A Historic Spa event would have been nice.

No, that would've been too creative. Draw a random PP number out of a hat, add a continent to it (or call it a touring car championship for no reason), repeat that twice, and you're all set for three more weeks. No need to think about special categories of cars, god forbid you add a Gr. 1 event.

And with this brand new layout they didn't even need to pick different circuits for the new cookie cutter events!

I was playing the game yesterday, some event with small japanese cars, and I thought how it would be cool if they added a Cappuccino in the game. And here it comes in the very first content update!

Now we need the Mazda AZ-1 as well 😀

Was that in the classic endurance series? I never did that championship and always regretted it, I don't think we've ever seen a series of long races before or since on Gran Turismo.

First things first: I'm not impressed by this update. Neither the cars nor the new track layout or any of the other things impresse me.

But what really fascinates me is the frustration in this thread. Why? GT7 has a lot of content. If you have never played a GT before there is so much content but so little time to experience. Don't you play other games or have hobbies apart from gaming? I already have 70 hours of playtime in 1,5 months. That's at least ~ 1,5h per day. I know a lot of people they don't even have enough time to play 1h per week! Per week and not per day.

Before you complain take one step back and be happy for what you got already. Polyphony Digital aren't machines but humans just like you and me. They need breaks and let's not forget there was the COVID crisis which made it very difficult to visit other countries to scan new tracks and cars.

Some of us are enjoying the game, but there are still questionable aspects. Yes, Kaz has addressed some issues. Yes, we see some fixes. Yes, this ain’t Burger King and we can’t have it our way. However, the PDLogic for many things have been ongoing. If Kaz & Co. are going to read & listen to the consumers of this franchise, they’re still missing the mark on some basic concerns.

Sad that the Lobby system didn't see any attention in this patch. Excited to try out some of my RWD setups with the new balance changes however. I rate this patch 6/10.

The 24h layout of Spa was teased as early as the State of Play special. I remember checking the time of day settings in a custom Spa race and being surprised that it isn't fully 24h support. I guess we should have seen this coming. It's like how Nurburgring 24h is the only layout that supports a full 24h instead of the other versions that can only start at daybreak and end at dusk.

New events only limited to Spa is a disappointment, there's a handful of underutilised circuits just waiting for more events like Interlagos, Bathurst, and Kyoto.

I just done 4 laps in the 4.5 mile KYOTO track in a Honda S2000 and it was a whole lot of fun. I tried driving the dame car on saturday and gave up after 10 laps because it always wanted to point in the wrong direction. Now I can drift around the long left hand corners with ease.

When the servers come back online I'm going to try the IA-10 licence again (I already golded it) to see what that bus feels like now.

Yes, its a joke that this has passed the PD/Sony quality control, its a joke that all the reviewers didnt critize this, and its a joke that PD needs months to fix it.

You could think that PD has 4 developers and 1 is in holiday and 1 is sick.

Hype? What was promised/hyped that wasn't delivered? We only got the 1 layout which is a bummer, but I wasn't expecting the world either.

Well you can see from all the disappointment on here that there was a lot of hype. Like you said the fact that was only got one new layout is a disappointment but also a lie after Kaz promised multiple. Also just 3 new events is pretty shambolic when there are tonnes of cars without any events to use them in.

I wasn’t expecting the world either but I and many others were expecting more than this, especially when we’ve seen that these other events exist from screenshots of press events.

It’s not the end of the world and this isn’t supposed to be rant post but they really do need to do a lot better than they’re doing.

I think they should remove the roulette. The prize is predetermined so the roulette is just a teaser of what you can get and just an animation to annoy us. Just give us the crappy prize up front and do away with the roulette.

I also got parts for cars I don't own. I keep hoping for the super high RPM turbo for cars I own or carbon drive shaft which should be purchasable in the upgrades shop anyway instead of having them in the roulette

Events are coming. Just be patient. Should they have been there from the start? Sure, but they're not. Bitching and moaning about it will not make them come any quicker.
