I know the whole purpose of the gift was to actually gift another player a car. Thing is, Kaz says the sharing was smade easier. We have the Livery Editor and Styles options. Sharing set ups. PD just removed another feature so they don't have to bother with it.

Similar to racing modification. Leave it to the players to build cars "like" racing modification and we(PD) don't have to.

They should let us create our tracks and championships so they don't have to. Increase the payout for said custom races as well.

Again, another 3 completely random and pointless cars that neither fit in or enhance any of the current events available.

I have been waiting since the death of GT2, for the return of the Nissan Skyline Silhouette. Im hoping its not too expensive so I can get multiples for different uses. Its kinda sorta 4 types of GT players.

1. Car enthusiast who wont play other driving themed games, because the physics are terrible and the cars are aimed at the F&F crowd
2. People who only race in the bubble of a specific type of race, or class of car.
3. The social player who is more interested in hanging with other car peeps online.
4. The day 1 GT loyalist.

Unfortunately PD cant please them all with every update. Also some cars need to be added just because its competitors exist in the game already. Obviously how they did a better job with the engine sounds being more realistic. And all cars now have detailed interiors. What cars come and when are subject to the availability of a real life car. If we all are going to complain about something it should be the economy of GT as a whole. And having to grind races we dont like to do, to survive in the GT economy.

That was a long time ago so I don't recall how it worked, but I never recall feeling screwed because something wasn't gifted back.

The way this worked is you gift a car to another account, then you reload your game save and the car is back in your garage. It also worked for other items like museum cards.
