Gran Turismo 7 Update Coming July 28

So now I understand why they do these "free" content updates. It makes it seem like they are so great because they offer us free content...when in reality they release a unfinished game and are adding in stuff that was supposed to there from day 1.
I'll come back to GT7 in 2 years when they release a complete delux edition and give it a second chance. (Since it seems like in 2 years this game could end up being great, like they achieved for GT Sport) For now, I'm enjoying GT Sport and other games.

You can blame it on the boogie, but it's been around for a while.... Knock yourself out...

This should be a good update for me. I like the cars, the ability to save custom races, and the new engine swaps available. Still can't sell cars but oh well what can you. Would love a new track but all in all this is adequate

I think the Porsche 918 might be broken. I do not seem to notice a difference in performance when the electric motors are charged and when they are drained. In general the car just feels sluggish under throttle, as if the hybrid boost is always disabled. All this stuff works fine on the LaFerrari.

I kind of liked the "IN YOUR FACE" Mr Grimm attitude. Often I don't agree with your position, but I consider healthy debate is valuable, and usually there's a slither of truth in there somewhere (on both sides)

I tried switching to the light/white background and yeah, the font is really hard on the eyes (I use black/dark backgrounds on everything so I forget there are people who use the lighter backgrounds).

It wasn't any attempt to be in "your face", I just like the color on the dark background and it was easy for me to find my own posts, and also other people. In the same way it's easy for me to find Famine's posts.

Still haven't tried the 918 spyder on track, but I read some people say it's not AWD???

Pretty much... It took me like 50 tickets to get my first Porsche engine as well. So the odds of us getting these engines anytime soon are extremely slim.
You might get them during Christmas... WITH some luck


But thanks to the ticket bonanza, I have plenty of already existing engines for the new engine swappable cars. I have like 350-400 engines of each.

The 918 is for sure AWD but it does nt have front diff setting which is why I think tis throwing people. Their are other 4wd cars like this in the game like I think the NSX(IE the poor mans 918).

I really like how the 918 drives to be honest.

The 918 has 1 electric motor at the front axle that drives the front wheels, that's probably why you can't adjust anything on the front axle...??
The V8 and the second electric motor drive the rear wheels.

No it wouldn't, it'd fall into GR.2 just the 2016 GT-R GT500 is.

since may 26 update my transmission will not adjust no matter what speed or ratios the aspects of my car dont change at all. even when i change tires nothing changes. ive been waitint for gran turismo or playstation to contact me. ive sent 31 emails and have been ignored completely. complete and total waste of money. i was ranked in daily races now i can even race at all for 3 months and polyphony and playstation will only ignore your problem if a patch fix wont fix it

Everytime PD tries to implement selling cars, a super massive bug appears that crashes the game and deletes all of your progress (cars, liveries, milestones). That’s why we can’t sell cars.

are you sure its not adjusting? can you post video of you trying to adjust?

I haven't checked out the update since I'm at work... but is the payouts still the same meaning its still the same 3-4 races who have a good payout or did they add more?

Since it's hybrid with electric motors it doesn't have a conventional AWD system (i.e. no driveshafts and no front differential). Additionally, I believe that above 120 mph the front "axle" disconnects and no longer contributes to acceleration.

Thankfully! I was shoved off track in the Gazoo series just the other night. The car shoving me off pushed me into another car, and GT ghosted the other car so that I was easily flung off into the dirt. Yeah...that wasn't the least bit ridiculous.

They will probably fix the rear wing issue in the next patch update. The rear wing is not in down position when in stop position. It's always up no matter how slow or fast you drive.

I genuinely think selling cars is massively overhyped by people. It'll be nice to cut down on some extra cars for credits but at the end of the day its hardly a life changing feature.

This game is balanced out to give you the money for completing an event rather than for the event and selling a car on top. Winning an event for 5k and selling the car for 30k in the old games is no different to the smattering of 35k + reward events we have.

I think your take is pretty accurate. In the first few games the prize cars were worth really good money so selling was essential to maximize grinding. But since the introduction of zero $ value for gift cars ( GT5 or 6? I can't remember ) selling them became irrelevant.

So to have selling as a feature to thin out your collection, sell a car you didn't like or want is ok. But because they will sell for a heavily reduced value the sale really won't affect your bottom line.

Bringing back the feature to gift cars might actually be a more favorable addition. I can't remember which GT it was, but I was able to trade cars with other players and get back lots of cool cars. It was way more valuable to me than selling.

Well, I wish you the best of luck in getting people to sign a petition that no one at PD will ever see, and even if they did see it, the entire game is built upon the online-only system to such an extent that it literally won't function without the Internet. Which, you know, isn't exactly easy to fix in a patch.

Not sure why the 918 got a problem with the automatic rear wing. I don't see problems with other automatic rear wing cars in this game.
