Now we only have missing the other real life tracks that previous GTs had:

Indianapolis
Silverstone
Monaco
Twin Ring Motegi

And some more OG tracks like:

Grand Valley Speedway
Tokyo R246
Apricot Hill
Midfield Raceway

With Indianapolis, Daytona, Twin Ring Motegi (super speedway), High Speed Ring, Blue Moon Bay and SSRX you can actually have a 5 or 6-race NASCAR championship. Getting the Nascar cars into the game however...
Or at the very least a LIKE THE WIND championship...

Yeah, does PD still remember those? "Championships"? Ya know... Multiple races with points system where the winner gets a prize payout and a car at the end? Or those are erradicated alltogether for the rest of the game?

Before this update was announced I was watching a car podcast and Pikes Peak was being praised and it made me really want it in a modern GT game, esp with Sony holding the rights. Then they announce the Escudo, well I really hope we do get Pikes Peak (and the old and new version, but I would settle for the paved) but Watkins Glen is a good addition. If they keep on adding new circuits the game might eventually be worth it (for me).

I remember when i played this track for the first time in a Nascar game for PS2

My god the Escudo, Gran Turismo history in one car

I am surprised to see the Glen will be in GT. I love that track in PC2. I was kinda hoping PP would be the track. I hope the Escudo is affordable

New cars, a new track and new menu stuff. Pretty solid update.

First added track on GTS was Monza, which came a few months after launch, this seems to follow the same pattern. A good a sign.

Is Tokyo R246 an actual real race track? Or is it like the London, New York, Paris, Rome tracks of GT5?

Not betting at all but there's history in the relationship and NASCAR will no doubt be looking for something new to add their name to given the turd that's parading around as the official game at the moment.

While true, Watkins Glen's history extends beyond NASCAR hence why I say it shouldn't be looked at as a potential indicator solely for the NASCAR license (again, the 6 Hours is this weekend. Give it a watch if you can). As for NASCAR, I'm pretty sure they already have been looking to do something better then..THAT. Don't think its GT though, not right now anyway.

I had a good feeling we would get a new circuit with this update. For the basic reason it was getting overdue when compared to the content output managed by GT Sport.

Watkins Glen is no doubt a historic location, but it’s honestly not a track I’ve ever enjoyed that much. Though, it’s decent enough and I’m certainly not complaining.

I’m glad to see the Suzuki Escudo back. Not because I expect to use it much but it brings back childhood memories of playing split screen multiplayer with old friends on PS1. As for the hot rod and VGT, kinda meh.

Siverstone would be nice, since this track is lot of fun

Yeah that and Indy, as well as a few OG tracks like Grand Valley and Apricot Hill being added back into the game would be nice.

Btw just FYI, the dataminers suggest that: Red Rock Valley, Grand Valley and Road Atlanta exist as files for this game. Watkins Glen was one of the tracks too in the files.

All cars that have been added so far exist in a list of 80, also data collected by dataminers. I think HSG Automotive on Youtube has talked about this.

Looks like Dataminers have done a good job so far 🤔

This is an awesome update, i finally have a good reason to play GT7 for a while. Watkins Glen is such an historical circuit, it will be great fun to drive in it.
