@Famine are you covering the October update - New Extra Menu No.41?
I thought this was a joke but appears not. 😳
You did indeed. Thank you 😳 So what the hell are PD doing announcing this stand alone? We did, four weeks ago...
Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.52 is Now Available: Three New Cars, Physics Changes, Engine Swaps, & More
Following a wait of a little over two months, the latest Gran Turismo 7 game update is now available. Coming in at just under 1.1GB on PlayStation 5 and 1.4GB on PlayStation 4, update 1.52 is notable for having skipped out a version number: the previous update was a bugfix for a physics issue anwww.gtplanet.net
Their social teams (which isn't PD, but an external agency) generally make some very spaced-out posts after an update to flag the new content, filling the gap before the next one.You did indeed. Thank you 😳 So what the hell are PD doing announcing this stand alone?
*I missed this whilst away.
I'll wait to see the next update then.Their social teams (which isn't PD, but an external agency) generally make some very spaced-out posts after an update to flag the new content, filling the gap before the next one.
This is the first I've seen of them waving a collection-task menu though, and firmly suggests that the wait for the next update isn't exactly over yet. Figure on 14th/21st for the next update (there's a Nations Cup Exhibition race on 23rd with "TBA" content, usually meaning new add-on stuff).
I’ll be honest, it completely threw me. Thanks for highlighting what we can possibly expect.Their social teams (which isn't PD, but an external agency) generally make some very spaced-out posts after an update to flag the new content, filling the gap before the next one.

I think real time RT GI would have been awesome (and possibly/theoretically allowed for more time & weather situations on more/all circuits), but probably impossible to implement while keeping the two PS5 versions of the game compatible - if the PS5 pro could even handle it. Ray traced reflections are neat but you need a very keen eye to tell them apart from a good cube map, particularly in motion. RT GI is genuinely game changing though.Problem is not a delayed launch but rather too small of an improvement. I watched the side by side and can barely tell any difference in quality. Variable refresh rate (free GT7 update) was a noticeable improvement for me, frame rate up by 50% from 60fps to 90fps @ 4k. Even if it can do 120fps @ 4k with ray tracing I don't see much of a difference. The game is already pretty old, I only have to gold a few things.
Makes more sense to wait for Assetto Corsa Evo or GTA6 to see if the Pro is worth $$$.
What I want most is fewer bugs in the Fanatec direct drive wheel.
Except they did not promise TGTT would be back in GT6.many of us are still waiting on the Top Gear circuit for Gran Turismo 6 since 2013.
This is what I'm most surprised off, it's hard to see in the demos. Maybe it's one of those things you notice more when it's taken away vs introduced. If I didn't already have a PS5, probably worth starting with the Pro, but we already have a good enough frame rate.I think real time RT GI would have been awesome (and possibly/theoretically allowed for more time & weather situations on more/all circuits), but probably impossible to implement while keeping the two PS5 versions of the game compatible - if the PS5 pro could even handle it. They're just talking and letting chatty gippities ramble, they constantly still say things are fixed which aren't and often are not even in the game. fast loud mouth constant talkers are not what makes for communication. signal that is inaccurate is not communication but nuisance. What's the point of continuing to be so secretive... The game is quite old now. Just let us have a date.
I do like how Forza is handling their updates and their hype, a lot more honest albeit the game is still trash.
How does it explain? What does it explain? That explains why the footage looked exactly the same. Not that there's a problem with that, GT7 is already close to perfect looking.
it means that GT7 is almost to perfect looking. How does it explain? What does it explain?
Why not something like : "Exclusive PS5 Pro feature : Lake Louise can now accommodate a maximum of 20 cars instead of 16"What if the Pro update amounts to more than was shown already, based on the specs i would expect more than in race ray tracing or 60fps replays with Ray tracing. Maybe they are working on something extra.
GT7 looks great, but it definitely has some issues. The TAA and AO implementation bother me a lot, particularly on darker circuits. The real time cube maps updating at half frame rate bothers me too - I'm not sure why they couldn't upgrade that on the base PS5.it means that GT7 is almost to perfect looking.
what are you ideas for GT7 and beyond? Eunos_Cosmo?GT7 looks great, but it definitely has some issues. The TAA and AO implementation bother me a lot, particularly on darker circuits. I don't know enough to suggest an alternative, I just see weird artifacts in the game we have and it ruins the immersion. I would honestly prefer jagged edges to the incessant TAA ghosting.what are you ideas for GT7 and beyond? Eunos_Cosmo?

For my idea for GT7 if PD does or does not work towards. Is to put more Championship races like GT All Stars Championship, GT World Championship, Dream Car Championship. And have those three that I said to have random prize cars for each time you do them. Do you about that? I suspect it was some kind of effort on Sony's part to achieve "parity" with the whole Ray Tracing On Track tagline marketed for FM23. I'm curious to know what other things they could have done with the higher end machine, because I largely agree that the RTR is not super compelling. It's neat, for sure, but I'd rather see better visuals in other ways.It explains why the footage of GT7 running on PS5 Pro looks exactly like GT7 running on PS5
I get my pro on Thursday. How would I find out?Waiting to see if there’ll be any benefits for vr for GT7. If it gets 90 native, I’ll get the pro
