We are going to have an extra week next month regardless of what we do. Maybe the best thing to do after tonight's 500 finale will be to try and promote to new drivers, and use next week's race as a sort of dress rehearsal with the new machinery. I'll wait to hear from everyone.

I would have to side with waiting an extra week (Y) I like the idea of a shakedown week for the future newbies that come in... I'll see y'all tonight!

What's the best way to recruit newbs, public lobby?
Finding people that cleanly race on a public lobby is the first step. After that I explain the league a little and direct them to GTP along with giving my screen name to them. I have them search for a post to hit a link to the league to see if their interested.

We have gotten a few guys in an out of the leagues using this method, but it is tough. Flip also at a point United us with another racing sanction on GTP but to no real avail. It is tough to recruit, everyone wants to win right away and get discouraged once they see how fast the league really is. It is tough to find those that want to hone their racecraft along with wanting to learn how to be fast.

I have run a series under the umbrella of the FGTA, a sanctioning body here in the forums, and it truly did not help our numbers that greatly. Maybe one or two people, but that was about it. However, there is next to no activity in that forum at the moment, so I don't think it was just us. And most of those guys were based in the UK, and I can tell we don't fit a lot of people's schedules. North America (west more so than east), yes. Most of Europe, not really.

Open club lobbies can help, but it gets a little difficult to explain to someone through the chat what you're doing and the regs in a very short space. Even with mics turned on, it can get confusing quickly.

I would say overall, the best was to get the word out is to spread it to people you think would be interested in racing. I tend to find that people who come across the forum first have a better chance of joining. I have a few racers in mind that have run with us in the past that I will try and contact this week. I would like to see a bit of variety in the field this time around.

I got booted right after the race. Looks like I'm not the only one.

Good race tonight! I will have more in the morning. But just very quickly, here is how the top 5 in points ended up.

BC_BOYZZ - 71

Once again, a huge thank you to @flip55 for everything he does to keep the series going! Also a congratulations to everyone on a hard fought and fun season! On to next month!

Robbie, congratulations on the championship wish I could have given you a better run for the money :-). Vel as always great to see you back winning like always ;-) glad my tune paid off dividends for you. KG was a great battle last night you definitely had an advantage over me the whole time. I was wondering why a few times you held back when I left the door wide open after a mistake for you.

Flip as always thanks for the time you put into the series. I am really excited for the new TC series that will be beginning. It has been a great year racing with everyone and hopefully it will be a better year to come :-).

not my best race last night for sure. at lease I got dc'ed after the race was over. used the comfort softs and understand how they work in the rain. congrats to 2nr for the win and BC for this championship. i'll look at my friends list and invite a few of the cleanest drivers.

March final points!

Congrats to BC on another one and to VEL for the win!

Track for next week's test event: I'm thinking 2014 Suzuka.

And sign ups for cars are still in effect. All Mazdas are accounted for, and two VWs have been taken. Also taking team sign ups as well, there are four at the moment.

Hey Flip don't forget to put IOUW Racing in with Ares and myself.

Respectively I would like to lockout car numbers 68 and 69 for IOUW, but I will wait on Ares to decide. We might also race the number 2 and 68 cars depending on his opinion.

Just waiting in that confirmation. Thanks!
