Nah, I think there's a solid argument to be made that VGTs are detrimental to the game as a whole in their current incarnation. It was an interesting idea when it was "what would the GT cars of the future look like?", but when it turned into a willy-waving contest to make the most ridiculous physically impossible cars between the manufacturers it went off the rails.

Now it gets used as a way to fill the game with what are functionally fantasy cars, which is really a very long way from the commitment to realism and real machinery that Gran Turismo became famous for. There was always a few concepts and such, but the amount of imaginary cars in GT7 is just wildly out of proportion. People can enjoy that if they want and none of us are going to be able to stop Kaz from putting whatever bollocks he likes in his game, but I think it's absolutely fair to be critical of the VGT program and how it continues to be used and/or abused.

50-ish fantasy cars in a 450-ish car game is a lot. It's reasonable to think about how different the game would be if those were real cars, like past main-line GTs. It wouldn't surprise me if Forza Horizon has a lower proportion of fantasy cars in the game, and they have Hot Wheels.
I agree completely. I find the use of these in a GR1 class as fillers is ridiculous. Heck, they can't even fill a 12 car grid without mixing prototypes from different eras which I find equally stupid. The end result is a PP arms race making the speeds as quick as F1 cars which kills all realism for me anyway. Less realism, still an unfinished game. Sad.

Sure it’s fair criticize it, critic is very important, but to say these cars „shouldn’t exist in this game“ is just arrogant and to be honest a little bit fanatic.
The creator of this game shapes the direction this franchise is heading and decides which content „should“ exist in his game, the same way he did when he shaped the direction of his first game in this franchise, GT1.

Having some „out of the norm“ cars is even part of the franchise like the JayLeno Tank Car, the Moon Rover, the RedBull Cars, Benz Patentwagen, some fictional race Versions of real world Cars etc.. Some exist in real life, some not, so shouldn’t some of them exist in these games? Kaz just took it a step further with the VGT program, actually creating cars with the brands themselves, actually being part of the automotive history now. Maybe this was his dream for a long time and then he made it come true, the same as he did with his dream of a racing game like GT1. So is there any rule book that says which dreams he should make come true and which not? (It’s a rhetorical question)

Again, criticism is good and is needed, but this „it shouldn’t exist“-stuff is beyond criticism, it’s the mentality I see a lot these days. Like if fans were some kind of investors by buying these games and also behaving like them, as if they should decide in which creative direction a franchise should go because they don’t like this or that.
There’s a big difference between „I wish they would do that“ and „they should“.
In their current form, "they should not be in the game" is a fair criticism. How they are being used to fill grids and artificially increasing speed and handing. I can see how people would like to see them removed and the focus put on other more important assets to the game. Like a true 12 car grid of modern prototypes or a full grid Group C cars.

I understand how you object to excessive points of view but to be fair and objective, not acknowledging the cars that are being mis-used is an oversight on your part I believe.

I also believe creators should listen to the community purchasing their products. If this product was more finished and less disappointing maybe many of the demanding consumers would likely be more patient. That would better align with your idea of support versus demand.

Wonder if there`s anyone who wants 243 brand new Honda NSX Gr.B Rallycars?
Yeah, Why do I have 5 or 6 of them, new with zero miles, when I bought zero! Soo selling them won't work...well that sucks cause I won't be using that car for anything, but collecting dust! And I ain't dumb enough to just ditch them.

So, unfortunately three cars became the rule.

I hope they bring other Maserati, especially the legendary MC12 GT1.

The GT7 urgently needs modern racing cars like the latest GT3 models that will become the Le Mans standard for next years, as well as it needs to add the new LMDh and LMh models.
And when we get a Holiday update, it will be another 3 cars as well.

My guess is that PD is holding on to the unreleased cars to release a bunch during the Christmas period, didn’t they do something like that early in GTSport’s life cycle?
Hopefully one they hold is that Castrol Mugen NSX we wanted so bad. Since the car's livery contains the colors Green, Red, & White; it would fit surprisingly well in a Holiday update.

PD could have literally hired one guy to clean up all textures for gt5 and 6's standard car but they decided to just straight port them ..

Technically we have unlimited races in the custom race feature. What needs to happen is for PD to fix the AI tire issue there and increase the payouts.
Be careful, stating such heresy will get you crucified by the GTplanet zealots who will chant " does not pay gud" while doing so. Followed by the typical brain-dead defenders of the faith who will tell you, that having to make your own races is inferior to having a PD added chase the rabbit conga line race.

What are you even talking about?

Nice, the Skyline even lacks the driver's side window :dopey: No mention of it being in any group tho :scared:

Also, no track. <grabs popcorn>

Thx for the head up and sharing. The new track will be next month folks.
The Spyder looks mighty good and a nice addition. The two others will be great addition to drive with I am sure

Cars are confirmed (thank god it's those 3 cars), but what about the rest? Any details about other things? Obviously no track since that would've been announced in the trailer as well.

Can we finally sell cars?

The jury on that is still out until the patch notes is out - which occurs after an maintenance, for which we haven't heard any announcement yet. Maybe tomorrow.

When we go to our garage and Sleect Car Type, that Group 5 category will be in a class of one. Just like GT300 and WRC. There are more Pickup trucks than the just mentioned categories.

Hoping when the sell feature drops, it will be worth it.
Even if it did happen, it won't change much. You will only be able to sell cars you bought and really the ones you would like to sell are probably not worth anything once it is used....
