhouettes are all about creating hype, but it’s possible that the PS5 Pro update won’t have any content. Still, GT also has its own communication channels which could give the world a heads up about Pro support, but they remain silent for now.

The marketing for the PS5Pro much like the PSVR2 has been handled by Sony. In both cases GT7 was used to show off the respective new product to the press. In PSVR2's case the patch enabling the VR features came out the day (I think) before PSVR2 hit. I'm assuming it's gonna be the same here, but that's honestly all I have.

Look, all I'm saying is that your logic - the idea that Kaz somehow can't be traveling when a patch drops - is flawed.

Look, before we move goalposts around any further. You could very well be right and the patch doesn't make it in time. All I'm saying is that your logic - the idea that Kaz somehow can't be traveling when a patch drops - is flawed.
As far as I can tell there is no goal post movement in this discussion. I’m not saying he cannot travel when PD is preparing for a big release. I’m only taking his social media activity as a sign that it’s just another week with nothing special going on.

Still quiet, gt7 has become s bit stale,
If there is not anything major from now or by december, its clear pd have moved on to focus on gt8
They’ve said there will be an update in November. Whether it’s coming this week, next week or in the final week of November says nothing about where PD’s main focus is. GT8 always seems to come up as the default answer when PD doesn’t live up to the monthly round of community expectations. So dramatic.
My first gt might be the final thing for gt7 before aiming most focus on the next title
The MFGT trial indicates that PD is not done with GT7. At least it’s not commonplace to release a demo for software that’s about to get phased out. It would be a very odd move.

The odds are that PD aims to syncrhonize the PS5 Pro update with the release of the MFGT trial to create the image that GT7 is a fresh game after the technical makeover, and for the same reason worthy of a demo. It makes too much sense, but let’s see.

Pd might not meet the ps5 pro launch at all,
But one thing is for sure if gt7 is going to be around for about 3 years, their needs to be something major, in the pace they have been going lately it will not be relevant for another 3 years.

MFGT is not gonna be anything special, or anything that will interest the existing players. They've said it themselves that it's a DEMO to attract new people to GT7. Nothing worth the hype.

I also find it funny seeing everyone using "they're focusing on GT8 now" as an answer for PD's lack of actually relevant content for GT7. It's the same story since the PS3 era ......

Let's say that putting high expectations on a future GT game hoping that they will magically fix all of the previous one's problems never really pay off well, did it?

Maybe they are writing suspension physics code from scratch. It wouldn’t surprise me after what has been happening since the July update.
I can believe this actually. It's obviously something they've just kept bandaiding over so it being something they need to crack down on and fix from the source is going to be a pretty big undertaking.

Well, that was exactly my point. Among people here the trial is not something to get overly excited about, but there’s a bigger picture we can appreciate despite already playing the game.

Given GT7 is front and centre for showcasing the difference between the Pro and base, anything other than a 7th update doesn't make sense. I'd like to imagine Sony would insist, if not demand it from PD if they felt different.
