Surprise surpirse, it's only been that since 1997 :dunce:
Not really, as every car was already in the game and when you either purchased or won one, there was at least one race/event/championship that it could be entered in. No car was completely useless.

Unlike now, where many post release cars are literally just released to boost the car count - like #cars matters more than actual useable content. There's is no thought put in to how the three cars that are thrown at us can be used. It's purely about aesthetics.

And, many are locked behind the grindathon that is the Hegarty legendary car showroom.

To add to the topic of negativity, you pointed out exactly the things that get me upset about the game. There are so many devs out there pouring their heart into their work, and these guys are just phoning it in. And, to be fair, it's not the devs but the management at Sony that simply doesn't care.

Also, the price of the cars. It's a BS excuse that they are expensive to be realistic. They are expensive to earn more money from those that obsess over owning them.

Hoping we can sell our unwanted cars with this latest update, if not, here is another solution:

If we can not sell our unwanted cars, is it possible that we can trade our unwanted cars with other players?

It could work like this:

Step 1. I am looking for a Ferrari La Ferrari, anyone willing to do a trade for this car?

Step 2. My gamer ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (enter gamer ID)

Step 3. Car trade is now completed.

Maybe the ability to trade 5 or more cars for the 1 Ferrari La Ferrari. Have multiple empty slots to add as many cars you like to trade.

They just need to bring back the gifting system that was in a previous release. (GT5/6?)

So what happen when you gift someone a car and the other person don't gift you back the car you wanted?

Can we all say I just got "SCREWED!". 🤣
That's not really gifting, that's trading. PD could introduce a proper trade system, but using a gift system to trade by gifting and then expecting a gift in return would have to be based on trust I think.

They just need to add the ability to sell cars, but knowing PD I expect you to not be able to sell cars you won from events and tickets.

That was a long time ago so I don't recall how it worked, but I never recall feeling screwed because something wasn't gifted back.

Cool thing about gifting back then, my nephew gifted me a black EP3. It was like my real life ‘04 EP3 Si. When he grew up, his first car was a black ‘03 EP3 Si. The times I picked him up in my car, stuck with him. It was his dream car. He still has it, along with a TSX wagon. He also bought and brought back an Efini RX-7, when he was stationed in Japan. He’s since sold it to his brother(both are in the Air Forcs), who has a blobeye STI. All influenced from our love of cars and GT. Good stuff.

That's a pretty cool story

Yeah, me and my siblings were influenced from the cars my parents owned. My 82yo mother’s latest, is a Juke NISMO. Car before that was the newly released ‘05 300C. It was going to be the last car she bought. She regrets trading in the Chrysler because, she misses the power.

I know the whole purpose of the gift was to actually gift another player a car. Thing is, Kaz says the sharing was smade easier. We have the Livery Editor and Styles options. Sharing set ups. PD just removed another feature so they don't have to bother with it.

Similar to racing modification. Leave it to the players to build cars "like" racing modification and we(PD) don't have to.
