what are the specific rules for this Thursday race? you can pick up a lot of time cutting the corners a Monza

Same rule everywhere: At least two tires inside of the white lines at all times.

Or... we could run the 80's version of the track which has less of the extra green curbing on the inside of the corners. It would solve the problem of the first two chicanes.

understood. sometimes the rule is two tires on the rumble srtip so just want to make sure and which ever track is fine.

thanks

It depends on the track and where the issue is. A place like Silverstone where the issue is usually on exit is where I'll be a little more lenient. But the problem at Monza is at the corners itself, so with that I'll be a little more strict with. But most tracks in general aren't too bad.

great. I usually always try to keep two tires inside the white line but once in while when the tires are worn sometimes its only two tires on the rumble strip. I would not do that lap after lap of course.

When I set the room up tonight, I'll load up the 80s track and see what people think. It'll be new for me, as well, I have very little time on it.

Okay, just a few things for Monza this week.

I may have slightly over exaggerated the fuel race thing. I don't think you can make it without a fuel stop, but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be in preseason testing. Even so, management of the car will be important as always.

Also, after some time on the track last night, I've decided to lighten up on some of the track limit areas. The big one if the Variante Ascari (the left - right - left chicane before the final corner). I will allow two wheels on the red and white, two on the green on the inside of the first corner, and at the chicane's exit. All other corners I think will be alright,

Just a note: That first chicane on the 80s track tightens up very, very quickly. It's easy to go in too deep and run someone off if you're trying to make a pass on the inside. I, as well as a few others, made that mistake a few times.

I used about a 1/4 tank in just under 15 minute sessions, so maybe a splash halfway through to be safe.
@flip55 How was my driving last night in front of you? I was trying to simulate a race, keep my line and make it difficult for you, hope I didn't drive too crazy.

All good mate! Passing in certain areas is actually a little more difficult on this layout. You need to be more precise with how you pass someone.

Wait so which track are we running?

80s! With these cars, the opening few sections have a nice flow, and it cuts down on the extra green curbing on the inside of the first two chicanes.

I have not run the 80's track at all. I've been practicing the currentish Monza... That blows because I will have no time until tomorrow to hit that track.

Good news is that there's only two braking zones to relearn! And if you can take the second Lesmo flat, you're in good shape.

Okay, just had a realization because I finally looked at a calender.

What does next week look like for people? It is Easter, and I just realized that April has 5 Thursdays. If some of you can't make it, we can start the racing on the 9th.

My apologizes for this, I literally just learned this 20 seconds ago.

I can make all of them

Side note - All April and May events have been loaded into the Gentlemen's Cup club in the game.

What we could do if not everyone can make April 2nd is hold a test event with the new cars, which may not be a bad idea anyway.

As of right now I can't make the 2nd. Being 1 of only 3 bartenders at my restaurant I will be covering shifts of the other two bartenders because they took Wednesday through Sunday off the week of Easter. This is subject to change, but that is how it is looking right now for me.
