Watkins glen and Japanese cars menù books🤔 this confuse me. Maybe we should expect some out of the blue events on Watkins glen as well such as endurance race? Or gr3/4/800pp race?

I'm was hoping for Pike's Peak but I'm completely fine with Watkins Glen. That was a real surprise, I'm ok with most of the cars with the exception of the one that looks like a jukebox. (At least I can male a ratrod out of it.)
I wouldn't count on it. The car is already modified, hence why it's rather confusing full name is "Ford 1932 Ford Roadster 1963.

It may be like the SEMA cars where we can't do anything to them.

Is Tokyo R246 an actual real race track? Or is it like the London, New York, Paris, Rome tracks of GT5?
Pretty much a real life "road", much like the Tokyo circuits you have currently in GT7 and yes, like New York, Rome etc from the past games.
Tokyo R246 in particular IMO was a very good circuit. It's really fast paced, has some technical corners and is good for racing with plenty of overtaking oportunities. I dunno why PD didn't add it again... Maybe the road was modified since then and it's not longer the same, or they just choose not to!?

London was a circuit for beginners Way too small for racing.
Rome was way too simple and not exciting at all.
New York was average, but the major use of 90 degree corners threw me off, same with Hong Kong in GT4 which was also very narrow.

The current Tokyo circuits are great in many ways.

FYI, the RX-Vision isn't a VGT. The Audi e-tron VGT and the VW Roadster VGT does exist, btw.
I forgot about the e-tron VGT, I think it was Ken Block who drove it sometime ago.

I didn't know however that the VW Roadster existed. Going to check it... Done. All I saw was a chassis in expositions... So, where's the 500hp engine it's suppose to have? Chassis is one thing, a fully functional car is another.

I'm okay with the Bugatti and the Audi e-tron, fully functional cars that exist IRL and can be driven. The rest? Nope, just fantasy. And the RX-Vision is indeed not listed as a VGT (checked it out), I just assumed it was based on the name itself (And how the car looks as well, very... VGT-like, but this one at least is good looking).

So what are the bets for how many events on the Glen in World Circuit to start off? It could easily be 10 if they wanted to, but I'm going to go with 4.
4??? Aren't you being too kind? I expect 2 at most.

Excellent news. I can deal with 3 cars if we are also getting a new track. Here's to hoping they can add one every month or at the very least every other.

Not to brag but I predicted a new track showing up in this update. Kinda easy considering Nations Cup round 6 had no race details at all 👀 Since when has that even happened before? 🤔

I wonder how long will it take for Polyphony Digital to fully agree with the customers' backlashes?

One thing I don't like is this disconnect between the cars & the track released, instead of three unrelated cars, have three cars of the same class that can make use of the new track & new events.

Another words if they release Twin Rings or Sugo, add three GT500 or GT300 from the Japanese series.

As it stands now maybe only one car is useful on Watkins Glen

Exactly. It won't solve the majority of the problems, and it only works as a short term, limited solution for players to earn some extra Cr.

I wonder what will those players do, after they sell all their cars, and realise the remaining issues of the game. Better yet, they will likely sell a car that they might need sometime in the future for a certain event, or if in the future any of those cars gets a great engine swap available.
And you can't sell gift cars right? So....

I get what you’re saying, but the last thing I’d want is for them to have an excuse to start holding back content even more than they are currently, because they haven’t packaged it correctly.

Alas Tokyo R246 is a fictional circuit based on real streets. I visited it (on foot) in 2018, and was eager to see my favourite section, the 'Red Road' section... the entire track surrounds the Imperial Gardens in central Tokyo, and it is home to some embassies and other 'sensitive' buildings. I noticed quite a few police and security detail that were paying me some attention as I took pictures around there. As for the road, it looks like it would be a blast as a real circuit.

"Sorry about tresspassing officer, have you ever heard of Gran Turismo?" 😂

Was expecting if they added a American track added, it would be on the west coast, something like Sonoma or Portland, long shot for COTA.

I'm getting a good launch remembering the mods pretty much bully a guy who leaked the car list that he was "wrong" a week or so ago, the ford proves that list is right as that is such a random car to fake. do i think we will see every car? Nope, Do I think we will see some car's on that list , yep we already saw 2 in this drop. I'm laughing even harder that people don't know Watkins glen has been leaked since before Lagna seca as released by VANILA who leaked Laguna Seca - > Daytona ( files in gt sport, empty )- > Trail mountain ( files in gt sport to load a track, empty ) -> Watkins Glen - A existing skybox set exist that can be booted into other tracks ) back in the GT sports days.
