Coming from someone supposedly "Done" with the game back in 2023 (A game with a far healthier player count then their posts suggests). You people never cease to amaze me..

Oh me too. I’d be all in on a monthly pay model if they offered proper race cars every month and a new track at least every other month. Silverstone and the like. The updated GT3 cars, Hyper cars, IMSA standards, etc…. A monetary commitment would require value for the investment and why PD would probably never do it.

I like free updates but the two tracks we got were yawns and the cars have not been anywhere near good.

I would also pay more for more of the stuff I deem important, but not monthly only a one-time DLC but for changing the parameters&rules in the game. PP, tire choice, tire wear, fuel consumption, starting place etc.

Sometimes it's hard to be positive when there are so many other cars they can add that make more sense.

More sense than a classic hot hatch and a BMW roadster? Those cars are perfect for Gran Turismo. The Unimog is the only odd addition here.

Especially since based on this website's voting for member suggested cars, most of the highest voted cars have been added to GT7. I guess it makes sense if PD visit this website and are indeed giving the players what they want.

Maybe more members can vote for the ones they "really" want. I guess...

If I now look at which cars are no older than 5 years, the list shrinks even further. Then only 15 cars remain and of those maybe 9 or 10 are road cars.

The HiMedic/HiAce is more questionable when you consider the cars haven't mostly changed since the 2000s. On the other hand however, they actually added more cars from 2020s (and less 2000s cars) that people think:

Statistic excludes cars without a defined model year (F3500-A, Mazda3 Gr.4, SEMA cars) or VGTs, and treats the SF23s as one car (as they arrived in the same update; had the VGTs also count, this would also apply to the Exeneo). Afeela is also included in this stat.

EDIT: 2020s stat amended to account for the Giulia GTAm, which was missing in the original count.

You are missing at least Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm '20, Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray '20 and Hyundai Ioniq 5N '24. I'd also count Afeela Prototype (2024).

Actually a lot more: Genesis G70 '22, two Honda Civic Type R's: FK8 '20 and FL5 '22, Maserati MC20 '20, Mazda Roadster NR-A '22, two Porsche 911's: Turbo S '20 and GT3 RS '22. Checked just 2020s cars, so there could be a few missing from '18 or '19.

It turns out I forgot about the Giulia GTAm on the original stat, so I've updated mine's too.

Just a slight thought but some bridges and tunnels might be a bit low for the Unimog....

I m agree. But Gran turismo is the Real Driving Simulator, Right? , so Everything Drivable must be in the Game

No complains about the Peugeot and BMW, but again a truck with no sense.

If you ask 50 different people "what types of cars are the best fits for Gran Turismo", you'll get at least 35 different answers. It's not a question with a correct answer.

It's why I personally think they'd be better off with fewer but bigger updates. It's impossible to cover the whole fanbase's wants in three cars, so every update a decent portion of players will look at the silhouettes and go "doesn't have <X> type of car, nothing for me there" and be disappointed. And that's before you factor in divisive surprises like the Unimog or the Himedic or VGTs.

Okay, the list I got the cars from was apparently not up to date.
However, there are still some current vehicles missing.
Especially station wagons.

By the way, a car that is 20 years old is considered a youngtimer in Germany and a car that is 30 years old is considered a vintage car.
That means that for me, all cars built in 2005 and before are already old.

However this is in line with the "philosophy" of the game.

Did you forget this amazing car in GT4 capable to reach the astonishing max speed of 11mph (17.7 km/h) ?

The Unimog will be much faster for sure...

Man, I really miss those station wagons from early days in GT2, like the Subarus.
