'Gran Turismo' is coming to the BIG screen!

One man had a dream. His dream... to drive all of the Skylines.

Coming to theaters Fall 2014.

And there was already a perfect Gran Turismo movie. Jackie Chan made it in 1995.
I was thinking that when I read the skyline comment 👍👍👍

The Story is about B-Spec Level 40 Race Driver B.Schulz, from when he started to bump into... I mean succesfully wins his first race at the Clubman Cup at lvl 0, up to him conquering La Sarthe 24hrs. bumping into... *ahem* I mean skilfully hot lapping his 15 competitors in the rain. While he slid a couple of times, he mysteriously managed not to crash a single car in his carrer... wait.

FYI guys this will never happen . Were is the uncharted , God of war movie, even the indie twisted metal movie * got scraped* the only one that ever made it to film was the Infamous movie * 99% sure it turned into premium rush since the guy who was in charge of writing the script wrote the script for premium rush.. and th3 guys magicaly happens to be a bike carrier who happens to look like cole*

I was thinking maybe it is true but the movie is called granturismo but not THE DRIVING SIM GRANTURISMO , gran turismo is an actual word people..

What made Thunderbolt a Gran Turismo movie Tornado?

For this new movie I don't see how they will do it but I sense I won't want to watch it.
I think otherwise.

Dana Brunetti

Michael De Luca

HELL YEAHHHHHHHHH! These guys had a hand in some of the greatest movies of the past 15 years. But, The Love Guru? WHAT!?

NFS and now Gran Turismo...maybe Mario Kart has a new future lol

It'll probably star a GT Academy driver who started out as a lowly gamer on a couch that honed his driving skills and became a professional.
Except the NFS movie will be more like what a Forza movie would be like and very Fast'Furious-like. Gran Turismo will possibly be more like Initial D. You all know it. And don't be facetious about the whole idea.

Fifty shades of vroooooooom.

What with the popularity of Universal's Fast & the Furious franchise, it comes as no surprise that Sony's putting pedal to the metal on its own car movie based on its existing Gran Turismo video game series. What might raise an eyebrow, however? The Gran Turismo movie is being steered by the duo behind the upcoming movie adaption Fifty Shades of Grey.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti will steer the action movie...
How about mentioning a movie that can be critiqued. You know, like a movie that has been made with a cast and stuff. Oh, didn't people think The Social Network (Facebook movie) was a stupid idea?

'50 Shades of Grey' Movie to Be Produced by 'Social Network' Duo

Just AN example of the great movies that they've done together and separately. Look at their credentials, but more so of Michael De Luca's.

Of course, whether De Luca and Brunetti will inject some erotic romance into the picture remains to be seen.

Yea, because Pleasantville was full of that. tehe

If it's based on the game, it'll take an hour to get through the opening credits and then we'll all get booted from the lobby.
What's this? A well thought-out joke? Nooooooooooo. :D

...inject some erotic romance...

It´s starting to make sense now... remember the blonde lady with the phone at the photomode location?

They must´ve planned this movie while developing GT5.

They want this to compete with Fast and Furious.........
If that's the case, it won't be a movie based off of GT. Fast and Furious has turned into a heist/action movie, not a car movie. Fast and Furious has turned into what Oceans 11 started with. A GT movie that is to compete with Fast and Furious will end up having elements that have nothing to do with GT.

It's going to be more realistic than the as-yet-to-be-released Forza Motorsport movie.

Gran Turismo doesn't really have a story. Every player's story is different, so I'm interested in which direction they will take this. I wouldn't want to see a GT Academy story though, we have the reality TV show for that already. A rags to riches story 'loosely' based on the events in the game would be enough, with typical stereotyped drivers coming from various backgrounds. Something like this. Getting your license, winning a lottery of $10,000, starting with Kei cars, progressing to sports and supercars, then touring cars all the way up to LMPs. Then maybe end it with an F1 test drive or a mysterious offer from a particular drinks company to test the 'fastest car ever made' :D

I also hope it doesn't try to appeal to mainstream tastes and try to retain the artistic nature of GT's trailers and intros. I'd rather see this movie done right and flop financially (of course it would be better if it's successful, but it's unlikely) than going the FnF route and diluting the GT brand. And of course, I'm expecting Moon Over The Castle in there somewhere 👍

All this movie is, is a guy playing Gran Turismo in his room at his mom's house yelling at the TV, because the bad AI is giving him artificial road rage.
"IT'S NOT JUST A GAME, MOM!"
