Just escudo got me exticed But watkins glen make this update great in my opinion i just wish we had a lot more events on each track that would have made a massive difference to the experince. But the best update yet by a huge amount i will save the menu books until there is at least 10 or more to do

So there is no maintenace scheduled yet? Despite the fact the update should drop (as typical) in about 12 hours?

IMSA is listed in the credits. Maybe we're getting some of their cars? (But their cars are literally just Le Mans cars so probably not)
You already did get some of their cars. Vasser Sullivan Lexus. Chip Ganassi Ford GT GTLM.
(and no, not "literally" just le mans cars. They're IMSA cars that race here. We're not le mans)

Thankful for the track and the two real cars, disappointed to see PD continue to waste time and money making another VGT car. If I wanted to race imaginary futuristic vehicles I'd play Wipeout or F-Zero.
Great that you feel that way and I know that there are others who share your viewpoint however that does not speak for all players. Personally I love the VGT project as all cars started out as someones "vision". The Audi TT started out as prototype which could be classified as a real life "VGT". Some of the ideas from these cars will be seen in some future models from these manufacturers.

Also there is an opportunity to test things in a virtual environment to see if it's feasible without having to outlay money to actually build it. It gives these companies a barometer of what people actually like and don't like. Some of the VGT's are "passable" as current cars like the BMW VGT, that car is truly epic in my opinion.

There are so many other options in the game that means that can avoid the VGT's if that is not you cup of tea but there are others out there who aren't opposed to it so please take that into consideration as the game is made for many. Please note that I am not having a crack at you just sharing a different veiwpoint and my reasoning behind it.

I love the vision cars. Esp how well modeled they are and just insane to drive. Looking forward to seeing them in VR when they add that To this one.

If It's not got the clasic boot layout of watkins i will be slightly unhappy :)
Well AFAIK there's no race series that uses the classic boot layout anymore for safety reasons, everyone runs the Inner Loop whether they use the short course or the boot layout. 🤷‍♂️

I pray they improve lobbies. I predict loading into watkins and not seeing my friends like st. Croix and Tokyo central.. and glitching through others when somebody joins room or pits.

I cant believe its been out this long and lobby issues have been KNOWN since paset few updates; if they dont address it this update, guess this summer will continue to be lone grinding... cmon bug fixes...

Astonishing how Monza has like 1 or 2 races in it...

But this new track should at least have the races from the new menus no?
I want the old Monza course with the high banked turn..

 PDLogic™ never fails.

What logic?

For me Watkins Glen is an outstanding addition, people complain about no new circuits and real ones at that well PD have responded. Granted it's only one track but this is a is a step in the right direction. I would have banked on Apricot Hill as the first new track added after the find your line promo indicating its return so this was a very pleasant suprise.

Also I am aware of the lobbies situation, which hopefully some improvements and rectifications are made for those who use as I can completely understand peoples grievances and I would share those sentiments also. I guess we will just have to wait for the patch notes to see what elses has been addressed.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but is this the first time we’ve seen a trailer preceding an update?

If so, I wonder what made PD feel it’s worthy of the extra fanfare. The Glen is cool, and the Escudo is cool, but is there perhaps more to this update than first appears?

If there were, they'd have put it in the trailer, no?

Very pleased to see Watkins Glen joining the game, it's a classic track and great drive. I hope they don't do a Bathurst though and go to all the trouble of laser scanning a beautiful track and then only have one 20K single player race there.
I wonder if the Glen will be laser scanned.

Glen has three layouts. I hope PD adds all three to the game right away. It is extremely useless not to add the other layouts when they are already scanned.
Always thought this - there are so many missed opportunities for other layouts of real-world circuits already in the game. Can't understand why they still miss out on layouts when the location's already scanned.

Idk, are they like... learning? Nah can't be, it's PD after all, somebody slipped and posted it a day too early problably.

well,if they don‘t have to offer any events for it…why even bother? 💩
